:00:14. > :00:16.Nearly 40% of teachers banned from the profession in Wales

:00:17. > :00:19.in the last two years have been struck off for having

:00:20. > :00:22."inappropriate" relationships or conversations with pupils.

:00:23. > :00:26.The figures were released by the Education Workforce Council

:00:27. > :00:29.but teaching Unions say such behaviour is still an uncommon

:00:30. > :00:38.Between August 2013 and August 2015, 62 teachers in Wales

:00:39. > :00:42.were subject to disciplinary hearings and of those disciplined,

:00:43. > :00:45.13 of them were struck off for having inappropriate

:00:46. > :00:50.relationships or conversations with pupils in their charge.

:00:51. > :00:53.The offences ranged from having a sexual relationship with a current

:00:54. > :00:55.or former pupil, to sending inappropriate messages

:00:56. > :00:59.or photographs via text, email or Skype.

:01:00. > :01:01.Despite the seriousness of incidents like this,

:01:02. > :01:06.the National Union of Teachers say it's still extremely uncommon.

:01:07. > :01:09.When we actually delve into the figures, you do see this

:01:10. > :01:12.is a very small number of teachers over a period of a few years.

:01:13. > :01:15.It is by no means a common occurrence in our schools.

:01:16. > :01:19.It is by no means something that we see regularly at all.

:01:20. > :01:23.That being said, of course, any accusation or concern should be

:01:24. > :01:29.A child protection charity said the changing online environment

:01:30. > :01:34.and social networking in recent years had introduced massive

:01:35. > :01:37.challenges and risks for the teaching profession.

:01:38. > :01:41.They say some staff get into trouble out of naivete rather than malice,

:01:42. > :01:44.and believes schools must ensure adequate training is given

:01:45. > :01:50.A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious

:01:51. > :01:54.injury by dangerous driving after four people were injured

:01:55. > :01:58.in a crash in Neath Port Talbot in the early hours of this morning.

:01:59. > :02:02.A 15-year-old girl remains in a serious but stable condition

:02:03. > :02:04.following the incident which happened on the Neath Road

:02:05. > :02:11.It's been confirmed that a man who died in a fire at a workshop

:02:12. > :02:14.in Rhyl last week was the owner of the business.

:02:15. > :02:16.Barrie Newton who was 71 and from Rhuddlan ran

:02:17. > :02:21.North Wales Fire and Rescue Service say the blaze isn't being

:02:22. > :02:28.Scientists in Swansea are hoping to be among the first in the world

:02:29. > :02:33.to use 3D printing to reconstruct body parts for human transplant.

:02:34. > :02:36.They're developing a process which turns human cells

:02:37. > :02:38.into a structure which can be printed.

:02:39. > :02:46.Originally, 3D printing recreated objects from plastic and metal.

:02:47. > :02:48.But at Swansea University, they're developing a process

:02:49. > :02:51.which allows biological structures to be

:02:52. > :02:55.It could mean that in the future human body parts for

:02:56. > :03:00.transplant may be grown in a laboratory.

:03:01. > :03:03.We're trying to print biological structures that we can

:03:04. > :03:07.put human cells on, and with the right environment

:03:08. > :03:10.and with the right timing, it can grow into tissue that we can

:03:11. > :03:15.actually eventually put into a human to reconstruct lost body parts,

:03:16. > :03:18.such as parts of the nose, parts of the ear, and,

:03:19. > :03:21.ultimately, larger and more complex body parts.

:03:22. > :03:23.The first step is to take tiny amounts of cells

:03:24. > :03:28.They are then incubated to help them to grow.

:03:29. > :03:31.We are using a number of flasks and things to try

:03:32. > :03:39.They are grown in a single layer culture to start with.

:03:40. > :03:41.And then we can then, once we have enough cells,

:03:42. > :03:44.take these cells out and combine it with the bio-ink

:03:45. > :03:48.that we have in order to print them into shapes.

:03:49. > :03:52.What we're doing is we are making a Jelly Baby.

:03:53. > :03:54.The cells are made into jelly-like shapes

:03:55. > :03:58.which have the right consistency to go into a 3D biological printer.

:03:59. > :04:00.The printed shape is then transferred to

:04:01. > :04:05.a specially built bioreactor which turns the jelly into tissue.

:04:06. > :04:07.We've got the ability to control the growth process.

:04:08. > :04:13.It keeps them at a certain temperature, certain conditions,

:04:14. > :04:17.The team have managed to print a structure

:04:18. > :04:21.Their next challenge is to grow bigger tissues,

:04:22. > :04:25.and then, eventually, to trial whether the tissues

:04:26. > :04:30.A major road on Anglesey is to remain closed

:04:31. > :04:33.following a landslide caused by this week's bad weather.

:04:34. > :04:38.Anglesey Council says engineers are assessing the safety of the A545

:04:39. > :04:43.The Welsh Government says it's making ?1 million available to help

:04:44. > :04:47.councils with immediate repairs and any maintenance needed to river

:04:48. > :04:53.Tributes have been paid to the artist Ogwyn Davies who has

:04:54. > :04:58.He studied at the Swansea School of Art and spent most of his adult

:04:59. > :05:02.life living and working in Tregaron in Ceredigion.

:05:03. > :05:05.Football, and Cardiff City will be hoping for three points

:05:06. > :05:07.against Nottingham Forest this evening.

:05:08. > :05:10.Russell Slade's side are four points off the top six after losing to MK

:05:11. > :05:18.Now with the weather forecast for Wales here's Derek Brockway.

:05:19. > :05:21.We enjoyed some dry weather and sunshine for a change today,

:05:22. > :05:24.but more trouble is brewing over the Atlantic.

:05:25. > :05:27.This massive cloud is a deepening area of low pressure

:05:28. > :05:31.Now, Frank is heading towards Iceland.

:05:32. > :05:35.But we are all in for another spell of wet and windy weather.

:05:36. > :05:38.Met Office warnings in force for both wind and rain.

:05:39. > :05:41.Yellow warnings in Wales, that means be aware.

:05:42. > :05:45.In terms of rainfall, we are looking at another

:05:46. > :05:49.More on higher ground, especially in the south,

:05:50. > :05:58.Now, at the moment, there's just one flood

:05:59. > :06:01.warning in force in the lower Dee Valley.

:06:02. > :06:03.So, through this evening and tonight, more rain spreads

:06:04. > :06:05.across the country, some heavy bursts of rain,

:06:06. > :06:15.From the South, sever gales in parts of the new West and north-west.

:06:16. > :06:17.Tomorrow, a wet and windy start, and wet start as well.

:06:18. > :06:20.Some heavy rain, especially on the heels in the south.

:06:21. > :06:22.During the afternoon, the wind will ease, the rain

:06:23. > :06:25.will ease off as well but still some rainfall in the South and West.

:06:26. > :06:27.Tomorrow evening, showery rain will spread north-west

:06:28. > :06:30.A little snow likely in the mountains in the north.

:06:31. > :06:33.And then for Thursday, New Year's Eve, a chilly

:06:34. > :06:39.Heavy showers in places, accompanied by gusty winds.

:06:40. > :06:42.New Year's Day will be dry, but it's not set to last.

:06:43. > :06:45.There's more rain and strong winds on the way.

:06:46. > :06:47.Don't forget, keep up-to-date with the forecast on the website.

:06:48. > :06:55.That's Wales Today, thank you for watching from all of us

:06:56. > :07:07.Basically, people have a chaotic lifestyle. They've built up many

:07:08. > :07:13.problems over the years. This can lead to homelessness. It's a happy

:07:14. > :07:15.festive season for Martin and his family this year.
