:00:45. > :00:46.Party activists met this afternoon to discuss a letter referring

:00:47. > :00:49.to concerns about what they say is Michelle Brown's

:00:50. > :00:54.She declined an invitation to attend the meeting,

:00:55. > :00:56.and her spokesman described it as "petty infighting".

:00:57. > :01:04.Our political reporter James Williams has the story.

:01:05. > :01:08.She's only been in the job for less than a year but, to date,

:01:09. > :01:12.Michelle Brown has regularly hit the headlines.

:01:13. > :01:16.It is a cause for concern for these Ukip members and supporters.

:01:17. > :01:19.At their meeting today, they passed a vote of no-confidence

:01:20. > :01:22.in the Assembly Member for North Wales.

:01:23. > :01:26.There'll also be a wider vote of members in about a month's time

:01:27. > :01:30.to see if they share the concerns raised at the meeting.

:01:31. > :01:37.Bringing the party into disrepute by various actions she's done

:01:38. > :01:44.I mean, she's only been there since May and the list

:01:45. > :01:46.of things she's done is horrendous really.

:01:47. > :01:48.She's not engaging with the population across North Wales.

:01:49. > :01:51.In a letter sent to Michelle Brown ahead of today's meeting, local

:01:52. > :01:57.It refers to claims by a Cardiff hotel that she smoked

:01:58. > :02:03.Something likely to bring the party into disrepute, they say.

:02:04. > :02:10.It also mentions an e-mail exchange discussing how an advert for a job

:02:11. > :02:13.in her office could be changed to help her brother get

:02:14. > :02:16.Not behaviour becoming of an upstanding member

:02:17. > :02:22.Michelle Brown said she acted with complete propriety.

:02:23. > :02:26.There's concern that she leased this shop to act as her regional office,

:02:27. > :02:30.but it has never been opened, despite the Welsh Assembly having

:02:31. > :02:35.paid over ?2,000 for the rent up to March of this year.

:02:36. > :02:38.And the allegation that, "We have not seen you attend one

:02:39. > :02:44.Michelle Brown was invited in this letter to today's meeting so that

:02:45. > :02:46.she'd be given what members say was a fair opportunity

:02:47. > :02:53.She declined via e-mail this morning, while her spokesman said

:02:54. > :03:01.that this letter represents nothing more than petty infighting.

:03:02. > :03:04.But with the Ukip AM now facing a vote of confidence amongst party

:03:05. > :03:07.members in North Wales, it also represents another headache

:03:08. > :03:12.The party entered the chamber as a group of seven after last

:03:13. > :03:15.May's Assembly election, but they're already down to six

:03:16. > :03:19.following Nathan Gill's decision to sit as an independent

:03:20. > :03:20.because of clashes with Neil Hamilton, who remained

:03:21. > :03:28.This meeting has no constitutional significance at all.

:03:29. > :03:31.It was organised largely by people who are not members of Ukip

:03:32. > :03:33.and it is a culmination of a long and bitter campaign,

:03:34. > :03:39.personal campaign against her, and she has my full support.

:03:40. > :03:41.Comforting words for Michelle Brown, who couldn't attend the party

:03:42. > :03:45.meeting because she was working in the Senedd this afternoon.

:04:04. > :04:06.the inquest into the deaths of a young woman and her killer

:04:07. > :04:08.at the Sirhowy Arms hotel in Argoed near Blackwood

:04:09. > :04:11.that there was possible weakness in the way information on former

:04:12. > :04:14.Matthew Williams killed Cerys Yemm in 2014, two weeks

:04:15. > :04:18.From Newport Coroner's Court, Caroline Evans.

:04:19. > :04:21.Today, the inquest into the deaths of Cerys Yemm and Matthew Williams

:04:22. > :04:25.at the Sirhowy Arms in Argoed heard from Caerphilly Council,

:04:26. > :04:27.the authority which housed Matthew Williams when he was

:04:28. > :04:35.At that time, the court was told, a prison leaver was considered

:04:36. > :04:40.So when Matthew Williams turned up at his local authority,

:04:41. > :04:46.But the housing officer called to give evidence

:04:47. > :04:51.when someone was released not on licence, but having

:04:52. > :04:53.served their entire sentence, the probation service would not

:04:54. > :04:55.automatically share information with the council, and the council

:04:56. > :04:57.wouldn't share information on the background of

:04:58. > :05:06.offenders with the B where individuals were placed.

:05:07. > :05:08.22-year-old Cerys Yemm was killed by Matthew Williams just two weeks

:05:09. > :05:18.He died shortly after being tasered by police at the scene.

:05:19. > :05:21.Since that time, the court was told there has been a significant change

:05:22. > :05:23.in the way information about possible risk is shared,

:05:24. > :05:28.brought about by the new Wales Housing Act.

:05:29. > :05:29.A jury has now heard all the evidence and

:05:30. > :05:41.Tributes have been paid to five people who died after a helicopter

:05:42. > :05:42.crashed on a mountainside in southern Snowdonia.

:05:43. > :05:44.Donald and Sharon Burke were two of those killed

:05:45. > :05:49.Their daughter said the family had changed in the space of a day.

:05:50. > :05:51.Kevin and Ruth and Barry Burke also died in the crash.

:05:52. > :05:58.Their bodies were recovered on Friday.
