0:00:15 > 0:00:16Good evening.

0:00:16 > 0:00:19Labour and Plaid Cymru have agreed on new plans for how they believe

0:00:19 > 0:00:21Wales and the UK should exit the European Union.

0:00:21 > 0:00:24First Minister Carwyn Jones and Plaid leader Leanne Wood say

0:00:24 > 0:00:29immigration controls should be tightened, but the UK

0:00:29 > 0:00:33should still participate in the tariff-free single market.

0:00:33 > 0:00:36More now from our political correspondent, Arwyn Jones.

0:00:41 > 0:00:43The two leaders have been in talks for months about how Wales

0:00:43 > 0:00:45and the UK should go about Brexit.

0:00:45 > 0:00:47The Scottish and Northern Irish governments have already

0:00:47 > 0:00:49outlined their proposals, now we get a flavour

0:00:49 > 0:00:51of the view from Cardiff Bay.

0:00:51 > 0:00:58In a Sunday Times article they say their plans highlight...

0:00:58 > 0:01:04But they want a system which...

0:01:09 > 0:01:12Some are warning that clarity is needed as soon as possible

0:01:12 > 0:01:14to avoid jobs being lost to the continent.

0:01:14 > 0:01:17Already we're seeing the haemorrhaging of jobs

0:01:17 > 0:01:22from the City of London, and they provide 12%

0:01:22 > 0:01:23of the income of this country.

0:01:23 > 0:01:25That is going to impact on jobs...

0:01:25 > 0:01:27Not just jobs, but our services, hospitals, schools, and people need

0:01:27 > 0:01:32to understand this is not just about jobs, it is about their

0:01:32 > 0:01:36services and what will happen in Wales in the future.

0:01:36 > 0:01:41Keeping membership of the single market, the tariff-free trading

0:01:41 > 0:01:43agreement within the countries of the EU and some others,

0:01:43 > 0:01:46is seen as being important to Wales in particular.

0:01:46 > 0:01:50This chart shows just how much of our exports, over two thirds,

0:01:50 > 0:01:55goes to the EU compared with the rest of the world.

0:01:55 > 0:01:58Carwyn Jones and Leanne Wood have said immigration from the EU is not

0:01:58 > 0:02:00a big problem in Wales, despite representing

0:02:00 > 0:02:02constituencies which voted strongly to leave the EU.

0:02:02 > 0:02:07Opponents say they are trying to rerun the referendum campaign.

0:02:07 > 0:02:10What is important for us is we are able to trade

0:02:10 > 0:02:13and we can get access, but we get access on a

0:02:13 > 0:02:16level playing field.

0:02:16 > 0:02:20The important thing people told us in the referendum was that

0:02:20 > 0:02:23sovereignty needed to come back to the UK and decisions be

0:02:23 > 0:02:24made here in the UK.

0:02:24 > 0:02:29If you accept that, you can move forward, but sadly,

0:02:29 > 0:02:31Eluned and other Labour politicians, and Plaid in particular, are unable

0:02:31 > 0:02:33to come to terms with that.

0:02:33 > 0:02:36After last week we have a clearer idea of what leading

0:02:36 > 0:02:40politicians want from Brexit, but agreeing on those plans seems

0:02:40 > 0:02:44as unlikely as ever.

0:02:45 > 0:02:47Meanwhile, Labour peer Lord Peter Hain says he will not be

0:02:47 > 0:02:49voting to trigger Article 50, because he says it

0:02:49 > 0:02:51will damage Welsh jobs.

0:02:51 > 0:02:54The former Welsh Secretary, who now sits in the House of Lords,

0:02:54 > 0:02:57said he acknowledged the referendum result and respected it,

0:02:57 > 0:03:00but said people were not expecting a deal that would be damaging

0:03:00 > 0:03:03to the most vulnerable.

0:03:03 > 0:03:06Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn said all his MPs would be told to approve

0:03:06 > 0:03:09the triggering of Article 50, the process by which

0:03:09 > 0:03:13the UK leaves the EU.

0:03:13 > 0:03:16I am concerned about the damage to Wales, to our jobs

0:03:16 > 0:03:19and to our most-vulnerable citizens.

0:03:19 > 0:03:22That is why in all conscience and principle I cannot vote

0:03:22 > 0:03:27to trigger Article 50 on the basis of this extreme right-wing agenda

0:03:27 > 0:03:31the Prime Minister has promised.

0:03:31 > 0:03:33The Labour Party is united on that.

0:03:33 > 0:03:36People may take a different tactical position at this stage,

0:03:36 > 0:03:43but we are united in opposing this hard, right-wing Brexit.

0:03:44 > 0:03:46A mother and her eight-year-old son have gone missing

0:03:46 > 0:03:48from their home on Anglesey.

0:03:48 > 0:03:50The family of 36-year-old Elen Jones and Lewis Rhys,

0:03:50 > 0:03:54who live in Menai Bridge, have not seen them since Tuesday.

0:03:54 > 0:03:56North Wales Police believe they are travelling

0:03:56 > 0:03:59in a gold-coloured Citroen Zara, and have appealed for

0:04:01 > 0:04:05sightings of the pair.

0:04:05 > 0:04:08Police in Cheshire say a man was arrested during yesterday's

0:04:08 > 0:04:10Chester versus Wrexham football match in relation to

0:04:10 > 0:04:11a racially-aggravated public order offence.

0:04:11 > 0:04:13It is believed to relate to comments directed at Wrexham

0:04:13 > 0:04:15striker Ntumba Massanka during the match yesterday.

0:04:15 > 0:04:18It was the only arrest around the game, which was subject

0:04:18 > 0:04:23to tighter policing as a so-called "bubble match".

0:04:24 > 0:04:32Rugby, and in the quarterfinals of the European Challenge Cup,

0:04:32 > 0:04:36the Ospreys will be at home to French club Stade Francais,

0:04:36 > 0:04:38while the Cardiff Blues travel to Gloucester.

0:04:38 > 0:04:41The ties will be played between March 30th and April 2nd.

0:04:42 > 0:04:44Let's take a quick look at tomorrow's weather...

0:04:44 > 0:04:47And fog in the east will be slow to clear through the morning.

0:04:47 > 0:04:49Elsewhere, it'll remain dry with some bright,

0:04:49 > 0:04:51sunny spells developing, but it will feel chilly in the east.

0:04:51 > 0:04:55A top temperature of 10 Celsius.

0:04:56 > 0:04:57That's Wales Today.

0:04:57 > 0:04:59We're back with updates in Breakfast from 6:25am.

0:04:59 > 0:05:02But from all of us on the weekend team, thanks for watching, bye-bye.

0:05:08 > 0:05:08Good
