:01:11. > :01:13.Last night, a decision was taken in India that
:01:14. > :01:20.Tata wants to sell its UK business, including Britain's biggest
:01:21. > :01:23.steelworks in Port Talbot, where 4,000 people are employed.
:01:24. > :01:30.The company also has more than 800 staff at Shotton,
:01:31. > :01:34.another 800 work at its sites in Newport and Llanwern,
:01:35. > :01:39.and 750 people are employed by the company in Trostre in Llanelli.
:01:40. > :01:42.It's not clear how long it will take to find a buyer,
:01:43. > :01:45.but Tata says the search can't go on forever.
:01:46. > :01:48.It has to be done in a time-bound manner.
:01:49. > :01:51.I don't want to define that time at this point of time,
:01:52. > :01:55.but there are several steps to be followed.
:01:56. > :01:57.It has to be done pretty definitively, and it's not
:01:58. > :02:03.It's a blow to the workforce, who know any buyer will face
:02:04. > :02:08.the same challenges that prompted Tata to pull out.
:02:09. > :02:10.We need other things to happen, we need help with energy prices,
:02:11. > :02:13.we need help with dumping of steel to get this plant back
:02:14. > :02:16.into a position where it's making money, and I think
:02:17. > :02:19.a management-workforce buy-out is just a kind of sideshow.
:02:20. > :02:22.Tata says it's pumped money into its British businesses,
:02:23. > :02:27.but it's lost money as well - ?2 billion in five years.
:02:28. > :02:31.The company says it wants steel-making to continue
:02:32. > :02:34.in Port Talbot, but it can't commit to keeping this plant open
:02:35. > :02:38.indefinitely while it searches for a buyer.
:02:39. > :02:41.Tata's board in Mumbai rejected a plan by local managers to turn
:02:42. > :02:48.Now the Welsh Government says it will do what it can to help.
:02:49. > :02:52.It's a question of being able to influence Tata as much as we can,
:02:53. > :02:55.but Tata took a decision some weeks ago that they saw a difficult future
:02:56. > :02:59.for them in the UK, but they have to deliver to their word now,
:03:00. > :03:02.they have to be responsible sellers, give enough time for a buyer to come
:03:03. > :03:04.forward, and also of course keep their operations
:03:05. > :03:09.The UK Government has said it is open to ideas,
:03:10. > :03:13.but there are limits to how far it will intervene.
:03:14. > :03:17.I don't think that nationalisation is going to be the solution,
:03:18. > :03:20.because I think everyone would want a long-term,
:03:21. > :03:22.viable solution, and if you look around Europe and elsewhere,
:03:23. > :03:24.I think nationalisation is rarely the answer,
:03:25. > :03:26.particularly if you take into account the big challenges
:03:27. > :03:31.But there are solutions, I think, to this, once we understand
:03:32. > :03:32.the situation better, and we want to make sure
:03:33. > :03:38.Despite the competition from cheaper Chinese steel,
:03:39. > :03:42.the experts think Welsh-made steel can have a role to play.
:03:43. > :03:46.We need steel as part of our foundational economy.
:03:47. > :03:49.It means that we can make things, it means that we can make great
:03:50. > :03:53.things, for global markets, particularly, in this case,
:03:54. > :03:58.For months, the industry has warned it faces a crisis.
:03:59. > :04:01.But the politicians have said they need months,
:04:02. > :04:05.not weeks, to find a buyer for these plants, where tonight,
:04:06. > :04:10.thousands of people face an uncertain future.
:04:11. > :04:12.Prime Minister David Cameron and First Minister for
:04:13. > :04:14.Wales Carwyn Jones have discussed Tata this afternoon.
:04:15. > :04:17.A Downing Street spokesman says they agreed the UK
:04:18. > :04:21.and Welsh Governments would continue to work closely to try and secure
:04:22. > :04:24.the future of steel making at Port Talbot and elsewhere
:04:25. > :04:29.Assembly Members here have been recalled to the Senedd on Monday
:04:30. > :04:34.Politicians from across the polical spectrum have been giving
:04:35. > :04:41.It's a critical time, and it's a time where all of us,
:04:42. > :04:45.all parties, all interested people involved, need to get together,
:04:46. > :04:49.work out a plan that safeguard these jobs.

:04:54. > :04:56.and one that we need to leave no stone unturned in saving.

:05:32. > :05:35.been experiencing a "drug-induced psychotic episode" when he killed

:06:10. > :06:12.individual who had received psychiatric treatment in prison
:06:13. > :06:16.Williams was low in mood when he was released,
:06:17. > :06:20.but didn't show signs or symptoms of mental illness.
:06:21. > :06:23.He refused extra help on the outside.
:06:24. > :06:25.Matthew Williams' family say they have highlighted inaccuracies
:06:26. > :06:30.in the report and are not happy with it in its entirety.
:06:31. > :06:33.There was nothing in our evidence that we have seen that would lead us
:06:34. > :06:36.to conclude that we have been inaccurate in terms of what's been
:06:37. > :06:42.The report also makes ten recommendations,
:06:43. > :06:46.including sharing more information between prisons and health boards,
:06:47. > :06:54.training for managers of prison Labour accommodation,
:06:55. > :06:56.training for managers of prison leaver accommodation,
:06:57. > :06:58.and clear and confidential support for families and staff involved
