:00:45. > :00:47.Jazmin Jones's petition for April's Law has now reached

:00:48. > :00:49.over 100,000 signatures, and will be debated in Parliament.

:00:50. > :00:56.It calls for sex offenders to remain on the register for life.

:00:57. > :01:04.Jazmin's been speaking to our reporter Matt Murray.

:01:05. > :01:06.April Jones' sister Jazmin and her boyfriend Scott have kept

:01:07. > :01:13.Jazmin started last October in a bid to get tougher sentences for people

:01:14. > :01:19.Five years ago, her sister April was murdered by paedophile

:01:20. > :01:21.Mark Bridger after being abducted from near their home.

:01:22. > :01:25.Before April's disappearance her killer was looking

:01:26. > :01:30.Jazmin is now petitioning for April's Law, it calls for sex

:01:31. > :01:33.offenders to remain on the register for life and better policing

:01:34. > :01:43.So he was found with I think over 500 indecent images of children.

:01:44. > :01:47.If the search engine had that policing with them or he had been

:01:48. > :01:51.caught with them, he would have been on the Sex Offenders' Register and

:01:52. > :01:54.when this incident happened, the police could have gone to him

:01:55. > :01:58.first and it could have been a different outcome.

:01:59. > :02:01.You believe that the authorities were aware of this and what was on

:02:02. > :02:04.his computer and what he was searching for, you therefore think

:02:05. > :02:08.your sister could have been alive today?

:02:09. > :02:12.We could have had her back alive or her body back and not had

:02:13. > :02:19.The Home Office said that the UK has some of the

:02:20. > :02:29.toughest powers in the world to deal with sex offenders and those who

:02:30. > :02:31.remain a rest would remain on the register for life.

:02:32. > :02:33.Jazmin was just 16 when her sister was abducted.

:02:34. > :02:35.She has since battled a problem with alcohol for

:02:36. > :02:38.18 months before designing the focus on this campaign and

:02:39. > :02:42.I woke up one morning and thought if I carry on drinking

:02:43. > :02:45.I could end up killing myself, I just could not kill

:02:46. > :02:51.It would not be fair on your family and did you think what would your

:02:52. > :02:54.She would have been very, very disappointed

:02:55. > :02:56.and that's another thing that kicked me into it.

:02:57. > :03:02.Everyone was like, what would your sister think?

:03:03. > :03:04.Five years ago, this town was rocked by the horrific

:03:05. > :03:05.events surrounding April Jones' disappearance.

:03:06. > :03:07.Her family are pleased this petition will they be

:03:08. > :03:16.Westminster but realise there is a long way to go before

:03:17. > :03:18.be debated in Westminster but realise there is

:03:19. > :03:21.they will know whether the idea of April's Law

:03:22. > :03:25.Even if we managed to save one life one child,

:03:26. > :03:27.it will have done its job, it will have done more

:03:28. > :03:32.For me, it could save another sibling.

:03:36. > :03:39.There was regularly chaos outside a school in Bridgend county

:03:40. > :03:42.where a boy was killed by a minibus, an inquest has heard.

:03:43. > :03:46.It was told 15-year-old Ashley Talbot was running

:03:47. > :03:48.for his bus home, he didn't use use a pedestrian crossing,

:03:49. > :03:51.when a vehicle driven by his teacher, Christopher Brooks,

:03:52. > :03:56.collided with him at Maesteg Comprehensive in December 2014.

:03:57. > :04:06.A man accused of murdering his girlfriend in their Cardiff flat has

:04:07. > :04:09.told a jury he didn't mean to cause her serious harm.

:04:10. > :04:12.Jordan Matthews admits manslaughter, but denies the murder of She-She Bee

:04:13. > :04:18.He told the court he threw her against a door frame

:04:19. > :04:19.following an argument, and punched her, but

:04:20. > :04:25.A woman's body has been found on a beach on Anglesey.

:04:26. > :04:32.Emergency services were called to Newry Beach on Sunday night.

:04:33. > :04:34.Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious.

:04:35. > :04:37.Officers believe the woman lived locally, but her body is yet to be

:04:38. > :04:45.Police, fire and ambulance services are under the same roof for the very

:04:46. > :04:49.The change sees the creation of Abertillery Emergency Services

:04:50. > :04:50.Station in the Gwent Police Force Area.

:04:51. > :04:53.The aim, reducing costs and providing better service.

:04:54. > :04:56.And it could lead to more shared facilities in future.

:04:57. > :05:07.Three blue lights all under one roof.

:05:32. > :05:34.We do joint exercises with them at the station,

:05:35. > :05:37.so when we got out on the road it just works really well.

:05:38. > :05:41.Gwent Police has said it is easier to receive and

:05:42. > :05:43.share intelligence from their colleagues in the Ambulance

:05:44. > :05:45.or Fire Service just up the corridor from them.

:05:46. > :05:47.It cuts out the bureaucratic processes for us

:05:48. > :05:50.which sometimes you have to go through and trying to get a meeting

:05:51. > :05:52.can take some time, so to be able to speak

:05:53. > :05:56.to someone, they share the canteen facility as well so I can have a cup

:05:57. > :05:58.of tea with someone, often when you get

:05:59. > :06:03.Police community support officers are based here as well, the eyes and

:06:04. > :06:06.ears of the operation on patrol in all weathers.

:06:07. > :06:11.Helping with some long-standing local issues.

:06:12. > :06:14.Very small streets, doubled parked, so they will use their resources

:06:15. > :06:18.to remove the double parking for us for access for firefighters,

:06:19. > :06:22.which would not have happened if they were not present.

:06:23. > :06:25.That is a massive thing for us to get to the scene

:06:32. > :06:37.To identify people who could be at risk from a variety of different

:06:38. > :06:40.vulnerabilities and to work together to resolve those risks, to work

:06:41. > :06:45.Back in Abertillery, it's frontline staff,

:06:46. > :06:47.not just managers, sharing ideas around the table, each server

:06:48. > :06:49.suggesting how best to improve the response to arson,

:06:50. > :06:51.anti-social behaviour and other very local issues.

:06:52. > :07:03.perhaps a more common sight in the future.
