:00:49. > :00:54.21-year-old Zoe Morgan and her boyfriend, 33-year-old Lee Simmons,

:00:55. > :00:59.A man who was known to the couple has been arrested

:01:00. > :01:07.Emergency services were called to the centre of Cardiff just before

:01:08. > :01:10.6am this morning after reports of two bodies outside

:01:11. > :01:15.Police later confirmed they were investigating the deaths

:01:16. > :01:19.of a 33-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman.

:01:20. > :01:22.It's believed they were both stabbed.

:01:23. > :01:25.Police have named the victims as Lee Simmons from the Grangetown

:01:26. > :01:29.area of Cardiff and Zoe Morgan from Llandaff North.

:01:30. > :01:32.They both worked at the Matalan store and had been in

:01:33. > :01:37.Zoe had just finished a fashion course at the University

:01:38. > :01:41.of South Wales, and was a former pupil of Whitchurch high school.

:01:42. > :01:45.Should be remembered with a lot of fondness.

:01:46. > :01:47.Really, a year group with an excellent reputation,

:01:48. > :01:52.not just in the classroom but for being good citizens.

:01:53. > :01:54.That's what you always want as a teacher.

:01:55. > :01:57.You want them to go on and do great things and we have no doubt

:01:58. > :02:00.that she was going to go on to do great things.

:02:01. > :02:04.After the incident police cordons were quickly set up and scenes

:02:05. > :02:07.of crime officers combed the usually busy shopping street for evidence

:02:08. > :02:11.Their attention focused outside Matalan.

:02:12. > :02:13.The area is ringed with CCTV cameras which may have

:02:14. > :02:18.Just after 9am this morning police confirmed they'd

:02:19. > :02:21.arrested a 20-year-old man at Castleton near Newport.

:02:22. > :02:24.He is currently being questioned at Cardiff Bay police station.

:02:25. > :02:27.Throughout the day police have been searching a property in Castleton

:02:28. > :02:30.where the man was arrested less than one hour the incident.

:02:31. > :02:33.They say it doesn't appear to have been a random assault and believe

:02:34. > :02:36.this aspect was known to the victims.

:02:37. > :02:38.They say they are not looking for anyone else in connection

:02:39. > :02:44.Back in the city centre this busiest streets was partially closed

:02:45. > :02:47.along with many shops, for most of morning.

:02:48. > :02:50.This coffee bar which fronts Queen Street was one of the few

:02:51. > :02:53.businesses that was allowed to stay open.

:02:54. > :02:55.But there were few customers and staff were naturally shocked

:02:56. > :03:00.When we came in at about five to six we didn't know anything

:03:01. > :03:04.was going on and then when we put the furniture out about 6:30am,

:03:05. > :03:07.it was all cordened off up there, and there were blue lights

:03:08. > :03:10.The incident caused chaos in the city centre with many shop

:03:11. > :03:14.workers sent home and shop deliveries unable to get through.

:03:15. > :03:22.Well, you could see the blood on Queen Street.

:03:23. > :03:24.Obviously, Queen Street being closed is going to put a huge

:03:25. > :03:27.dampner on things today, but at the end of the day

:03:28. > :03:30.the priority is now to find out what happened.

:03:31. > :03:40.Tonight there are floral tributes to the dead couple outside the store

:03:41. > :03:43.where they'd worked together for just a few short months.

:03:44. > :03:48.The police investigation is continuing.

:03:49. > :03:51.The Conservatives have criticised a new Welsh Government Brexit group

:07:07. > :07:12.The Aneurin Bevan health board has told Natural Resources Wales

:07:13. > :07:15.to exercise caution when considering whether to give

:07:16. > :07:28.Where cold air and cloud is trapped in a valley high warm air above.

:07:29. > :07:30.Officials say it wasn't looked at in the original

:07:31. > :07:35.And their new data shows the plant will cause significant long-term

:07:59. > :08:03.Caerphilly council say air qualitywould have been considered

:08:04. > :08:09.Natural Resources Wales say they'll look at the information before

:08:10. > :08:16.A body has been recovered in the search for a kayaker who's

:08:17. > :08:18.believed to have got into difficulty in a river near

:08:19. > :08:23.The man was reported missing yesterday afternoon

:08:24. > :08:26.after taking to the water at the Aberglaslyn Pass.

:08:27. > :08:29.His family is being supported by North Wales Police.

:08:30. > :08:36.Multiple agencies sprang into action following the call that

:08:37. > :08:41.Divers from the police regional underwater team joined various

:08:42. > :08:44.members of the emergency services to search the river Glaslyn

:08:45. > :08:48.which cuts through a deep valley near Beddgelert.

:08:49. > :08:50.It was dark by the time the body was found last night

:08:51. > :08:53.and the decision was made to postpone the recovery operation.

:08:54. > :08:56.A number of volunteer agencies have been supporting our colleagues

:08:57. > :09:03.We brought in some specialist resources.

:09:04. > :09:07.Due to the conditions of the river and the time and light it wasn't

:09:08. > :09:14.safe to put officers and volunteers into the river.

:09:15. > :09:17.Contingencies were put in place this morning and resulted

:09:18. > :09:23.When activity resumed at around 9am this morning there was a sombre

:09:24. > :09:28.atmosphere as volunteers carried out their grim work hampered

:09:29. > :09:35.Police, fire and mountain rescue teams brought to be

:09:36. > :09:45.Police have paid tribute to all those involved in the operation.

:09:46. > :09:48.They say the coroner has been informed of the death and that

:09:49. > :09:53.a post mortem examination will be carried out.

:09:54. > :09:55.Meanwhile, the force has offered its sympathies to the family

:09:56. > :09:57.who are being supported by trained staff.

:09:58. > :10:00.A charity is warning Wales urgently needs more specialist epilepsy

:10:01. > :10:05.nurses to cater for the needs of around 26,000 patients here.

:10:06. > :10:08.Epilepsy Action Cymru says the Welsh Government was told

:10:09. > :10:14.by a group of experts in 2007 that 88 specialist nurses were needed.

:10:15. > :10:18.A campaign was launched at the Senedd today calling

:10:19. > :10:23.Epilepsy specialist nurses can reduce hospital

:10:24. > :10:29.If they are used properly they have the expertise

:10:30. > :10:33.and knowledge to diagnose, treat and manage epilepsy.

:10:34. > :10:38.People don't have to see a consultant.

:10:39. > :10:40.The Welsh Government says there is no single model

:10:41. > :10:44.for neuroscience services and it's up to individual health boards

:10:45. > :10:48.to allocate specialist nurses in their areas.
