:02:05. > :02:09.will be held in June - a chance to see past stars play
:02:10. > :02:12.in a five-aside tournament on the streets, get close
:02:13. > :02:15.to the trophy in the Fan Zone, a concert's planned too,
:02:16. > :02:18.but organisers haven't decided where in Cardiff the football
:02:19. > :02:23.The women's final will also be held here, two days
:02:24. > :02:27.It's vitally important that everything we do,
:02:28. > :02:30.we're not doing this purely for the privilege of hosting this,
:02:31. > :02:33.we're doing it for the benefit of Welsh football.
:02:34. > :02:36.And my job is to make sure that we take these events
:02:37. > :02:38.and we relaly harness the power of these events to ensure
:02:39. > :02:40.that we achieve our objectives within our strategic plan.
:02:41. > :02:42.Quicker, faster, more efficient than we would do otherwise.
:02:43. > :02:45.And having the women's final will really help us promote,
:02:46. > :02:49.develop and also protect the women's game here in Wales.
:02:50. > :02:52.Cardiff got a taste of hosting a UEFA event
:02:53. > :02:56.when Gareth Bale's Real Madrid won the Super Cup here two years ago.
:02:57. > :02:59.While organisers say the Champion's League final is worth
:03:00. > :03:05.an estimated ?45 million to the economy, others are cautious.
:03:06. > :03:07.I think we expect far too much from these sports events.
:03:08. > :03:10.I mean, there's no evidence that hosting sports events really impact
:03:11. > :03:12.long-term on your economic prospects as a regional city
:03:13. > :03:16.and if you think about it, even if it was 45 million, well,
:03:17. > :03:19.Cardiff economy is probably 15 or 20 billion per annum,
:03:20. > :03:21.so this is very small pebble in a large ocean.
:03:22. > :03:25.We should just really enjoy it for what it is, which is a great
:03:26. > :03:29.The number of fans and dignataries visiting is a real challenge.
:03:30. > :03:34.Up to 200,000 fans are expected to descend on the city next June.
:03:35. > :03:38.But with just 8400 hotel beds, most fully booked already,
:03:39. > :03:42.many fans have been forced to look further afield and book hotels
:03:43. > :03:46.right across south Wales and the south-weset of England.

:03:50. > :03:52.room at this hotel was taken off the market two years ago.

:05:36. > :05:40.The town's lifeboat was launched and police, the ambulance service,
:05:41. > :05:43.air ambulance and the coast guard were called to the scene.
:05:44. > :05:46.The incident happened opposite the town's lifebaot
:05:47. > :05:49.station and the RNLI were there in a matter of minutes.
:05:50. > :05:51.They found a 16 foot vessel empty and soon found two men
:05:52. > :05:56.We recovered one casualty from the water who indicated
:05:57. > :05:59.that the other casualty was slightly further out to sea.

:06:34. > :06:38.Now, eye-witnesses have told me they saw this boat leave the harbour
:06:39. > :06:42.at speed this morning before it was spotted out of control.
:06:43. > :06:45.The RNLI rescued two men and carried out first aid
:06:46. > :06:47.treatment on one of them, but he was later pronounced

:09:16. > :09:19.is in six different locations right across Wales.
:09:20. > :09:23.It's part of a ?4 million campaign to promote tourism here.
:09:24. > :09:26.It's also part of a social media campaign to be encouraged
:09:27. > :09:33.This Epic has already been in four other locations across Wales
:09:34. > :09:36.from Tintern in the east to the mountains of the north,
:09:37. > :09:39.where the Snowdonia Society described it as an "epic fail"
:09:40. > :09:44.Even here in Gower, some have reservations.
:09:45. > :09:46.My reaction was that I thought it was tacky.
:09:47. > :09:52.I still think that although other people obviously don't.
:09:53. > :09:56.And I thought that in its situation near Worms Head,
:09:57. > :10:00.which is an outstanding view of the natural beauty,
:10:01. > :10:06.But it's only there for a short term and it has attracted a lot
:10:07. > :10:12.of interest locally and further afield which is good for Gower.
:10:13. > :10:15.It's all part of a campaign to promote tourism and the government
:10:16. > :10:19.I think it's unfortunate that sometimes people take an alternative
:10:20. > :10:22.view to what this is meant to be, which is a fun,
:10:23. > :10:27.It's something of a conservative and snooty approach that
:10:28. > :10:30.I think some have taken, but at the end of the day,
:10:31. > :10:33.as long as it gets people looking at Wales, as long as it draws
:10:34. > :10:36.attention to the magnificent natural environment that we have here,
:10:37. > :10:39.those epic locations where the sign is, I think it's a positive thing.
:10:40. > :10:42.Back at Worms Head, it's been drawing a crowd today.
:10:43. > :10:44.Families enjoying the sunshine and a chance to pose
:10:45. > :10:51.I think it's very clever and I think it's in a perfect situation.
:10:52. > :10:57.It brings people down to a fantastic place anyway but it just sort
:10:58. > :11:00.of advertises it a bit more for people.
:11:01. > :11:02.By seeing it on there in the landscape as it's
:11:03. > :11:04.there at the moment, it's just spot-on.
