:00:58. > :01:01.in the women's individual sprint at the velodrome in Rio.

:01:02. > :01:03.This bring the Welsh total to a record eight medals.

:01:04. > :01:06.It means more Welsh athletes competing for Team GB have won

:01:07. > :01:08.medals at this Olympics than ever before.

:01:09. > :01:21.Becky James pars hopes her gold were dashed in a close finish against

:01:22. > :01:25.Germany's Christina Vogel. She won her second silver medal of the

:01:26. > :01:31.games. Earlier, she beat the Dutch rider in the semifinals. She lost

:01:32. > :01:34.out for gold on Sunday, but this time, the cyclist from Abergavenny

:01:35. > :01:38.was not going to be outdone and rolled her way into the sprint

:01:39. > :01:43.final. It was a dream come true from someone that has overcome illness

:01:44. > :01:47.and injury to compete for Team GB. Already a former double world

:01:48. > :01:50.champion, her silver takes the whole for Welsh athletes to a record

:01:51. > :01:52.eight. And that is likely to 29 tomorrow.

:01:53. > :01:54.Welsh Sailor, Hannah Mills, along with her partner Saskia Clarke,

:01:55. > :01:57.have won enough points to secure gold in the 470 dingy event.

:01:58. > :02:00.They now have a lead of 20 points, which means they can't be caught

:02:01. > :02:04.They only have to finish the race tomorrow to confirm the gold medal.

:02:05. > :02:12.The pair won silver in the same event in London four years ago.

:02:13. > :02:20.Lost for words. Absolutely lost for words. I can't believe it. I still

:02:21. > :02:24.can't believe it. Just tell me, that moment when you realised you had got

:02:25. > :02:28.it. Shock. Complete and utter shock. The emotions just poured out of me.

:02:29. > :02:30.I did not know what to say, I did not know what to do. It was the most

:02:31. > :02:32.bizarre feeling ever. In other news, North Wales Fire

:02:33. > :02:34.and Rescue Service says the blaze in which an elderly couple died this

:02:35. > :02:37.morning was due to Emergency Services were called

:02:38. > :02:40.to the house-fire in Deganwy just A man and a woman were brought out

:02:41. > :02:45.of the property on this private Another woman escaped

:02:46. > :02:50.before fire-fighters arrived. We mobilised appliances

:02:51. > :02:53.from Colwyn Bay. Once they arrived on the scene,

:02:54. > :03:02.we went into the property when Unfortunately we were not

:03:03. > :03:09.in a position to help them. A person has been airlifted

:03:10. > :03:11.to hospital after being rescued from the sea

:03:12. > :03:14.near Porthcawl this afternoon. Coastguards were called

:03:15. > :03:17.to Rest Bay at half past three. The casualty was taken

:03:18. > :03:20.to Morriston Hospital in Swansea. It comes as a safety warning

:03:21. > :03:23.is issued after 13 children were reported missing on Welsh

:03:24. > :03:25.beaches in the past 48 hours. All were found safe and well

:03:26. > :03:27.but coastguards have increased their patrols in case

:03:28. > :03:45.of further emergencies. We have a lot of sandbanks that get

:03:46. > :03:49.wrapped around with water and we have got mud patches, so keep an eye

:03:50. > :03:53.on all of your family. If you have children, you can take them to a

:03:54. > :03:57.life guarded beach. There they have wristbands that you can get with the

:03:58. > :04:00.name of the parents and guardians on and their telephone numbers, so they

:04:01. > :04:03.do become lost, we can contact them through that means.

:04:04. > :04:05.Football and two Welsh teams been in action tonight.

:04:06. > :04:07.In League 2 it was 1-1 between Luton Town and Newport

:04:08. > :04:11.Meanwhile, it was a goal-less finish at home for Wrexham

:04:12. > :04:15.It's been a beautifully sunny day for most today -

:04:16. > :04:22.how's tomorrow looking, Derek?

:04:23. > :04:27.Keep the sun cream handy. There is more beach weather to come tomorrow.

:04:28. > :04:32.More sunshine, but not everywhere. There is some cloud on the way as

:04:33. > :04:37.well. A little change tonight. Stein fine and dry. The sky clear so

:04:38. > :04:40.moonlit skies and temperatures in some rural spots falling below 10

:04:41. > :04:47.Celsius by the end of the night. Tomorrow, plenty of sunshine for

:04:48. > :04:50.much of Wales, but some high cloud invading the sky across

:04:51. > :04:54.Pembrokeshire, with some rain behind the over Ireland. Across the rest of

:04:55. > :04:59.the UK, many places fine and warm tomorrow, plenty of summer sunshine

:05:00. > :05:05.again. Some exceptions, though, cloudier in the south-west and some

:05:06. > :05:08.showers in Cornwall, turning wet across Northern Ireland. 25 Celsius

:05:09. > :05:14.in Hereford. Cooler in Northern Ireland. 19 Celsius in Belfast.

:05:15. > :05:17.Cooler on the east coast with the breeze of the sea." High cloud will

:05:18. > :05:22.turn the sunshine hazy tomorrow afternoon. Bigger cloud in the

:05:23. > :05:28.south-west may mean some men in -- some rain in temperature by evening.

:05:29. > :05:34.Temperatures rising into the low to mid 20s. So for the Pembrokeshire

:05:35. > :05:38.County show tomorrow, cloudier than today, but staying dry and still

:05:39. > :05:41.pleasantly warm around 21 Celsius the hive. Tomorrow evening looks

:05:42. > :05:45.like we have got some rain on the way, and that could be heavy and

:05:46. > :05:49.thundery in places. However, the north Coast and Wrexham could well

:05:50. > :05:55.stay dry. On Thursday, spots of rain will die out. Many places dry on

:05:56. > :06:00.Thursday afternoon. Some cloud, some sunshine, and still reasonably warm,

:06:01. > :06:04.with light breezes. A big change, though, on Friday. Look at this. A

:06:05. > :06:08.deep look approaching Ireland. That means we are all going to see a

:06:09. > :06:13.spell of rain on Friday, followed by brighter showery weather. The wind

:06:14. > :06:17.picking up as well, so proper summer weather at the moment, but by the

:06:18. > :06:19.end of the week I think it will feel more like autumn.

:06:20. > :06:22.And that's all from us on this historic night for the Welsh

:06:23. > :06:23.athletes competing for Team GB in Rio.

:06:24. > :06:26.We'll be back with more reaction from 6.30am tomorrow morning -

:06:27. > :06:32.but until then, thanks for watching, nos da, good night.
