:00:49. > :00:53.I am certainly optimistic here in Wales that we are going to do

:00:54. > :00:56.very well and make a breakthrough, and I think that certainly in Wales

:00:57. > :00:59.and London and Scotland, we will once again do what we did

:01:00. > :01:03.We will surprise the commentators by just how many votes we take

:01:04. > :01:09.Ukip's leader in Wales said leaving the EU would give

:01:10. > :01:18.We can help our farmers farm in the way that they have

:01:19. > :01:21.for centuries, and make the produce, our produce, some of the best

:01:22. > :01:24.We can protect our industries, tap into our natural wealth

:01:25. > :01:31.and resources, and put power back into the hands of the people.

:01:32. > :01:33.Pro-EU campaigners point out that until recently,

:01:34. > :01:40.Traditionally, we have found it very difficult to get our fair share

:01:41. > :01:43.of money from the Treasury, we have found it very difficult

:01:44. > :01:47.to devolve powers from Westminster to Wales, so this is all nonsense

:01:48. > :01:51.and nothing to do with the referendum.

:01:52. > :01:54.They are offering false and empty promises.

:01:55. > :01:57.At the other end of town, Eurosceptic Welsh Tory MP

:01:58. > :02:02.David Jones, sharing a platform with Ukip politicians.

:02:03. > :02:05.Anyone who tells you Wales couldn't manage without the EU is talking

:02:13. > :02:15.People here clearly made up their mind about

:02:16. > :02:21.But it's the undecideds outside this conference hall that Ukip need

:02:22. > :02:24.to persuade if they are going to land that prized catch of a vote

:02:33. > :02:34.The Equality and Human Rights Commission in Wales has criticised

:02:35. > :02:38.the way changes to the state pension age have been made.

:02:39. > :02:40.Thousands of women who've retired or are approaching retirement age

:02:41. > :02:44.claim they've received little or no notice that they'll have to wait

:02:45. > :02:50.But the Department for Work and Pensions says letters were sent

:02:51. > :02:55.to all the affected women letting them know of the changes.

:02:56. > :02:58.What has been a serious problem is the failure to communicate

:02:59. > :03:01.properly with women to let them know the situation,

:03:02. > :03:05.so I am aware of the fact that women who have planned their retirement

:03:06. > :03:08.for a very long time have suddenly discovered that actually,

:03:09. > :03:11.they are not going to get their pension as quickly

:03:12. > :03:13.as they thought, and have had to carry on working longer,

:03:14. > :03:17.and in some instances I understand women have had to go back to work,

:03:18. > :03:20.so this really is a failure on the part of the Government,

:03:21. > :03:22.and although we support the change, it should have

:03:34. > :03:37.given an annual grant instead of NHS prescriptions.
