0:01:26 > 0:01:30No one told me they were coming out so to see them in front of me

0:01:58 > 0:02:01say he'll take it in his stride.

0:02:01 > 0:02:05Obviously he's nervous and excited but I definitely think he's ready.

0:02:05 > 0:02:08It's been four years of hard work and it is all built

0:02:08 > 0:02:10to this final crescendo.

0:02:10 > 0:02:13Aled Davies will be hoping for a repeat of scenes like these

0:02:13 > 0:02:14when he competes tomorrow.

0:02:14 > 0:02:20For now though it's Rachel Morris's chance to savour her success.

0:02:20 > 0:02:23The deadline runs out today for a father to return his daughter

0:02:23 > 0:02:24to Wales from Saudi Arabia.

0:02:24 > 0:02:2722-year-old Amina Al-Jeffery - who was born and brought up

0:02:27 > 0:02:30in Swansea - claims she's being held against her will by

0:02:30 > 0:02:31her father Mohammed.

0:02:31 > 0:02:32He denies the claim.

0:02:32 > 0:02:35Last month the High Court ruled she's being "deprived

0:02:35 > 0:02:40of her liberty" and must be allowed to return.

0:02:40 > 0:02:42The Severn Tunnel will close for six weeks from tomorrow to prepare

0:02:42 > 0:02:44the line for electric trains.

0:02:44 > 0:02:47This'll add an extra 40 minutes to journeys from south Wales

0:02:47 > 0:02:49to London and the south west.

0:02:49 > 0:02:51But journey times are expected to be reduced,

0:02:51 > 0:02:55once electrification is complete.

0:02:55 > 0:02:57Around 200 people have protested against plans to resume quarrying

0:02:57 > 0:03:00between two villages on the outskirts of Cardiff.

0:03:00 > 0:03:03Creigiau Quarry was mothballed in 2002, but the construction

0:03:03 > 0:03:07company tarmac is hoping to expand it and restart operations.

0:03:07 > 0:03:12Rebecca John reports.

0:03:12 > 0:03:15Spelling out "no" to the resumption of quarrying near their homes,

0:03:15 > 0:03:18around 200 people from the neighbouring villages

0:03:18 > 0:03:22of Creigiau and Pentyrch met on the recreation ground next

0:03:22 > 0:03:26to the quarry to capture their opposition using a drone.

0:03:26 > 0:03:29If the plans are approved to reopen and expand the quarry,

0:03:29 > 0:03:34residents fear it will cause noise and air pollution as well as causing

0:03:34 > 0:03:37gridlock on the roads.

0:03:37 > 0:03:39I've actually lived through the quarry when it was open

0:03:39 > 0:03:45before and so I know how bad it is, the blasting, cracks in the walls,

0:03:45 > 0:03:48things coming off people's shelves and things like that.

0:03:48 > 0:03:52Going back to 2002, the road structures and everything has

0:03:52 > 0:03:55changed immensely since then and we just haven't got the roads

0:03:55 > 0:04:01to cope with 146 lorries a day.

0:04:01 > 0:04:04Quarrying stopped here in 2002, but Tarmac says it's

0:04:04 > 0:04:09an important source of limestone for the construction industry.

0:04:09 > 0:04:12The company says there will be passing places on roads and it's

0:04:12 > 0:04:17agreed to restrictions on quarry traffic travelling through Creigiau.

0:04:17 > 0:04:20Residents are also concerned that the planned expansion

0:04:20 > 0:04:25of the quarry would bring operations close to Pentyrch primary school.

0:04:25 > 0:04:28At the moment they are looking to increase the volume that's coming

0:04:28 > 0:04:31out of it which would result in about 146 lorries using rural

0:04:31 > 0:04:33roads and we fear for the safety of the rural communities,

0:04:33 > 0:04:36the children, the schools.

0:04:36 > 0:04:39It's not suitable or sustainable.

0:04:39 > 0:04:41Cardiff Council says it would be inappropriate to comment at this

0:04:41 > 0:04:43stage but that all representations will be carefully considered.

0:04:43 > 0:04:52A decision is expected next month.

0:04:52 > 0:04:54Wales football supporters who sell on priority tickets

0:04:54 > 0:04:58for the World Cup qualifier in Austria could be suspended from

0:04:58 > 0:05:00the Football Association of Wales.

0:05:00 > 0:05:02That's the warning from the Football Supporters'

0:05:02 > 0:05:04Federation Cymru.

0:05:04 > 0:05:07The FAW would not confirm that fans could face suspension,

0:05:07 > 0:05:14but says it's aware of the concerns, and will monitor the situation.

0:05:14 > 0:05:15Swansea City managed a 2-2 draw against Chelsea

0:05:15 > 0:05:17at the Liberty Stadium.

0:05:17 > 0:05:18The Swans trailed 1-0 at half-time.

0:05:18 > 0:05:21But Gylfi Sigurdsson's penalty and Leroy Fer's goal two minutes

0:05:21 > 0:05:29later turned the game on its head.

0:05:29 > 0:05:31Rugby - and the Ospreys beat Connacht by 32-11 last

0:05:31 > 0:05:33night in the Pro 12.

0:05:33 > 0:05:35They now have two bonus-point wins from two matches

0:05:35 > 0:05:37and go top of the table.

0:05:37 > 0:05:39Time now for the weather forecast now.

0:05:39 > 0:05:42It'll be a mainly dry night, and not as chilly as last night.

0:05:42 > 0:05:44A dry but breezy day tomorrow, with increasing amounts of cloud

0:05:44 > 0:05:46through the morning.

0:05:46 > 0:05:48But there'll be some hazy sunshine and feeling warm.
