0:00:25 > 0:00:27but teaching Unions say such behaviour is still an uncommon

0:00:36 > 0:00:40Between August 2013 and August 2015, 62 teachers in Wales

0:00:40 > 0:00:43were subject to disciplinary hearings and of those disciplined,

0:00:43 > 0:00:4613 of them were struck off for having inappropriate

0:00:46 > 0:00:52relationships or conversations with pupils in their charge.

0:00:52 > 0:00:54The offences ranged from having a sexual relationship with a current

0:00:54 > 0:00:56or former pupil, to sending inappropriate messages

0:00:56 > 0:01:01or photographs via text, email or Skype.

0:01:01 > 0:01:03Despite the seriousness of incidents like this,

0:01:03 > 0:01:08the National Union of Teachers say it's still extremely uncommon.

0:01:08 > 0:01:10When we actually delve into the figures, you do see this

0:01:10 > 0:01:14is a very small number of teachers over a period of a few years.

0:01:14 > 0:01:16It is by no means a common occurrence in our schools.

0:01:16 > 0:01:20It is by no means something that we see regularly at all.

0:01:20 > 0:01:23That being said, of course, any accusation or concern should be

0:01:23 > 0:01:28investigated fully and impartially.

0:01:28 > 0:01:31A child protection charity said the changing online environment

0:01:31 > 0:01:34and social networking in recent years had introduced massive

0:01:34 > 0:01:38challenges and risks for the teaching profession.

0:01:38 > 0:01:42They say some staff get into trouble out of naivete rather than malice,

0:01:42 > 0:01:45and believes schools must ensure adequate training is given

0:01:45 > 0:01:50so teachers know the boundaries.

0:01:50 > 0:01:52A 20-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of causing serious

0:01:52 > 0:01:56injury by dangerous driving after four people were injured
