:00:24. > :00:31.Last month, concerns were raised after police footage from Wrexham

:00:32. > :00:33.and other cities across the UK showed people seemingly under

:00:34. > :00:39.the influence of the drugs. Paul Heaney reports.

:00:40. > :00:43.Slumped and unresponsive, men in Wrexham earlier this year,

:00:44. > :00:47.apparently under the influence of new psychoactive substances.

:00:48. > :00:51.They are designed to imitate traditional

:00:52. > :00:53.drugs, like cannabis, but they can be more potent and have

:00:54. > :01:03.This scene is not unique to Wrexham or indeed Wales.

:01:04. > :01:06.Towns and cities across the UK have had similar issues.

:01:07. > :01:09.A year ago, they were banned by this new law.

:01:10. > :01:11.No longer could you buy new psychoactive substances or

:01:12. > :01:18.But charities say problems with them remain.

:01:19. > :01:21.Even though there was a bit of a lull, in terms of people using

:01:22. > :01:25.these drugs for the first few months since the legislation came in,

:01:26. > :01:29.actually, use has, kind of, started to go up again.

:01:30. > :01:38.And we are starting to see people presenting

:01:39. > :01:40.with quite significant effects and issues associated to these drugs.

:01:41. > :01:42.We are starting to see people coming to

:01:43. > :01:44.our drop-in, but also people being referred

:01:45. > :01:48.wanting support around potential deterrent and use

:01:49. > :01:54.The visible evidence of use of used substances is there for all to see.

:01:55. > :01:59.You know, that wasn't quite as apparent some months ago.

:02:00. > :02:04.I think we need a lot more research, both on the ground and perhaps

:02:05. > :02:08.academically, to see what the effect has been.

:02:09. > :02:10.Illegal for nearly a year, but addiction to these new

:02:11. > :02:15.psychoactive substances appears to be a persistent problem with no

:02:16. > :02:23.A businessman arrested in India in connection with the murder

:02:24. > :02:25.of a Cardiff teenager is on the run after fleeing police custody.

:02:26. > :02:30.Mohammed Ali Edge was arrested as part of the investigation

:02:31. > :02:34.into the death of Amir Siddiqi seven years ago.

:02:35. > :02:38.Two men, Ben Hope and Jason Richards, were jailed for murder.

:02:39. > :02:42.Mr Edge escaped police last week through a bathroom window

:02:43. > :02:47.A 21-year-old man has appeared before magistrates charged

:02:48. > :02:50.with attempted murder, after a woman was seriously

:02:51. > :02:55.19-year-old Katrina Evemy is in a critical

:02:56. > :02:58.condition in hospital after the incident on Thursday.

:02:59. > :03:01.Dylan Hywel Harries has been remanded in custody.

:03:02. > :03:07.He'll appear at Swansea Crown Court next month.

:03:08. > :03:09.Police and coastguard searches have been taking place

:03:10. > :03:12.for a 90-year-old man, who went missing after

:03:13. > :03:16.taking his boat out in Gwbert, near Cardigan.

:03:19. > :03:25.Officers have again asked for anyone with photos and video taken along

:03:26. > :03:29.the coast near Cardigan at the time to come forward.

:04:29. > :04:31.we can see a touch of frost forming, especially in sheltered areas.

:04:32. > :04:34.Overnight lows getting down to about one Celsius.

:04:35. > :04:37.Tomorrow, high pressure is in charge of our weather,

:04:38. > :04:39.blocking any weather fronts from coming in.

:04:40. > :04:41.So first thing tomorrow morning, yes, it's a chilly start

:04:42. > :04:45.to our morning, but we do have some sunshine to look forward to.

:04:46. > :04:50.Through the day, the cloud will start to increase

:04:51. > :04:53.from the west, so by the time get into the afternoon,

:04:54. > :04:58.For the rest of the British Isles, yes, we do have a few showers

:04:59. > :05:00.across northern parts of Scotland and Northern Ireland,

:05:01. > :05:02.and just a few running across the south-east.

:05:03. > :05:08.In between, a lot of dry and bright weather to look forward to.

:05:09. > :05:10.Tomorrow afternoon here in Wales, we can look forward

:05:11. > :05:12.to variable amounts of cloud, but also some sunshine.

:05:13. > :05:14.The temperatures getting up to about 12 Celsius.

:05:15. > :05:17.Through tomorrow night, we do it all again.

:05:18. > :05:20.Clear skies, light winds, the perfect recipe for some

:05:21. > :05:23.frost to form, especially in sheltered areas.

:05:24. > :05:27.Overnight lows getting down to about two Celsius.

:05:28. > :05:30.By the time we head into Wednesday, again a chilly start, some sunshine,

:05:31. > :05:34.cloud increasing from the north through the day.

:05:35. > :05:37.Again, by the afternoon, the temperatures getting up

:05:38. > :05:40.The winds remaining light and coming from a westerly direction.

:05:41. > :05:43.So a lot of dry weather to look forward to, but it
