:00:17. > :00:22.Two teenagers are still missing off the Gwynedd coast tonight -

:00:23. > :00:25.more than 24 hours after they got into difficulty in the water.

:00:26. > :00:29.15-year-old Waseem Al-Muhflehi and 14-year-old Yahye Mohamed

:00:30. > :00:31.were swimming at Barmouth beach early yesterday afternoon.

:00:32. > :00:38.Barmouth beach in August in the sunshine is usually packed

:00:39. > :00:41.but only a handful of people going into the water today

:00:42. > :00:46.after two teenage boys went missing in the sea yesterday.

:00:47. > :00:54.locally by the Yemeni Community Association

:00:55. > :00:56.as 15-year-old Waseem Al-Muhflehi and 14-year-old Yahye Mohamed.

:00:57. > :00:58.They were on a day trip from Birmingham which was meant

:00:59. > :01:01.to be a planned fun day but it was short lived.

:01:02. > :01:03.Everybody started to scream and everything, so...

:01:04. > :01:05.We tried to look around and we searched

:01:06. > :01:12.the toilets, we searched everywhere, all the places, try to find them,

:01:13. > :01:22.It's windy here today but the winds yesterday were even stronger.

:01:23. > :01:23.The two teenage boys were in the water

:01:24. > :01:27.One person did see one teenager go underwater and he did

:01:28. > :01:38.try and rescue him but there was little he could do to help.

:01:39. > :01:40.In Barmouth today, there was shock and concern.

:01:41. > :01:41.They haven't been in the water today.

:01:42. > :01:44.It is a concern when the kids go out in the water

:01:45. > :01:48.It's quite scary, really, when they are only about 14-15.

:01:49. > :02:00.Meanwhile, further down the coast a search has been

:02:01. > :02:03.taking place for who was washed off rocks on a beach in Munt yesterday.

:02:04. > :02:08.He'd fallen into the sea after he and another man were cut

:02:09. > :02:10.off by the tide in rough seas and near gale force winds.

:02:11. > :02:13.With the summer holidays well underway, this is the busiest

:02:14. > :02:17.The RNLI in Barmouth has described this as a major operation for them.

:02:18. > :02:25.The number of people identified as victims of modern slavery

:02:26. > :02:28.has increased by nearly 400 percent in just three years,

:02:29. > :02:30.according to a report commissioned by the Welsh Government.

:02:31. > :02:35.The issue was thrown into the spotlight after David

:02:36. > :02:39.Daniel Doran was jailed in 2014, for forcing a vulnerable man to work

:02:40. > :02:46.With 134 cases across Wales last year,

:02:47. > :02:48.it's believed the increase could be down to improvements

:02:49. > :02:53.A mother accused of causing the death of her five-year-old son

:02:54. > :02:58.23-year-old Laura Bright's son, Joseph Smith,

:02:59. > :03:00.died in a three-vehicle crash on Cardiff's Western Avenue

:03:01. > :03:04.Her partner, 22-year-old Dean Collins, denies causing

:03:05. > :03:07.death and serious injury by dangerous driving.

:03:08. > :03:10.He's due to stand trial in December.

:03:11. > :03:13.Ukip members in Wales will vote on whether leader, Nathan Gill,

:03:14. > :03:16.should be allowed to continue as both an Assembly

:03:17. > :03:20.The party's ruling National Executive Committee had threatened

:03:21. > :03:24.Mr Gill with expulsion, if he didn't resign from one

:03:25. > :03:30.Our political reporter, James Williams joins us now.

:03:31. > :03:35.So, James, a bit of a climb down from the NEC?

:03:36. > :03:45.Absolutely. As you said, the party's NEC decided last Monday to give

:03:46. > :03:52.Nathan kill an ultimatum. Stand down from one role or face expulsion. He

:03:53. > :03:58.refused to stand down. Because the deadline passed earlier today,

:03:59. > :04:05.technically, he was expelled from the party for a short period before

:04:06. > :04:12.reinstallation either party in the afternoon. They also decided that it

:04:13. > :04:20.is the party's members who should decide whether he stays as an

:04:21. > :04:29.assembly member and a member of the European assembly. Will he win the

:04:30. > :04:33.membership vote? One of his close allies was relishing the prospect of

:04:34. > :04:41.a membership vote thinking he would win it conclusively. He won a vote

:04:42. > :04:50.regarding assembly candidates back in May by a country mile. Of course,

:04:51. > :04:51.this is a very different issue so some of his detractors are saying it

:04:52. > :04:56.could be a close run thing. A little bit of Welsh sporting

:04:57. > :04:58.history was made last night, as Jazz Carlin became the first

:04:59. > :05:01.Welsh woman to win an Olympic medal in the pool

:05:02. > :05:03.for more than eighty years. The 25-year-old picked up

:05:04. > :05:06.a silver in the 400 metres. After the missing London 2012,

:05:07. > :05:11.due to illness, Carlin won her medal in style,

:05:12. > :05:17.setting a Welsh record in the heats, and breaking it again in the final

:05:18. > :05:19.with a personal best. Obviously, four years ago,

:05:20. > :05:29.I was watching from the sidelines wishing I was part of the Olympics

:05:30. > :05:33.and now I've got a silver medal

:05:34. > :05:35.in my first swim. Elsewhere, Pembrokeshire's

:05:36. > :05:37.Jasmine Joyce is about to compete for a Bronze medal

:05:38. > :05:40.with Team GB's Rugby sevens side. They lost their semifinal

:05:41. > :05:41.against New Zealand and will battle it out

:05:42. > :05:45.against Canada for an Olympic medal. and Swansea City have

:05:46. > :05:49.sold their star striker - He's gone to West Ham

:05:50. > :05:54.for ?20.5 million pounds - who got him on a free

:05:55. > :05:58.transfer 12 months ago. Benny's here -

:05:59. > :06:18.and it's looking promising? summer sunny spells tomorrow but

:06:19. > :06:25.also a few showers. Temperatures 9-13dC. In the countryside getting

:06:26. > :06:29.down to about 11 Celsius. The bulk of the country enjoying starry

:06:30. > :06:35.skies. High pressure is starting to build from the West but we have a

:06:36. > :06:44.weather system sneaking in risking a few showers across the North and

:06:45. > :06:50.East. For most places a sunny start. Brisk winds bringing more cloud as

:06:51. > :06:54.we head into the afternoon. For the rest of the British Isles, a

:06:55. > :07:00.north-westerly breeze pushing showers in. The further south and

:07:01. > :07:06.east you are, it is drier and brighter. In Wales tomorrow

:07:07. > :07:12.afternoon, in the sunshine it will feel pleasantly warm. Highs of

:07:13. > :07:20.around 19 Celsius. Most of us will get away with a dry day. Overnight,

:07:21. > :07:26.showers making progress south and eastwards. Becoming dry for a time.

:07:27. > :07:31.Wednesday is probably the worst day of the week. Patchy rain pushing

:07:32. > :07:39.south and eastwards. Turning lighter. Highs up to 18 Celsius.

:07:40. > :07:45.Towards the end of the week, more in the way of sunshine and fewer

:07:46. > :07:52.showers. There is the potential for something hot next week.

:07:53. > :07:56.We're back with updates in Breakfast from 6:25 tomorrow morning.

:07:57. > :08:01.For now though, from everyone on the late team - good evening.
