:06:00. > :06:04.daughter, could soon be deported. They said they have to leave the
:06:05. > :06:11.country. So if they are leading the country, where are they going? To go
:06:12. > :06:17.to where? To Iraq? So if they are going to Iraq, they will be
:06:18. > :06:20.homeless. Soon as they had the refuse, the children cannot sleep in
:06:21. > :06:25.the night. The mother, she is always crying. Come a final decision will

:09:22. > :09:24.Aled Scourfield is at the force headquarters in Carmarthen - Aled -
:09:25. > :09:35.That is right. The concerns are raised in a report published today
:09:36. > :09:38.which is essentially an annual health check for police forces in
:09:39. > :09:44.England and Wales and they are assessed on effectiveness, and
:09:45. > :09:47.legitimacy and graded on a performance of Constabulary. Wendy
:09:48. > :09:50.Williams, who is the inspector for Wales and the West, has strongly
:09:51. > :09:54.questioned the performance of Dfed Powys. She says many aspects of its
:09:55. > :09:58.overall performance are a cause for concern and in all three areas the
:09:59. > :10:01.inspectorate says Dfed Powys police requires improvement. South
:10:02. > :10:05.Yorkshire Police is the only other force that requires improvement in
:10:06. > :10:08.all three areas. There is concern about how the force deals with
:10:09. > :10:11.incidents relating to vulnerable people, how it deals with less
:10:12. > :10:14.visible crimes like internet fraud, concerned about how it deals with
:10:15. > :10:18.dental issues of corruption within the force, and Wendy Williams says
:10:19. > :10:22.it needs to improve the way it gets feedback from the police. That is in
:10:23. > :10:26.stark contrast to the warm praise for South Wales Police and Gwent
:10:27. > :10:29.Police and Wendy Williams also says she is satisfied on the whole with
:10:30. > :10:36.the performance of North Wales Police. So how has Dfed Powys police
:10:37. > :10:39.responded to the criticism? Well, earlier I spoke to Darren Davies,
:10:40. > :10:43.who is the new Deputy Chief Constable Hugh at Dfed Powys police.
:10:44. > :10:46.He has been reading the responses do a series of critical reports over
:10:47. > :10:49.the past two years. He says there is a new leadership team in place here

:17:25. > :17:25.scanners to more accurately target cancer cells.
:17:26. > :17:27.The trial's being funded by donations worth three-quarters
:17:28. > :17:29.of a million pounds, by two welsh charities.
:17:30. > :17:40.Our health correspondent Owain Clarke has this exclusive report.
:17:41. > :17:48.The sun is shining. You never know. We could be doing some business. As
:17:49. > :17:53.the land lord of one of Cardiff's most popular pubs, he likes to enjoy
:17:54. > :17:57.life, but a few years ago, he became worried. We were on a cruise, me and
:17:58. > :18:01.my wife, and one morning I just discovered here that there seem to
:18:02. > :18:06.be a lump. Soon after he came back on a was diagnosed with lymphoma, a
:18:07. > :18:08.form of cancer. After two operations, he had radiotherapy,
:18:09. > :18:13.were doctors used powerful x-rays to destroy the cancer cells. We know
:18:14. > :18:17.there is a problem. We know the problem is called cancer. And you
:18:18. > :18:22.know that this is not a question of taking some tablets and it goes
:18:23. > :18:27.away. But I think in my case I managed to come through those six
:18:28. > :18:33.weeks probably better and quicker than expected. But for around 10-20%
:18:34. > :18:38.of patients with head or neck cancer, radiotherapy is
:18:39. > :18:42.unsuccessful. Deep inside the University Hospital of Wales in
:18:43. > :18:47.Cardiff ?1.8 million scanner, which is revolutionising how several types
:18:48. > :18:51.of cancer are detected and treated. This is more sensitive because it is
:18:52. > :18:54.measuring changes in function within the cells themselves. So you can
:18:55. > :18:59.detect cancer in what earlier, you can detect spreads were you can't
:19:00. > :19:07.possibly detect with CT or MIR -- MRI. Before this, patients were made
:19:08. > :19:12.to eat sugar and because the cancer cells consume more of sugar, they
:19:13. > :19:15.show up more clearly. But doctors based in Cardiff and Swansea are
:19:16. > :19:19.trying to detect a new technique of using the scanner to target the
:19:20. > :19:21.specific parts of tumours that appeared to be resisting
:19:22. > :19:25.radiotherapy. It is important to be accurate so that we treat all the
:19:26. > :19:28.tumour cells. If we lead a single tumour cell behind them that
:19:29. > :19:33.potentially can grow into a new cancer. And also we want to spare
:19:34. > :19:40.the normal tissues that sit around the tumour because the more normal
:19:41. > :19:43.tissues we treat the more side effects the patient experiences.
:19:44. > :19:46.According to cancer research Wales, which call funded the study, it is
:19:47. > :19:52.an example of Wales punching above its weight. This research, if
:19:53. > :19:55.successful, can be enrolled for many other different cancer types, such
:19:56. > :19:58.as lung cancer, which is particularly challenging and
:19:59. > :20:01.difficult to treat. Do and they couple years on from his treatment,
