:00:18. > :00:18.Welcome to Wales Today. Our headlines tonight:

:00:19. > :00:20.The house near Carmarthen searched after the London terror attacks

:00:21. > :00:22.belongs to the mother of the man responsible.

:00:23. > :00:24.and a blow for Wales' world cup hopes tonight.

:00:25. > :00:31.A draw with Ireland and Bale and Taylor out of the next game.

:00:32. > :00:35.It's emerged that a house near Carmarthen searched

:00:36. > :00:38.after the London Terror attacks belongs to the mother

:00:39. > :00:45.Police say the search is now over and the mother and stepfather

:00:46. > :00:47.of Khalid Masood are not being treated as suspects.

:00:48. > :00:53.Earlier this evening, a candlelit vigil was held

:00:54. > :00:55.outside the Senedd, to remember those who died.

:00:56. > :01:05.Officers have been guarding the property of Janet

:01:06. > :01:08.and Philip Ajoa in Trelech since the search by the Wales

:01:09. > :01:11.counterterrorism unit, alongside Dyfed-Powys Police.

:01:12. > :01:13.It is understood specialist officers went to the rural

:01:14. > :01:16.farmhouse in the early hours of yesterday morning.

:01:17. > :01:21.There were also raids in London and Birmingham.

:01:22. > :01:25.I would like to appeal specifically to the public,

:01:26. > :01:27.we remain keen to hear from anyone...

:01:28. > :01:38.Anybody who understands who his associates were,

:01:39. > :01:40.anyone who can provide information about the places

:01:41. > :01:44.It is believed that Janet Ajao is the mother of Khaled Masood,

:01:45. > :01:47.born as Adrian Russell Elms, later Adrian Russell Ajoa, the man

:01:48. > :01:51.responsible for the terrorist attack in Westminster on Wednesday

:01:52. > :01:55.afternoon, which killed five people and 50 people injured.

:01:56. > :01:58.Janet and Philip Ajoa have lived at this property on the outskirts

:01:59. > :02:03.We have been told that they moved to the area from Tunbridge Wells

:02:04. > :02:06.and were private people who lived a quiet life here.

:02:07. > :02:09.It is understood Janet kept a rare breed of sheep

:02:10. > :02:13.We have been told that Philip Ajoa is being treated for cancer.

:02:14. > :02:16.Local people have told us they weren't in contact

:02:17. > :02:19.with their son and he had not been seen in the area.

:02:20. > :02:20.Officers from Dyfed-Powys Police have been at

:02:21. > :02:25.this isolated property all night.

:02:26. > :02:28.They say that the search has now been completed and the occupants

:02:29. > :02:35.They also say they are receiving the appropriate support.

:02:36. > :02:37.We were initially made aware of the situation

:02:38. > :02:42.late yesterday afternoon, that the Metropolitan Police

:02:43. > :02:44.were investigating somewhere in Carmarthenshire.

:02:45. > :02:47.However, little did we know then that it was right on our doorsteps.

:02:48. > :02:51.We found out late last night that it was just actually outside

:02:52. > :02:52.the village of Trelech where the investigation

:02:53. > :03:01.At first it was a great shock, but as the day has gone on today,

:03:02. > :03:04.I think there is a great feeling of sympathy amongst

:03:05. > :03:05.the neighbourhood and the surrounding area

:03:06. > :03:13.Dyfed-Powys Police have emphasised that there is no threat to the local

:03:14. > :03:19.area and nobody has been arrested following the search.

:03:20. > :03:24.The man who killed Cerys Yemm at the Sirhowy Arms

:03:25. > :03:25.in Argoed, in 2014 had months earlier,

:03:26. > :03:28.allegedly sent letters from prison threatening to kill people,

:03:29. > :03:32.A police officer told the court, the letters gave him serious

:03:33. > :03:34.concern for the mental wellbeing of Matthew Williams,

:03:35. > :03:37.and were sent to the Crown Prosecution Service.

:03:38. > :03:40.But it was decided not to prosecute because there wasn't enough

:03:41. > :03:46.evidence to prove the letters were from him.

:03:47. > :03:48.The North Wales businesswoman, Stephanie Booth,

:03:49. > :03:53.was crushed to death by a tractor she was using to cut grass at her

:03:54. > :03:57.home in Denbighshire, last year, an inquest has heard.

:03:58. > :04:00.The 70-year-old was well known for the TV series

:04:01. > :04:02."Hotel Stephanie", as well as an unsuccessful bid

:04:03. > :04:06.The coroner recorded a conclusion of accidental death.

:04:07. > :04:09.Labour will find it tough to avoid losses in May's local elections,

:04:10. > :04:17.The party now leads 12 out of Wales' 22 councils.

:04:18. > :04:20.Speaking during a visit to the Deeside Industrial estate

:04:21. > :04:21.ahead of Welsh Labour's conference in Llandudno,

:04:22. > :04:23.he said it would not be sensible to pretend

:04:24. > :04:29.things are good at Westminster for the party.

:04:30. > :04:30.It is difficult in Westminster,

:04:31. > :04:35.but this is not an election in Westminster.

:04:36. > :04:38.This is Welsh Labour in local elections for the people of Wales.

:04:39. > :04:42.And we will be saying, you look at what is being delivered

:04:43. > :04:44.on your doorstep you will see good delivery by Labour councils

:04:45. > :04:52.So you need to vote in more Labour councillors.

:04:53. > :04:56.increasingly remote of qualifying for the World Cup look

:04:57. > :04:58.after a goalless draw against the Republic of Ireland.

:04:59. > :05:00.It was a fourth successive draw of the campaign

:05:01. > :05:15.We have ground to make up on the leaders and Wales needed a win at

:05:16. > :05:22.the Aviva Stadium. Defeat against the Irish would be unthinkable. I am

:05:23. > :05:27.very optimistic, to one, I think. It will bell like last year, 2-0, we

:05:28. > :05:34.will win. At home in the Aviva Stadium, we are not going to lose.

:05:35. > :05:38.The goalkeepers were not really tested in the match. Gareth Bale,

:05:39. > :05:43.booed by the home crowd, did not get into gear. Neil Taylor failed to

:05:44. > :05:47.control its course. Nothing to excite the 3000 travelling fans.

:05:48. > :05:52.Some of the challenges were uncompromising. Glenn Whelan seem to

:05:53. > :05:56.use his elbow on Joe Root Allen. Team-mates at Stoke, no love lost

:05:57. > :06:03.here. In the second half, there was more urgency from Wales. And after

:06:04. > :06:09.taking out John O'Shea whilst trying to score, Gareth Bale was booked. A

:06:10. > :06:14.second yellow card in this campaign means he will miss the match in

:06:15. > :06:18.Serbia, in June. And moments later Neil Taylor was sent off with the

:06:19. > :06:22.Ireland captain Seamus Coleman seemingly in real pain. With a

:06:23. > :06:27.one-man advantage Ireland were in top and came close to getting the

:06:28. > :06:32.opening goal. Wales climb on and it ended goalless. They made it

:06:33. > :06:37.difficult for us, I think. In the second half we played better and we

:06:38. > :06:43.had a lot more chances. Obviously we have the sending-off, but the boys

:06:44. > :06:50.played very hard and be played the last 20 with ten men and the point

:06:51. > :06:54.is good for them. At 11 against 11 you have got the chance. It was a

:06:55. > :06:58.tough place to come tonight. The crowd got right behind them. And

:06:59. > :07:02.when we went down to ten men, we really had to dig in. I think we did

:07:03. > :07:08.that. And it was a good point for us. A frustrating night for Wales.

:07:09. > :07:12.They have not closed the gap on the group leaders. With Serbia beating

:07:13. > :07:17.Georgia tonight they now top the group. Wales had to Belgrade in

:07:18. > :07:19.June, but a tough task made more difficult as Gareth Bale will miss

:07:20. > :07:23.that game, because of suspension. Rugby and in the Pro 12 -

:07:24. > :07:25.a convincing win for the Scarlets at home to

:07:26. > :07:27.to Edinburgh tonight. Two tries from Rhys Patchell helped

:07:28. > :07:30.them to a 26-10 victory. Not such a good night

:07:31. > :07:32.for the Dragons. The weekend weather forecast

:07:33. > :07:48.now - here's Derek. If you enjoyed today's Sunshine,

:07:49. > :07:51.there's plenty more fine weather and sunshine to come over

:07:52. > :07:53.the weekend, But for gardeners, watch

:07:54. > :08:09.out for Jack Frost. It'll be quite cold, particularly in

:08:10. > :08:17.mid Wales and North Wales, with some frost and some mist and fog forming.

:08:18. > :08:20.Tomorrow morning looking drive. That fog will gradually lift and

:08:21. > :08:26.disappear leaving blue sky and spring sunshine. Across the rest of

:08:27. > :08:30.the UK, a similar story. Fog patches in England will disappear. Many

:08:31. > :08:36.areas bright and sunny. The exception, the far northern

:08:37. > :08:41.Scotland. There, with a little rain in Shetland. Light winds and breezy

:08:42. > :08:46.in the south. The top temperature around 15 Celsius. Cooler on the

:08:47. > :08:50.east coast at around nine Celsius in Cromer. In Wales tomorrow fine and

:08:51. > :08:56.sunny, with a beautiful afternoon. Warmer than today as well. We could

:08:57. > :09:04.see 15 Celsius in Porthmadog. Still breezy in the south. Fine and dry in

:09:05. > :09:08.the evening, the sky clear, so it will turn quite cold with frost

:09:09. > :09:12.likely in parts of mid Wales and North Wales. And on Sunday more dry

:09:13. > :09:16.weather, sunny morning, with cloud spreading from the east during the

:09:17. > :09:22.afternoon. Top temperature around 14, 15 Celsius and an east the

:09:23. > :09:25.north-easterly breeze. High pressure keeping things dry over the weekend.

:09:26. > :09:31.Dry on Monday as well and into Tuesday. Beyond that, signs of a

:09:32. > :09:35.change, becoming more unsettled with some rain and showers and a wind is

:09:36. > :09:38.picking up, but with selfless of westerly winds next week

:09:39. > :09:44.temperatures will remain above average. Before I go, don't forget,

:09:45. > :09:53.the clocks go forward one hour on Saturday night. There was more on

:09:54. > :09:57.all those stories our website. Thank you for watching. Have a great

:09:58. > :09:59.weekend. From all of us on the programme, good night.
