:01:01. > :01:04.stamp duty on the part of the property in England.
:01:05. > :01:09.We will have to produce seperate valuations for each of those pieces
:01:10. > :01:18.It is an extra additional cost for somebody that is selling.
:01:19. > :01:21.The Assembly's finance committee has found that are more
:01:22. > :01:25.than 1,000 properties straddling the border.
:01:26. > :01:30.That might sound little curious because there is plenty of
:01:31. > :01:34.evidence of where the border is, but the Land Registry that keeps a copy
:01:35. > :01:38.of every land transaction in Wales and England has not needed to plot
:01:39. > :01:42.Therefore, its digital maps don't include the border.
:01:43. > :01:45.There is one year and two months left to sort this out.
:01:46. > :01:49.Not only sort it out, have the IT stress tested and in place
:01:50. > :01:55.If it's not, it is going to be a right mess.
:01:56. > :01:56.The Welsh Government says it is working with
:01:57. > :01:59.the Land Registry to identify all the properties which could be
:02:00. > :02:02.affected and work is underway to make sure the border
:02:03. > :02:08.The Land Registry told us this is a complex issue but it is
