:00:00. > :00:00.degrees. Fiona. Thank you, Sarah. That's all from the BBC News at

:00:00. > :00:09.Our headlines tonight: You can smell the smoke from miles away.

:00:10. > :00:13.The fourth fire in four years at this recycling plant.

:00:14. > :00:26.This can't be allowed to happen a fifth time. It's beyond belief.

:00:27. > :00:32.It's Friday Night rugby in the Six Nations.

:00:33. > :00:37.We are going to do it! We are going to do with!

:00:38. > :00:40.Thousands have descended on Cardiff, Ireland are going for the title.

:00:41. > :00:45.Wales, hoping to avoid a 3rd successive defeat.

:00:46. > :00:53.We play for a proud nation and people say is the pressure on? The

:00:54. > :01:03.pressure is always on for Wales. New figures show a rise

:01:04. > :01:10.in crimes involving dogs, but the numbers of dangerous animals

:01:11. > :01:23.seized is falling. We are concerned about people

:01:24. > :01:26.bringing dogs into the home without assessing the history of the dog,

:01:27. > :01:27.temperament of the dog or suitability.

:01:28. > :01:31.And there are only a handful of girls like Mair Thomas

:01:32. > :01:33.studying for engineering , why we need to drastically

:01:34. > :01:41.Over a week after it started firefighters are still tackling

:01:42. > :01:43.a 2,000 tonne rubbish fire at a recycling plant

:01:44. > :01:48.Crews have been at the Siteserv Recycling plant

:01:49. > :01:51.in Llandow continually - since the blaze began

:01:52. > :01:56.Some residents have had to leave home and businesses say it's

:01:57. > :02:12.Billowing across the Vale of Glamorgan countryside, this fire is

:02:13. > :02:16.still well alight when we gone. Nearby Llandow circuit is surrounded

:02:17. > :02:21.by smoke. Sharon Evans organises motoring events here as well as

:02:22. > :02:27.running a caravan park next door. She says they've lost around ?12,000

:02:28. > :02:31.after having to turn customers away. And it's not the first time this has

:02:32. > :02:36.happened. This is the fourth blaze at the site in four years.

:02:37. > :02:48.The girls in the cafe are not having any income. The boy who services the

:02:49. > :02:50.supercars, he's not getting have 300 people coming every day, with family

:02:51. > :02:57.and spending money in the locality. All this is lost. This cannot be

:02:58. > :03:01.allowed to happen for a fifth time. Firefighters have been tackling the

:03:02. > :03:07.blaze since it started over a week ago. So far they've had 500 crew

:03:08. > :03:14.fighting it using 125 appliances. Crews were faced with a difficult

:03:15. > :03:18.fire both in terms of intensity and the access for ourselves. There was

:03:19. > :03:22.a significant amount of structured steelwork which had collapsed. An

:03:23. > :03:26.intense amount of heat which required a significant plan by an

:03:27. > :03:30.incident commander. Despite concerns in the local community regarding the

:03:31. > :03:34.fire and the length of time we present here we are doing everything

:03:35. > :03:39.we possibly can working with partners to bring this to an

:03:40. > :03:45.effective conclusion. Because of the blaze is unknown. But all the

:03:46. > :03:49.previous were cast in eat-macro classed as accidental. This latest

:03:50. > :03:54.fire has led to natural resources Wales suspending the license of

:03:55. > :03:59.operators preventing more waste being brought here. Site serves say

:04:00. > :04:02.they are devastated and are working around the clock to help

:04:03. > :04:07.firefighters bring it under control. The advice to nearby residents and

:04:08. > :04:11.businesses is to stay inside as much as possible, keeping windows and

:04:12. > :04:14.doors closed to reduce exposure to the smoke.

:04:15. > :04:18.Although the risk to health is thought to be low. Dawn and her

:04:19. > :04:22.family had to temporarily move because of the smoke.

:04:23. > :04:27.Her pets have been affected too. We moved out for two nights because the

:04:28. > :04:30.smoke has been so bad inside the house and gardens. We had to bring

:04:31. > :04:36.the animals indoors because the cages were covered with smoke. Just

:04:37. > :04:42.follow of smoke. We lost a baby bunny. They were only a few days

:04:43. > :04:46.old. We have two lock the animals indoors.

:04:47. > :04:51.It's been horrendous. At least 2000 tonnes of rubbish is booming here

:04:52. > :04:54.sending fumes as far as Bridgend, Barry and Penarth. Local residents

:04:55. > :04:58.and business owners are affected most by this, and with the fire

:04:59. > :04:59.continued to burn they are likely to have to deal with its effects for

:05:00. > :05:05.have to deal with its effects for the next few days.

:05:06. > :05:08.Tens of thousands of rugby fans are descending on Cardiff tonight

:05:09. > :05:11.Tomos Dafydd is at the Principality Stadium.

:05:12. > :05:13.It's the usual frenetic Friday night in the capital city,

:05:14. > :05:16.tonight there's the added spice of a Six Nations match,

:05:17. > :05:23.The gates have just opened, fans trickling in.

:05:24. > :05:26.Wales are trying to avoid a 3rd successive 6 Nations

:05:27. > :05:31.defeats in a season, they haven't suffered that

:05:32. > :05:36.Unlike Wales, Ireland can win the title, and are favourites

:05:37. > :05:39.tonight having won five of the last eight championship games in Cardiff.

:05:40. > :05:49.We are going to do it! We are going to do it!

:05:50. > :05:53.They've come in their thousands, regardless of whether they

:05:54. > :05:56.Irish and Welsh fans soaking up the pre-match atmosphere,

:05:57. > :05:59.happily mixing on the streets of Cardiff before their

:06:00. > :06:06.But I think Ireland will probably get away with it.

:06:07. > :06:15.For the teams themselves they are playing for very different things.

:06:16. > :06:18.Wales want to right the wrongs of that second half in Murrayfield

:06:19. > :06:22.and avoid a third successive six Nations loss.

:06:23. > :06:24.Ireland have one eye on a potential championship decider

:06:25. > :06:35.You want to actually play the Island games

:06:36. > :06:36.a week after Scotland, but it's two weeks.

:06:37. > :06:41.It's given us a lot of time to rest our bodies, and hopefully

:06:42. > :06:43.we'll be in good shape on Friday night.

:06:44. > :06:47.It's a game which, I think we are playing against probably one

:06:48. > :06:49.of the most savvy sides in world rugby.

:06:50. > :06:51.They are very clever, they are smart, intelligent rugby

:06:52. > :06:55.players and it's going to be a huge challenge.

:06:56. > :06:59.We won the championship in 14, And 15, we previously

:07:00. > :07:08.It's a challenge for both sides and an opportunity for both sides

:07:09. > :07:14.to have those unchanged starting 15 is, and the full 23 for Wales.

:07:15. > :07:19.The atmosphere will be electric tonight.

:07:20. > :07:22.And there could be easier matches to earn your 50th cap,

:07:23. > :07:24.Justin Tipuric will win his, and he is relishing

:07:25. > :07:29.They've beaten New Zealand, they've done great things.

:07:30. > :07:33.You know, they've had to be one loss against Scotland,

:07:34. > :07:37.they are trying to bounce back every game.

:07:38. > :07:40.You can see the doing great stuff, you know, it's going to be a big

:07:41. > :07:47.Set piecewise, and their forwards taking things forward.

:07:48. > :07:49.Under the closed roof victory for Wales would also guarantee

:07:50. > :07:52.a top eight seeding ahead of the Rugby World Cup draw in May.

:07:53. > :07:55.Rob Howley has stressed it was important to give the same

:07:56. > :07:58.group of players the opportunity to go out and perform.

:07:59. > :08:03.And with Warren Gatland keeping a close eye on proceedings the stage

:08:04. > :08:11.is set for a memorable night in Cardiff.

:08:12. > :08:14.The coaches carrying both squads will arrive

:08:15. > :08:19.Stay with us, we'll get the thoughts some familiar faces later,

:08:20. > :08:21.former players you know what the current crop

:08:22. > :08:24.are going through right now, with less than 90 minutes to go

:08:25. > :08:33.Crimes involving dogs, including attacks on members of the public,

:08:34. > :08:39.have risen by almost a quarter in Wales.

:08:40. > :08:42.Figures from the four police forces here show the number went up,

:08:43. > :08:47.Despite the increase the number of dogs seized under

:08:48. > :08:56.This was Erfan Ali, the day after he was attacked

:08:57. > :09:00.The Rhodesian Ridgeback jumped through a broken fence,

:09:01. > :09:06.That was six years ago, since then he's had two operations

:09:07. > :09:10.and will need more surgery in the future.

:09:11. > :09:11.He suffered physically as well as mentally.

:09:12. > :09:15.Please, please, take care of your pets.

:09:16. > :09:20.So far the number around the UK have been increasing.

:09:21. > :09:27.We need to take care of our own pets and save those attacks.

:09:28. > :09:30.New figures obtained by BBC Wales show the number

:09:31. > :09:32.of crimes involving dogs, which include attacks

:09:33. > :09:35.on members of the public, has gone up from 510 in 2015

:09:36. > :09:41.North Wales Police saw the largest increase from 158 incidents to 246.

:09:42. > :09:44.Meanwhile, the number of dogs seized under the Dangerous Dogs Act

:09:45. > :09:50.during the same period has gone down.

:09:51. > :09:54.What we are concerned about is people bringing dogs

:09:55. > :10:01.into the home without assessing the history of the dog,

:10:02. > :10:06.assessing the history of the dog, temperament of the dog or

:10:07. > :10:17.Jane from Swansea is part of a campaign group,

:10:18. > :10:19.to the group Born Innocent, who lobby against the

:10:20. > :10:23.She says the focus needs to move away from dangerous breeds,

:10:24. > :10:25.and focus on dangerous dogs in general.

:10:26. > :10:26.A dog is a product of its environment.

:10:27. > :10:29.You know, a dog, if it is properly trained, and socialised,

:10:30. > :10:32.and introduced to plenty of other dogs, and plenty of other people,

:10:33. > :10:35.99% of the time it will turn out to be a good dog.

:10:36. > :10:38.The problem arises when people have dogs they don't take them out

:10:39. > :10:40.for enough exercise, the dogs are bored.

:10:41. > :10:43.And they are not socialising with other dogs, so when they do

:10:44. > :10:45.meet other dogs, then they become fearful, reactive, if they are not

:10:46. > :10:49.socialised enough around people again, strange people are an unknown

:10:50. > :10:55.quantity to the dog and it becomes reactive to them.

:10:56. > :10:58.In a statement the Welsh government said tackling the issue of dangerous

:10:59. > :11:01.dogs can't be achieved through legislation alone.

:11:02. > :11:05.They add that in Wales compulsory micro-chipping of dogs has been

:11:06. > :11:07.introduced and dog breeding regulations require an animal to be

:11:08. > :11:13.socialised as far as it can before leaving the breeding premises.

:11:14. > :11:15.Bridgend Council has made a "goodwill payment" of more

:11:16. > :11:18.than three thousand pounds to a foster care-leaver,

:11:19. > :11:24.The Public Services Ombudsman for Wales had asked the authority

:11:25. > :11:27.to pay Rob Johnson - after an investigation

:11:28. > :11:34.found their monitoring of his savings was "inadequate".

:11:35. > :11:42.a lot of people have gone through social services, foster care and

:11:43. > :11:47.haven't received their payment. Hopefully seeing what's happened

:11:48. > :11:52.with me makes them feel more encouraged to go through and try and

:11:53. > :11:54.earn back their savings. At the end of the day, everyone is entitled to

:11:55. > :11:59.The pilot of a micro-light escaped without serious

:12:00. > :12:00.injury after crashing into the River Cleddau

:12:01. > :12:05.The aircraft entered the water at Burton

:12:06. > :12:09.The pilot managed to swim to shore and was taken to hospital.

:12:10. > :12:11.Cells at Dolgellau police station are being closed,

:12:12. > :12:14.after it emerged that keeping people in custody there costs ?623 a night,

:12:15. > :12:17.more than twice that of the other cells in north Wales.

:12:18. > :12:20.North Wales police say they were under used,

:12:21. > :12:25.averaging one detainee a day, with half of those being held

:12:26. > :12:34.The closure will save the force ?300,000 a year.

:12:35. > :12:38.Wales will not be represented on the BBC's new governing board

:12:39. > :12:43.It follows a disagreement between the governments

:12:44. > :12:46.in Westminster and Cardiff about who should get the job.

:12:47. > :12:53.Let's have a word with our Arts and Media Correspondent Huw Thomas.

:12:54. > :13:00.What is going on? Basically its deadlock between Westminster and

:13:01. > :13:06.Cardiff Bay over who should represent Wales on this BBC board.

:13:07. > :13:12.The top seed that the BBC. The job itself will represent audiences in

:13:13. > :13:16.Wales, it gives them the seat, but its work will begin next month

:13:17. > :13:22.without a Welsh representative. The empty seat has come about because of

:13:23. > :13:29.a falling out between UK and Welsh government over who should get the

:13:30. > :13:32.job. The decision is down to the UK culture sector, Karen Bradley, but

:13:33. > :13:36.she needs the consent of the Welsh government to appoint and the Welsh

:13:37. > :13:41.government said no. The identity of the person has not been revealed but

:13:42. > :13:44.I'm told it's somebody with considerable broadcasting and

:13:45. > :13:48.boardroom experience. The Welsh government told me it blocked the UK

:13:49. > :13:51.Government's choice because they didn't agree with it and thought

:13:52. > :13:58.they were other candidates who were better. The Welsh government's

:13:59. > :14:02.decision has raised eyebrows in Whitehall because it is unusual for

:14:03. > :14:06.a devolved government to block an appointment to a position where

:14:07. > :14:12.powers, in this case, broadcasting, haven't been devolved.

:14:13. > :14:17.What happens next? The board begins its work next month without a Welsh

:14:18. > :14:23.representative on it. Among this board first task will be to examine

:14:24. > :14:26.how best the BBC does in the nations. One will the Welsh league

:14:27. > :14:31.be filled? The appointment process could take months to complete, not

:14:32. > :14:34.to mention the issue of recruiting a post which has become the source of

:14:35. > :14:36.such a fierce political falling out. Argue.

:14:37. > :14:41.The secret search behind closed doors to appoint a new bishop,

:14:42. > :14:48.And the Blue Flag beach blighted by abandoned rotting boats,

:14:49. > :14:59.We urgently need more girls to follow careers in engineering,

:15:00. > :15:01.that's the message tonight from the Welsh Government.

:15:02. > :15:03.Latest figures show just over 100 women studied for an apprenticeship

:15:04. > :15:07.in engineering in Wales, that compares with over 3,500 men.

:15:08. > :15:18.At the Skills Cymru career event at Parc y Scarlets in Llanelli

:15:19. > :15:20.today, thousands of pupils from Carmarthenshire have been

:15:21. > :15:22.learning about the range of careers available,

:15:23. > :15:27.But it seems precious few young women are considering

:15:28. > :15:31.Mair from Llanfyrnach in Pembrokeshire is just

:15:32. > :15:33.16-years-old but she's forging a career in welding and fabrication.

:15:34. > :15:39.After getting her GCSE results in August, she decided

:15:40. > :15:49.that a vocational path would suit her skills Latest figures

:15:50. > :15:55.I'd go for the apprenticeship because it's helping me to save up

:15:56. > :16:00.for a car. It's a good business to be in. You learn new trades. Working

:16:01. > :16:02.with man is good because they look after you. If you are hands-on it's

:16:03. > :16:04.a good job. just 50 women studied

:16:05. > :16:06.for a foundation apprenticeship Compare that with just over 1600 men

:16:07. > :16:13.at foundation level and over The Skills Minister says the Welsh

:16:14. > :16:19.government wants more young people to follow apprenticeships,

:16:20. > :16:22.and role models for young women in engineering

:16:23. > :16:33.are vitally important. What we are trying to do is get the

:16:34. > :16:38.young women to go back into schools and enthuse young women coming

:16:39. > :16:42.behind them. We want to persuade their mothers and grandmothers that

:16:43. > :16:43.it's a good route for women. So role models and ambassadors are

:16:44. > :16:44.important? Absolutely. The Airbus factory in Broughton

:16:45. > :16:49.produces wings for airbus aircraft Just 9% of the engineering

:16:50. > :16:52.and technology workforce Sema is combining study at

:16:53. > :16:55.Swansea University and Coleg Cambria She says a career in engineering

:16:56. > :17:10.wasn't a natural choice. In my culture they push you towards

:17:11. > :17:15.dentistry, pharmacy and medicine. I thought I want to do that, I did my

:17:16. > :17:22.work experience in a pharmacy and I was going on to do work experience

:17:23. > :17:27.in a dentistry. But I couldn't do it to myself. I know those jobs will

:17:28. > :17:31.make you have a good amount of money, and everything that comes

:17:32. > :17:36.with it, but it wasn't what I want to do. So I took the leap and did

:17:37. > :17:36.engineering. This is what I like, this

:17:37. > :17:43.An extra ?500 million was announced in the budget this week to boost

:17:44. > :17:46.The Welsh Government says its already heavily promoting

:17:47. > :17:48.apprenticeships as an alternative to an academic path,

:17:49. > :17:51.with the aim too of getting more women into sectors where they're

:17:52. > :17:54.There are concerns tonight the proceedings of the confidential

:17:55. > :17:57.process to decide the next Bishop of Llandaff may have been leaked.

:17:58. > :18:01.A group which campaigns for equality in the Church that could harm

:18:02. > :18:06.the chances of any LGBT candidate being appointed to the role.

:18:07. > :18:10.It's been reported that a leading gay cleric

:18:11. > :18:12.the Very Rev Jeffrey John narrowly missed out on the appointment.

:18:13. > :18:28.Behind closed doors the appointment of a new bishop is, by tradition, a

:18:29. > :18:34.closely guarded secret until the announcement is made. But when,

:18:35. > :18:39.after three days meeting in of those behind the doors fails to reach

:18:40. > :18:45.agreement speculation began to grow that a leading gay cleric, Jeffrey

:18:46. > :18:49.John, been considered but not appointed. That speculation and the

:18:50. > :18:53.debate it's about about why has caused concern among campaigners for

:18:54. > :18:57.inclusion in the church. About the pressure it might put on bishops who

:18:58. > :19:00.must now make the decision alone and what it could mean for LGBT

:19:01. > :19:06.candidates. What we are concerned about is that

:19:07. > :19:11.as a result of breaches of confidentiality any candidate feels

:19:12. > :19:19.pressure to withdraw their candidacy. Or if any of the bishops

:19:20. > :19:26.themselves feel pressure to exclude any particular candidate. We feel

:19:27. > :19:29.that the church will have failed to rise to that challenge at the very

:19:30. > :19:35.first hurdle. Jeffrey John, who is currently Dean

:19:36. > :19:40.in St Albans, declined to comment today. The church in Wales said any

:19:41. > :19:44.breaching confidentiality in the process of the electoral college

:19:45. > :19:47.following its meeting would not prejudice candidates. Exactly who

:19:48. > :19:53.the candidates were for this role has not been made public. And will

:19:54. > :19:58.not be. But as the process moves forward Neil candidates could be

:19:59. > :20:02.considered. The bishops have been asking people to e-mail in

:20:03. > :20:07.suggestions, they go on retreats next week for three days and I

:20:08. > :20:10.understand this is top of their agenda. Caroline Evans, BBC Wales

:20:11. > :20:12.Caroline Evans, BBC Wales today, slander.

:20:13. > :20:13.Let me take you back to the rugby, Wales facing Ireland

:20:14. > :20:27.The choirs are rehearsing for the game tonight. Not long to go before

:20:28. > :20:34.kick-off. James Hogg and Garin Jenkins are with me. Good evening.

:20:35. > :20:38.Can I start with you, James? A lot of criticism headed towards the

:20:39. > :20:41.Wales camp this week. You know the players well, give us an idea what

:20:42. > :20:47.they are going through since that defeat in Scotland? They've had a

:20:48. > :20:50.lot of flak. There are a lot of experienced players under pressure

:20:51. > :20:54.they haven't experienced in the last few years. Rob Howley has gone with

:20:55. > :20:58.tried and tested, and I'm sure they'll deliver tonight. They have

:20:59. > :21:03.two, really. They are under pressure. He has stuck with the same

:21:04. > :21:09.side, if they don't deliver to make do you foresee changes? I think they

:21:10. > :21:14.will be changes, but I think the boys will get across the line

:21:15. > :21:18.tonight. The camp has been pretty tight since Murrayfield. I think

:21:19. > :21:27.this evening we'll see a big game player, they've had their pride

:21:28. > :21:30.dented for a better word. So I think they'll come out tonight and get

:21:31. > :21:36.across the line against Ireland. It's about the win tonight. Not

:21:37. > :21:40.performance. We need that win. The recent records, Ireland have won

:21:41. > :21:45.five of the last eight matches in the six Nations in Cardiff, do you

:21:46. > :21:49.think that record will continue? We seem to do better in Ireland when

:21:50. > :21:54.we play Ireland and vice versa. We are under pressure but Ireland will

:21:55. > :22:05.come out. They've got more on it in terms of the six Nations but Wales

:22:06. > :22:08.are paying for pride and bad World Cup top eight which is so important.

:22:09. > :22:13.Will that be on their minds, do you think? I wouldn't think so. Tonight

:22:14. > :22:17.is about just winning the game. A subplot tonight, Lions selection is

:22:18. > :22:25.announced next month, our personal battles going on there, Rhys Webb,,

:22:26. > :22:29.Maria, will a focus on that? And international matches always about

:22:30. > :22:34.personal battles. That's the fabric of the game of rugby union. You want

:22:35. > :22:37.to get the better of your opposite number. Hopefully that will

:22:38. > :22:41.culminate in a great team performance and a victory. Six

:22:42. > :22:46.Nations, five Nations, it's about winning. The wind you can do a lot

:22:47. > :22:52.of things in life on the back of a win. Enjoy the game. Thank you. Much

:22:53. > :22:56.more from them on BBC radio Wales tonight, coverage starts live here

:22:57. > :23:00.on BBC One Wales at 7:30pm. A blue flag beach in Ceredigion is

:23:01. > :23:03.being blighted by abandoned boats. Locals in Aberporth claim rotting

:23:04. > :23:06.canoes, surf boards and boats have been left to rot and are littering

:23:07. > :23:09.the popular beach. There are now calls for a permit

:23:10. > :23:12.system to be put in place. It's one of Ceredigion's best

:23:13. > :23:19.beaches, but people in Aberporth claim many of these votes,

:23:20. > :23:22.surfboards and canoes have been left Local councillor Gethin James

:23:23. > :23:31.believes something has to be done to stop the number of vessels

:23:32. > :23:33.being abandoned here. Especially the ones that

:23:34. > :23:37.are obviously not being used, We don't oppose people having

:23:38. > :23:46.things down on the beach, it's all in a controlled manner

:23:47. > :23:49.and we know who owns them, they are kept clean and tidy,

:23:50. > :23:51.there are rules about how But at the moment it's just

:23:52. > :23:57.a mass of stuff thrown, People have called this part

:23:58. > :24:11.of the Beach the boat graveyard, It's unclear who they belong

:24:12. > :24:14.to and how long they have been here. They are now overgrown

:24:15. > :24:16.with grass and brambles. They obviously haven't seen

:24:17. > :24:26.the sea for a while. Muriel keeps her kayak here, she

:24:27. > :24:28.recognises that some of these have been abandoned and would like to see

:24:29. > :24:30.a storage system put in place. It would be a good idea for all

:24:31. > :24:33.of us to have a rethink of it. Mine has been here for the season

:24:34. > :24:37.and it's handy to have it near the beach, rather than having

:24:38. > :24:40.to lug it quite a distance. Aberporth is a blue flag beach,

:24:41. > :24:43.and it's feared if these decaying boats and canoes aren't cleared away

:24:44. > :24:47.it could be harder to retain its status as one of the best

:24:48. > :24:53.beaches in the county. Benaz has the forecast,

:24:54. > :25:05.what have you got for us? What have you got? We have plenty of

:25:06. > :25:05.usable weather through the weekend, dry weather

:25:06. > :25:13.with a bit of rain. Pretty similar picture today, we have a lot of

:25:14. > :25:19.cloud with limited amounts of brightness but was dry. Out and

:25:20. > :25:27.about it will be great tomorrow but at least it is dry. Through tonight,

:25:28. > :25:32.largely dry with mist and fog. A fairly quiet night with a light

:25:33. > :25:37.winds. Cloudy throughout the night and temperatures not dropping much.

:25:38. > :25:41.Around seven Celsius. Tomorrow we have a cold weather front bringing

:25:42. > :25:46.with it a lot of cloud. A little bit of rain later on in the day across

:25:47. > :25:51.Anglesey and Gwynedd. The bulk of the country get away with a dry

:25:52. > :25:57.Saturday. We have mist and fog to deal with, that will lift. Limited

:25:58. > :26:01.brightness from Wrexham to Cardiff, but the majority of the country

:26:02. > :26:08.cloudy with rain in Anglesey later on in the day. Top temperatures 11

:26:09. > :26:12.to 13 Celsius with light winds and variable. Tomorrow a band of more

:26:13. > :26:17.persistent rain making its way in from the West. Low-level cloud, mist

:26:18. > :26:22.and fog. Another mild night with temperatures not dropping too much.

:26:23. > :26:34.At its lowest around eight Celsius. Winds are light and coming from a

:26:35. > :26:37.westerly direction. Fresh air and into the early hours of Sunday

:26:38. > :26:41.morning. Sunday we have this cold friend to deal with. That brings

:26:42. > :26:46.some rain. Behind it, high-pressure. Not looking very nice for the first

:26:47. > :26:51.thing on Sunday. Wet weather, but bad band will clear by the afternoon

:26:52. > :26:56.and we look forward to dry and brighter from the West. A little bit

:26:57. > :26:58.fresher with temperatures getting up to about 11. On Monday, some

:26:59. > :27:07.sunshine, make the most of it, cloudy again on Tuesday. Thank you.

:27:08. > :27:11.The headlines again. A 23-year-old drug addict who crashed his car into

:27:12. > :27:16.a family during a police chase has been sentenced for three-year 12

:27:17. > :27:22.years in prison. He lost control of a stolen car and killed two people.

:27:23. > :27:28.He seriously injured two other children. Over a week after it

:27:29. > :27:33.started firefighters are still tackling a 2010 rubbish fire in a

:27:34. > :27:38.recycling plant at Llandow in the Vale of Glamorgan. Some residents

:27:39. > :27:39.have had to leave home and businesses say it has cost them

:27:40. > :27:39.thousands. I'll have an update

:27:40. > :27:42.for you after the BBC News at Ten. Thank you for watching, have

:27:43. > :27:45.a great weekend. From all of us on the

:27:46. > :27:48.programme, good evening.
