:00:48. > :00:54.Miss al-Jeffrey says she's being imprisoned by her father
:00:55. > :00:58.there, without food or water - allegations he denies.
:00:59. > :01:02.Tonight - the MP Geraint Davies says the UK Government must take action
:01:03. > :01:10.This is 21-year-old Amina al-Jeffrey.
:01:11. > :01:13.She claims to have been locked up against her will by her
:01:14. > :01:21.Behind her, the cage she says she has been kept in.
:01:22. > :01:23.The High Court in London has heard evidence from Amina
:01:24. > :01:26.al-Jeffrey's lawyers and those representing her father,
:01:27. > :01:33.But Swansea West MP Mr Davies says he is writing
:01:34. > :01:36.to the Foreign Secretary calling for the UK Government to do
:01:37. > :01:41.I'm asking the Foreign Secretary to verify the evidence that she is
:01:42. > :01:44.being constrained against her will, if that is the case,
:01:45. > :01:49.to ensure that as a 21-year-old British citizen, she is allowed
:01:50. > :01:54.to return back to Britain and he takes all necessary
:01:55. > :01:57.steps to ensure the Saudi Government ensures that.
:01:58. > :02:00.This was Amina al-Jeffrey aged 16, a former pupil
:02:01. > :02:05.It is understood she was taken to Saudi Arabia by her father more
:02:06. > :02:13.He claims he took her here to Jeddah in order to save her life.
:02:14. > :02:17.He claims her daughter was not doing well at school and had been taking
:02:18. > :02:22.drugs and going to clubs and spending time with older men.
:02:23. > :02:26.Last October, Amina al-Jeffrey got in touch with friends,
:02:27. > :02:31.In an interview with this programme, one of those friends,
:02:32. > :02:34.who wished to remain anonymous, said she had managed to get hold
:02:35. > :02:46.The French showed me messages sent to them on Facebook.
:02:47. > :02:49.In them, she says she has been locked up in solitary confinement
:02:50. > :02:53.She said her family has her under constant surveillance.
:02:54. > :02:55.And that if they get suspicious about seeking help,
:02:56. > :02:59.Her friend told me she had asked them to contact the British Embassy,
:03:00. > :03:02.but in December last year, the messages stopped.
:03:03. > :03:05.One expert on race relations believes this case highlights
:03:06. > :03:07.the tension that can arise between two very
:03:08. > :03:16.These children have every right to live in the United Kingdom,
:03:17. > :03:18.where they were born, and to take them away
:03:19. > :03:27.from that situation is not going to help the individual.
:03:28. > :03:30.The Foreign Office says it has been providing assistance to Amina
:03:31. > :03:34.al-Jeffrey in Saudi Arabia as part of an ongoing legal process
:03:35. > :03:38.and that it will respond to Mr Davies letter in due course.
:03:39. > :03:42.It has been described in court as an important and difficult case.
:03:43. > :03:45.Mr Justice Harman is expected to make a decision at
:03:46. > :03:53.UKIP's leader in Wales, Nathan Gill, may be forced to leave the party,
:03:54. > :03:57.because of concerns over him double jobbing, as an MEP
:03:58. > :04:03.The party's National Executive Committee voted to remove him -
:04:04. > :04:05.unless he resigns from one of his elected positions,
:04:06. > :04:08.a decision that he's described as "undemocratic" and "baseless."
:04:09. > :04:22.But UKIP's leader in the Assembly says Mr Gill has a choice to make.
:04:23. > :04:25.You can't do two jobs properly, so he has to choose one
:04:26. > :04:28.or the other if he wants to stay as an MEP, fine.
:04:29. > :04:33.I need someone who is one of committed to the assembly

:05:04. > :05:14.It was busy enough and there was little sign of the kind of behaviour
:05:15. > :05:19.Popular with young families, but there have been
:05:20. > :05:26.It is included in the area covered by the restrictions.
:05:27. > :05:31.I found Barry Roberts and his friend Samantha Adams, both homeless.
:05:32. > :05:34.They stay in a night shelter when they can, they told me.
:05:35. > :05:37.You had to queue up every night and it get picked out of a hat
:05:38. > :05:41.and if you get picked out, you have two leaves so it is not
:05:42. > :05:44.guaranteed that you will get a nightmare and the rest of the time
:05:45. > :05:47.you have been sleeping in bushes and stuff.
:05:48. > :05:50.What have you been told about this new public order?
:05:51. > :05:54.That people are getting moved on for drinking and things
:05:55. > :06:09.But fair are not, some people do feel intimidated.
:06:10. > :06:12.It is not good for them to see, is it?
:06:13. > :06:16.I am all right on my own, but when the kids around,
:06:17. > :06:20.On the other side of town, again within the area
:06:21. > :06:21.affected by the new powers, there was this.
:06:22. > :06:23.It was clear people were sleeping out here.
:06:24. > :06:26.And just now, there is evidence of a makeshift tent,
:06:27. > :06:28.but it isn't just rough sleeping on the ground.
:06:29. > :06:30.There is evidence of drug-taking as well.
:06:31. > :06:32.Used syringes and syringe wrappers and we are just yards
:06:33. > :06:36.The council hopes to create a no-go area for what it considers
:06:37. > :06:41.In the first instance, people with problems will be pointed
:06:42. > :06:48.Fines of up to ?100 and the court or a last resort.
:06:49. > :06:52.It is about enabling these people to improve their quality of life
:06:53. > :06:56.so that the people who go about their law-abiding business
:06:57. > :06:59.in the town centre, the visitors, the shoppers, can do that
:07:00. > :07:02.without fear of being intimidated by people who are under
:07:03. > :07:08.The services in the middle of Wrexham town centre
:07:09. > :07:17.and what this order does, basically, it puts people out
:07:18. > :07:19.to the periphery so I wouldn't agree that this does help them
:07:20. > :07:23.I think it makes them harder for them to access the services.
:07:24. > :07:26.Wrexham council insists it doesn't simply want to pose problems
:07:27. > :07:35.And according to the authority these orders have been
:07:36. > :07:37.The way it is implemented is the key.
