:00:13. > :00:16.Preparations are underway to help protect homes and motorists as more

:00:17. > :00:19.bad weather is forecast to hit Wales on Wednesday -

:00:20. > :00:24.There was chaos in parts of North Wales over the weekend,

:00:25. > :00:26.with homes evacuated, and the A55 dual carriageway

:00:27. > :00:38.shut for hours. Nick Palit reports.

:00:39. > :00:44.Sifting through the flood damaged memories of a lifetime, Evan Hughes

:00:45. > :00:47.is having to throw out many of his mother's treasured photographs after

:00:48. > :00:53.water ravaged these homes in the village near Banga. Unfortunately,

:00:54. > :00:56.householders here know what to do in these circumstances. It is the

:00:57. > :01:02.second time this has happened in three years.

:01:03. > :01:05.We decided to lift the 3-piece and the two chairs onto the table, and

:01:06. > :01:12.then within half an hour, the water was about 18 inches high off the

:01:13. > :01:16.floor of the house. Villagers say they were nowhere near

:01:17. > :01:21.a river, but they are the victims of flood water running off the nearby

:01:22. > :01:24.A55 dual carriageway. They local assembly member says that last time

:01:25. > :01:26.this happened, the Welsh Assembly pledged action to make sure it would

:01:27. > :01:30.never happen again. There is a scheme, a million that

:01:31. > :01:34.they hire scheme, but the Welsh government has so far refused to

:01:35. > :01:37.supply the funds necessary to protect these homes and to protect

:01:38. > :01:41.the A55. The Welsh government say they have

:01:42. > :01:44.committed almost ?300 billion to managing flood risk, which includes

:01:45. > :01:48.significant investment in North Wales. They say they will work with

:01:49. > :01:53.local authorities to see what additional action can be taken to

:01:54. > :01:56.protect homes. With more torrential rain forecast, householders in

:01:57. > :02:00.southern parts of Wales are now on alert.

:02:01. > :02:03.We are getting forecast of a lots of rain on Wednesday, so with the

:02:04. > :02:06.ground already quite wet, and because of the rain we have had,

:02:07. > :02:10.river levels could rise quite quickly. So we are monitoring the

:02:11. > :02:13.situation quite closely, but it will be mostly south Wales that will be

:02:14. > :02:14.affected this time, and not North Wales.

:02:15. > :02:16.And there's one flood warning in place tonight

:02:17. > :02:18.for the Lower Dee Valley and nine other flood alerts.

:02:19. > :02:20.More details on the Natural Resources Wales website.

:02:21. > :02:23.A terminally ill mother has made a plea to her son's killers,

:02:24. > :02:26.to tell her where his remains are buried.

:02:27. > :02:28.Kyle Vaughan, from Newbridge, near Caerphilly, vanished

:02:29. > :02:37.three years ago. Anna Bailey reports.

:02:38. > :02:44.Kyle Vaughan's family are spending their third Christmas without him.

:02:45. > :02:48.The 24-year-old disappeared in 2012, and a police search quickly turned

:02:49. > :02:53.into a murder investigation. His body was never found, eight people

:02:54. > :02:57.investigated were all released without charge. It is likely to be

:02:58. > :03:01.his mother Mary's last Christmas. Her liver cancer has progressed, and

:03:02. > :03:07.doctors say she could have weeks left to live.

:03:08. > :03:11.If somebody has done something to him, they know what has happened to

:03:12. > :03:17.him, and I would just like them to come forward and say. You know, put

:03:18. > :03:23.yourself in my shoes. What would they feel like, if they were going

:03:24. > :03:26.to die and their son or daughter was dead and they didn't know where they

:03:27. > :03:31.were? Kyle was last seen at around 11pm on

:03:32. > :03:39.December 30, 2012. His silver Peugeot was found crashed on the

:03:40. > :03:44.A467. It is not known if he was driving at the time. Police believe

:03:45. > :03:46.several people know what happened to Kyle.

:03:47. > :03:51.I would appeal to those individuals that are currently spending time

:03:52. > :03:55.with their families, to stop, take a moment, and to put themselves in

:03:56. > :04:01.Mary's shoes, and to think about the next few months that this family are

:04:02. > :04:05.facing. Detectives have collected nearly 400

:04:06. > :04:08.statements over the course of their investigation, and are asking for

:04:09. > :04:10.any witnesses to call Crimestoppers. For Kyle's family, time is of the

:04:11. > :04:12.essence. against Crystal Palace

:04:13. > :04:24.at Selhurst Park, securing a third clean sheet in a row to remain

:04:25. > :04:26.above the bottom three In the National League,

:04:27. > :04:29.Wrexham's promotion bid was dented by a 2-0 loss to Halifax,

:04:30. > :04:32.while League 2 leaders Plymouth denied Newport County a point

:04:33. > :04:40.for a final score of 2-1. The weather forecast: Patchy rain
