:00:24. > :00:27.Officers are treating the death as unexplained,

:00:28. > :00:30.and a postmortem examination is due to take place on Monday.

:00:34. > :00:36.The Welsh Economy and Transport Minister, Edwina Hart,

:00:37. > :00:39.has accused UK government officials of ignorance over suggestions

:00:40. > :00:43.several cross-border rail services could be split up.

:00:44. > :00:47.It would force passengers to change trains at a station near the border.

:01:16. > :01:19.companies providing the service either side of Offa's Dyke and that

:01:20. > :01:22.could leave passengers travelling to places like Birmingham

:01:23. > :01:27.from Aberystwyth having to change at a station near the border.

:01:28. > :01:29.That's a very bad suggestion especially for people

:01:30. > :01:32.going to Birmingham International Airport, which is people

:01:33. > :01:35.from university, hospital, travelling a lot going

:01:36. > :01:44.I have to change over in Shrewsbury anyway.

:01:45. > :01:47.It's only about 20 minutes, 25 minutes maybe, half an hour

:01:48. > :01:50.changeover anyway, so it's just the best option

:01:51. > :01:58.The Department for Transport in London has said it expects that

:01:59. > :02:01.routes serving English communities will be remapped to ensure

:02:02. > :02:04.there is a proper accountability for passengers in England

:02:05. > :02:07.after the franchise has been devolved.

:02:08. > :02:10.The Welsh Transport Minister disagrees.

:02:11. > :02:13.I sometimes think that some of the people that you deal

:02:14. > :02:15.with don't actually understand Wales and they don't understand how things

:02:16. > :02:22.I mean sometimes officials at various levels within DFT

:02:23. > :02:26.but I have to say, at the end of the day, my job is to ensure

:02:27. > :02:29.we have the best passenger service and the best franchise and that's

:02:30. > :02:34.The Department for Transport said it's working closely with the Welsh

:02:35. > :02:38.government and no decision will be made without taking local
