:01:47. > :01:52.What I am concerned about is the prices are dropping so much,

:01:53. > :01:55.I hope they don't get into the hands of people who will misuse them.

:01:56. > :02:01.A so-called task force to look at the issue across Europe

:02:02. > :02:07.No near misses involving drones have been reported in Wales,

:02:08. > :02:12.and while complaints are low, they are increasing in most places.

:02:13. > :02:16.Gwent Police reported no incidents between 2011 and 2014,

:02:17. > :02:19.but in the past year there were 19 complaints.

:02:20. > :02:22.None which led to injury, and there were no prosecutions.

:02:23. > :02:27.South Wales Police have received 38 complaints in the past year,

:02:28. > :02:32.five warnings handed out about flying in prohibited areas.

:02:33. > :02:34.Dyfed-Powys Police has had nine complaints in the past year,

:02:35. > :02:39.Only North Wales Police did not see an increase,

:02:40. > :02:45.This man runs a company flying drones professionally.

:02:46. > :02:47.He has registered with the Civil Aviation Authority

:02:48. > :02:50.and trains others how to use them safely.

:02:51. > :02:54.You need to stay at least 50 metres away from people,

:02:55. > :02:57.objects, structures, cars that are not

:02:58. > :03:02.A lot of people don't know the rules, they don't know how

:03:03. > :03:05.important it is to understand how these things work.

:03:06. > :03:10.We have got to reach these people, that is the difficult bit.

:05:28. > :05:32.There's also a parliamentary by-election taking place

:05:33. > :05:38.The polls close at 10pm, with the results expected in

:05:39. > :05:44.The battle of Mametz Wood was one of the bloodiest

:05:45. > :05:46.of the First World War, killing and injuring thousands

:05:47. > :05:52.July this year is the 100th anniversary of the battle,

:05:53. > :05:56.and as part of the commemorations a new exhibition is displaying some

:05:57. > :06:07.They are the images of a battle where so many Welshmen died.

:06:08. > :06:10.At Mametz Wood, 4,000 were killed or injured in a war that

:06:11. > :06:13.would eventually claim 8 million lives.

:06:14. > :06:17.The National Museum in Cardiff has brought together the art inspired

:06:18. > :06:20.by Mametz Wood to remind a new generation about

:06:21. > :06:26.War's Hell is the name of the exhibition, and this painting

:06:27. > :06:31.by the pacifist Christopher Williams aimed to convey the real hell

:06:32. > :06:36.It was painted shortly after the battle.

:06:37. > :06:39.The artist from Maesteg was not a soldier, but travelled

:06:40. > :06:42.to the Somme to paint a canvas that would hang in Downing Street

:06:43. > :06:52.He was a lifelong pacifist and member of the Fabian Society.

:06:53. > :06:56.To take on a commission like this was a big thing for him,

:06:57. > :06:59.but he had something he wanted to say.

:07:00. > :07:02.There are modern war artists, like Dan Peterson, who was a TA

:07:03. > :07:06.with the Parachute Regiment and who painted the Queen's Tribune Guards

:07:07. > :07:11.More recently he was with the Royal Navy as they rescued

:07:12. > :07:15.migrants in the Mediterranean, giving his own interpretation

:07:16. > :07:22.It is really important in the same way that poetry needs to be written,

:07:23. > :07:28.certain types of documentaries need to be made, and certain artists need

:07:29. > :07:33.to be allowed to give a different perspective.

:07:34. > :07:36.In military terms the battle of Mametz Wood was a success,

:07:37. > :07:38.gaining the ground for the British and forcing the Germans

:07:39. > :07:44.But the huge sacrifice paid by men from Wales remained among

:07:45. > :07:48.the darkest moments of the war and survives in art to remind

:07:49. > :07:54.us of the lives lost a hundred years on.
