:00:45. > :00:47.drugs, like cannabis, but they can be more potent and have
:00:48. > :00:56.This scene is not unique to Wrexham or indeed Wales.
:00:57. > :00:58.Towns and cities across the UK have had similar
:00:59. > :01:03.A year ago, they were banned by this new law.
:01:04. > :01:05.No longer could you buy new psychoactive substances or
:01:06. > :01:17.But charities say problems with them remain.
:01:18. > :01:22.Even though there was a bit of a lull, in terms of people using
:01:23. > :01:26.these drugs for the first few months since the legislation came in,
:01:27. > :01:29.actually, use has, kind of, started to go up again.
:01:30. > :01:31.And we are starting to see people presenting
:01:32. > :01:35.with quite significant effects and issues associated to the strokes.
:01:36. > :01:41.We are starting to see people coming to
:01:42. > :01:43.our drop-in, but also people being referred
:01:44. > :01:47.wanting support around potential deterrent and use
:01:48. > :01:53.The visible evidence of use of used substances is there for all to see.
:01:54. > :01:55.You know, that wasn't quite as apparent some months ago.
:01:56. > :01:59.I think we need a lot more research, both on the ground and perhaps
:02:00. > :02:01.academically, to see what the effect has been.
:02:02. > :02:04.Illegal for nearly a year, but addiction to these new
:02:05. > :02:06.psychoactive substances appears to be a persistent problem with no
:02:07. > :02:14.21-year-old man has appeared before magistrates charged
:02:15. > :02:17.with attempted murder, after a woman was seriously
:02:18. > :02:20.19-year-old Katrina Evemy is in a critical condition in hospital
