0:00:09 > 0:00:11Good Evening.

0:00:11 > 0:00:13The Newport West MP Paul Flynn has been appointed

0:00:13 > 0:00:16as the new Shadow Secretary of State for Wales.

0:00:16 > 0:00:19Mr Flynn, who's 81, will carry out the role along with that

0:00:19 > 0:00:21of Shadow Leader of the House.

0:00:21 > 0:00:23Meanwhile the former Labour leader Lord Kinnock has called

0:00:23 > 0:00:26on Jeremy Corbyn to step aside.

0:00:26 > 0:00:29Here's our Political Correspondent, Arwyn Jones.

0:00:29 > 0:00:32Last week he was apopinted as the Shadow Leader

0:00:32 > 0:00:36of the House and today, as more and more Labour MPs refused

0:00:36 > 0:00:38to serve in the Shadow Cabinet, Paul Flynn is also the Shadow

0:00:38 > 0:00:41Secretary of State for Wales.

0:00:41 > 0:00:45He took to social media to say, while he was happy

0:00:45 > 0:00:52with his two roles, he thought it best to pass on the chance to take

0:00:52 > 0:00:54Aaron Ramsey's place in the Wales team as well!

0:00:54 > 0:00:56But not everyone's been in such high spirits today.

0:00:56 > 0:00:58As a Labour Leader during the turbulent 1980s,

0:00:58 > 0:01:01Neil Kinnock knows a thing or two about keeping the party together.

0:01:01 > 0:01:04When he was in charge, though, he fought against the party's left,

0:01:04 > 0:01:05the very people defending Jeremy Corbyn now.

0:01:05 > 0:01:09After a majority of MPs backed a vote of no confidence

0:01:09 > 0:01:12in Mr Corbyn last week, today, the former leader urged the current

0:01:12 > 0:01:14leader to stand aside.

0:01:14 > 0:01:17Under the rules of the Labour Party, under the democratic

0:01:17 > 0:01:20provisions of the Labour Party and the common-sense provisions of the

0:01:20 > 0:01:24Labour Party, the leader must have substantial support

0:01:24 > 0:01:28in the Parliamentary party.

0:01:28 > 0:01:31Obviously there is no basis on which Jeremy

0:01:31 > 0:01:33really could or should stay.

0:01:33 > 0:01:35And Lord Kinnock wasn't the only one calling

0:01:35 > 0:01:38for the Labour leader to go today, Rhondda MP Chris Bryant said it

0:01:38 > 0:01:44would break the back of the party if Mr Corbyn remained in charge.

0:01:44 > 0:01:48We, the supporters of Jeremy Corbyn...

0:01:48 > 0:01:51At this rally in Cardiff Friday night there was plenty

0:01:51 > 0:01:52of support for Mr Corbyn.

0:01:52 > 0:01:55His supporters say the fact he was elected last September

0:01:55 > 0:01:57with an overwhelming majority has to count for something,

0:01:57 > 0:02:02but others suggest that support might be waning.

0:02:02 > 0:02:04Yesterday we reported from the former Labour cabinet

0:02:04 > 0:02:09minister, Peter Hain that these were dangerous times for the party.

0:02:09 > 0:02:12At a time when they could be turning their attacks on a clearly

0:02:12 > 0:02:14divided Conservative party in Westminster,

0:02:14 > 0:02:15the internal wranglings inside the Labour party

0:02:15 > 0:02:19show no sign of waning.

0:02:19 > 0:02:22South Wales Police are continuing to question a 42-year-old man

0:02:22 > 0:02:25after the death of a 27-year-old man in Barry in the early

0:02:25 > 0:02:27hours of Saturday.

0:02:27 > 0:02:29Police are treating the death as unexplained.

0:02:29 > 0:02:32A 29-year-old man, who was arrested, has been released and

0:02:32 > 0:02:35will not face any action.

0:02:35 > 0:02:38Football - and the Wales team trained in Dinard this morning,

0:02:38 > 0:02:40preparing for Wedensday night's semi-final against

0:02:40 > 0:02:42Portugal in Euro 2016.

0:02:42 > 0:02:45They will be without Aaron Ramsey and Ben Davies who are suspended,

0:02:45 > 0:02:48but the Manager feels the sqaud is strong enough to deal

0:02:48 > 0:02:52with the loss.

0:02:52 > 0:02:55When leaving Dinard for the quarterfinals last week some

0:02:55 > 0:03:05journalists may have thought the time he had come to an end.

0:03:05 > 0:03:07But in numbers, they're back in Brittany.

0:03:07 > 0:03:09More media personnel than ever eager to

0:03:09 > 0:03:12hear from the most successful manager in Welsh football history.

0:03:12 > 0:03:15I think the time for us to start reflecting on this tournament will

0:03:15 > 0:03:19be whenever the time is for us to go home.

0:03:19 > 0:03:22And that time is not now.

0:03:22 > 0:03:25Also put in front of the press today, the

0:03:25 > 0:03:28man who fooled three Belgian defenders in Lille on Friday night.

0:03:28 > 0:03:33His fancy footwork sure to be re-enacted by children on pitches

0:03:33 > 0:03:37throughout the country for years to come.

0:03:37 > 0:03:41Obviously what it meant to the nation and the manner in which I

0:03:41 > 0:03:45scored it, it was a special feeling for myself and for all of us.

0:03:45 > 0:03:50So, yeah, a goal all right.

0:03:50 > 0:03:54In this beautiful seaside town of Dinard, Chris Coleman has plotted

0:03:54 > 0:03:56a remarkable journey through Euro 2016.

0:03:56 > 0:03:58They are in the semifinal.

0:03:58 > 0:03:59It is Wales versus Portugal.

0:03:59 > 0:04:02Gareth Bale versus Cristiano Ronaldo.

0:04:02 > 0:04:05They have some of the best players on the

0:04:05 > 0:04:15planet.

0:04:17 > 0:04:20Obviously at Real Madrid they know each other very well but he

0:04:20 > 0:04:22can still, he still has the capacity to do something special.

0:04:22 > 0:04:23Unstoppable.

0:04:23 > 0:04:24Of course that's the danger.

0:04:24 > 0:04:27But we've got one of them as well in our team.

0:04:27 > 0:04:29Wales will be without Aaron Ramsey and Ben Davis

0:04:29 > 0:04:32on Wednesday night, both suspended after seeing two yellow cards during

0:04:32 > 0:04:33the tournament.

0:04:33 > 0:04:35A ruling slightly unfair says the manager.

0:04:35 > 0:04:37You've got to feel for them because they've

0:04:37 > 0:04:40done so much the same as everybody else to get us where we are but

0:04:40 > 0:04:42again that is the tournament of football.

0:04:42 > 0:04:43Just the rules with the yellow cards.

0:04:43 > 0:04:46I thought, to be honest, the yellow card for Rambo

0:04:46 > 0:04:48was a harsh one to be honest.

0:04:48 > 0:04:49You've got Eden Hazard who almost picked

0:04:49 > 0:04:53the ball up and started bouncing it with his hand and never got a yellow

0:04:53 > 0:04:58card.

0:04:58 > 0:05:01Whatever happens in Lyon in three days' time, Euro 2016 has been

0:05:01 > 0:05:02historically special for Wales but these men

0:05:02 > 0:05:03aren't ready to go home

0:05:03 > 0:05:06and who would bet against them going all the way?

0:05:06 > 0:05:09A record number of television viewers in Wales witnessed the Welsh

0:05:09 > 0:05:12team make history by reaching the semi-finals of Euro 2016.

0:05:12 > 0:05:15The audience here for the 3 - 1 win over Belgium peaked

0:05:15 > 0:05:19at 1.27 million - the highest-ever in the country for live sport.

0:05:19 > 0:05:23It was also the third-highest TV audience in Wales this century,

0:05:23 > 0:05:25exceeded only by the opening and closing ceremonies

0:05:25 > 0:05:33of the London 2012 Olympics.

0:05:33 > 0:05:36A look at the weather forecast and it'll be a dry night with some

0:05:36 > 0:05:38clearer spells developing, especially through the early hours.

0:05:38 > 0:05:41Tomorrow, after a generally dry start, many areas will turn cloudy.

0:05:41 > 0:05:43There'll be some drizzle around in places, especially over higher

0:05:43 > 0:05:45ground and along the coast.

0:05:45 > 0:05:49Top temperature, 18C.

0:05:49 > 0:05:50That's Wales Today.

0:05:50 > 0:05:53I'll be back with our later update at around 10:35.

0:05:53 > 0:05:54Enjoy the rest of your evening.

0:05:54 > 0:05:58Bye for now.

0:06:02 > 0:06:05Bye-bye.
