:00:00. > :00:00.our top stories: Former Wales international

:00:00. > :00:00.footballer Ched Evans tells his rape trial his

:00:07. > :00:09.alleged victim was not Where should you pay your tax?

:00:10. > :00:15.Wales or Westminster? And clowning around to scare others,

:00:16. > :00:21.the new craze from America. Tonight a warning from the police

:00:22. > :00:40.after 70 incidents in Wales. The former Wales footballer,

:00:41. > :00:44.Ched Evans, has told a jury that the woman he's accused of raping

:00:45. > :00:48.did not appear too drunk He told Cardiff Crown Court

:00:49. > :00:52.he was "just being childish" when he let himself into a hotel

:00:53. > :00:56.room, where his friend was having Mr Evans said the woman,

:00:57. > :01:01.who was 19 at the time, did consent to the encounter

:01:02. > :01:05.at a Denbighshire hotel in 2011. Media from across the UK,

:01:06. > :01:12.five days of evidence so far. Ched Evans has been standing

:01:13. > :01:16.silently in court throughout as the prosecution

:01:17. > :01:20.accused him of rape. Today it was his turn

:01:21. > :01:23.to give his account a high-profile

:01:24. > :01:33.international footballer. The alleged victim,

:01:34. > :01:35.a 19-year-old woman. The prosecution have argued

:01:36. > :01:40.she was too drunk to be able to consent, but Mr Evans told

:01:41. > :01:43.the jury today it did not "How she was acting.

:01:44. > :01:51.What she said to me." The court previously heard

:01:52. > :01:53.that after a night out in Rhyl the woman had gone back

:01:54. > :01:57.to this hotel with a friend of Mr Evans, fellow footballer

:01:58. > :01:59.Clayton McDonalds. Mr McDonald was acquitted of rape

:02:00. > :02:03.at a previous trial. There is no suggestion he did

:02:04. > :02:05.anything wrong here. The jury were told Mr Evans went

:02:06. > :02:09.into that same hotel room later Asked why he went into the room

:02:10. > :02:21.he said: He referred to his friend

:02:22. > :02:24.Clayton McDonald as Clay. Mr Evans went on to

:02:25. > :02:33.explain that his friend later left that hotel room, telling

:02:34. > :02:37.the jury the situation I was then When he stopped he told the court

:02:38. > :02:44.the woman grabbed the corner of the quilt, huffed

:02:45. > :02:47.and turned away. Ched Evans denies rape,

:02:48. > :02:50.and the trial continues. Paul Heaney, BBC Wales today,

:02:51. > :02:54.Cardiff Crown Court. The Wales Bill, which could give

:02:55. > :02:58.Wales more powers over income tax, fracking and the voting age

:02:59. > :03:00.has been hotly debated So significant is what's proposed,

:03:01. > :03:06.that no fewer than five former Welsh Secretaries have been

:03:07. > :03:09.speaking this evening. The bill was given an unopposed

:03:10. > :03:12.second reading but is certain to face demands for change

:03:13. > :03:16.in its detailed committee stage. In short, my Lords, this bill

:03:17. > :03:22.is fundamentally flawed I ask the government

:03:23. > :03:26.urgently to think again on the matters that

:03:27. > :03:30.I and others have raised. My Lords, I will conclude by saying

:03:31. > :03:33.this bill sets the course for a stable and lasting devolution

:03:34. > :03:37.settlement for Wales. It builds a new Welsh

:03:38. > :03:39.devolution settlement on the solid foundations

:03:40. > :03:43.of a reserve powers model. It is much improved on the draft

:03:44. > :03:46.of a year ago. My Lords, I commend

:03:47. > :03:49.this bill to the House. An undertaker has apologised

:03:50. > :03:54.after the wrong body was taken The error wasn't spotted

:03:55. > :03:59.until the end of the service at St Cadfan Church

:04:00. > :04:00.in Llangadfan on Friday. RG Peate Funeral Directors

:04:01. > :04:01.of Welshpool say The caskets were swapped

:04:02. > :04:11.and the correct body buried. Former Wales International Mark

:04:12. > :04:16.Aizlewood has denied playing a part in an alleged multi-million pounds

:04:17. > :04:19.fraud involving football The 57-year-old, who won 39 caps,

:04:20. > :04:25.pleaded not guilty to fraud by false representation alongside five others

:04:26. > :04:29.including former Cardiff City player Paul Sugrue, who also

:04:30. > :04:33.denied the allegation. The men were all bailed, ahead

:04:34. > :04:39.of a trial in September next year. Welsh police forces say

:04:40. > :04:42.they received more than 70 reports of people dressing up

:04:43. > :04:45.as clowns to deliberately It's a craze that started in America

:04:46. > :04:51.and has made its way to the UK. Gwent Police said they'd had

:04:52. > :04:54.reports of clowns peering through windows and jumping out

:04:55. > :04:57.of trees, and warned people could face arrest for causing

:04:58. > :05:00.harassment or distress. He's supposed to make you laugh,

:05:01. > :05:06.but away from the circus an encounter with a clown can be

:05:07. > :05:09.far from funny. It seems a creepy clown craze

:05:10. > :05:12.is in full swing with many in full costume jumping out

:05:13. > :05:16.on unsuspecting passers-by. It's clown costumes

:05:17. > :05:20.and masks like this that are causing concern

:05:21. > :05:23.in the latest craze to sweep South Wales Police say anyone

:05:24. > :05:28.who intentionally frighten someone with a costume like this could be

:05:29. > :05:31.committing an offence. One man dressed as a clown

:05:32. > :05:35.has been arrested It's claimed people

:05:36. > :05:41.were frightened by this clown in

:05:42. > :05:44.Dwygyfylchi Conwy where a local councillor has

:05:45. > :05:46.issued this stark warning. I'm really extremely worried,

:05:47. > :05:48.because basically they could quite literally scare an elderly

:05:49. > :05:51.person to death. It may seem to be a little bit

:05:52. > :05:55.of fun to you, but it could have If you scared somebody

:05:56. > :05:59.to death you would have that on your conscience for

:06:00. > :06:01.the rest of your life. Many of the clown videos doing

:06:02. > :06:06.the rounds on social media should be taken with a hint of scepticism,

:06:07. > :06:08.but this fancy dress shop in Caerphilly says

:06:09. > :06:11.it is a worrying trend. As a result they've decided not

:06:12. > :06:14.to sell the masks to children. Obviously, a lots of people have

:06:15. > :06:16.phobias about clowns. We can't stop selling

:06:17. > :06:20.them to people. We just hope that they are sensible

:06:21. > :06:29.and not scaring people. All four Welsh police forces

:06:30. > :06:31.in Wales say they have reports of incidents involving clown

:06:32. > :06:33.costumes, North Wales Police have taken

:06:34. > :06:37.to Twitter to warn people not to One Crime Commissioner

:06:38. > :06:42.has spoken out. In reality, if you're jumping out

:06:43. > :06:45.in front of an infirm or vulnerable person,

:06:46. > :06:48.or indeed as some cases, there have been 18 cases

:06:49. > :06:50.across Gwent as of today, That can have, if you're

:06:51. > :06:55.not expecting it, It's very important that people stop

:06:56. > :07:01.doing this or they could Whether you believe this is harmless

:07:02. > :07:07.fun or sinister scare tactics, it's clear the police will take it

:07:08. > :07:10.seriously and it could all end with BT is planning to remove almost half

:07:11. > :07:17.of Wales' phone boxes The company says many

:07:18. > :07:23.of the 1,500 pay phones its closing haven't been used

:07:24. > :07:30.at all in the last year. But some say they're needed

:07:31. > :07:32.in areas where mobile phone An iconic art installation created

:07:33. > :07:37.to mark the centenary of the First World War has opened

:07:38. > :07:40.in Caernarfon Castle. The Weeping Window is a sculpture

:07:41. > :07:45.that was part of the 900,000 hand-made ceramic poppies first

:07:46. > :07:48.displayed at the Let's see what the weather has

:07:49. > :08:03.in store, Behnaz has the forecast. A lot more dry better to look

:08:04. > :08:09.forward to. By the time we get afraid if we could see some rain.

:08:10. > :08:14.Tomorrow is staying dry but it will be breezy. Tonight is a quiet night.

:08:15. > :08:23.We will see clear skies with a light wind. Overnight lows in towns and

:08:24. > :08:28.cities, 3-8dC. Nowhere near as chilly as last night. Tomorrow,

:08:29. > :08:31.high-pressure sitting over Scandinavia and controlling our

:08:32. > :08:35.weather is so easterly winds is blocking any weather system from

:08:36. > :08:42.coming in from the west. Tomorrow morning, there is a chilly start but

:08:43. > :08:46.lovely sunshine. It is a fine morning but late morning will see

:08:47. > :08:49.cloud increasing from the north-east. For the British Isles we

:08:50. > :08:54.have much of the cloud across eastern parts of England and

:08:55. > :09:02.Scotland. The further west you are it is a pariah and writer. A breezy

:09:03. > :09:06.day across the country. Cloud continuing to increase from the

:09:07. > :09:11.north-east. It is thick enough to produce the odd shower but most of

:09:12. > :09:16.us getting away with a dry day. The best of the sunshine across the

:09:17. > :09:20.south and west. The breeze taking the edge off the temperatures.

:09:21. > :09:25.Tomorrow night we will see a bit more cloud around. We could see the

:09:26. > :09:32.odd shower but most of it getting away with another dry night, not as

:09:33. > :09:38.chilly as tonight. The winds easing into the early hours of Wednesday.

:09:39. > :09:41.On Wednesday, a breezy day again. Cloud increasing from the east and

:09:42. > :09:44.it will feel chilly. In the sunshine in the west, not feeling too bad
