:00:09. > :00:14.I know it was not the same everywhere, but we have just had

:00:14. > :00:18.our hottest UK day since July 2006. 33 degrees in parts of eastern

:00:18. > :00:23.England, and we were not alone. France is still experiencing

:00:23. > :00:26.temperatures hotter than they were in June 2003. The orange colours

:00:26. > :00:33.continue to last overnight. But they become confined to the south-

:00:33. > :00:36.east as fresher weather pushes in overnight. We set off a few

:00:36. > :00:41.thunderstorms across parts of the Midlands pushing into northern

:00:41. > :00:46.England. But during the night, they will become confined to easternmost

:00:46. > :00:50.parts. Most areas will stay dry, but some could see heavy downpours

:00:50. > :00:55.across the south-east, where it will remain humid. Much cooler to

:00:55. > :00:58.the north and west, where we will see cooler skies tomorrow. Where we

:00:58. > :01:03.have had heat and humidity, tomorrow will feel a good deal

:01:03. > :01:08.fresher. Still humidity in the south-east corner. Still the threat

:01:08. > :01:12.of thunderstorms here. Away from that, a bright start. One or two

:01:12. > :01:16.showers here and there. We could see showers developing Northern

:01:16. > :01:20.Ireland after a dry and sunny morning. Any showers that form

:01:20. > :01:24.across Scotland will be few and far between. A much drier and brighter

:01:24. > :01:28.day for many. It will feel warmer than it did in the east. Northern

:01:28. > :01:32.parts of England should stay dry and bright. Further south, more

:01:32. > :01:36.cloud around. We could see a drop in temperature of 10 to 15 degrees

:01:36. > :01:42.across parts of the Midlands. One or two showers, predominantly

:01:42. > :01:46.cloudy. We should stay dry in Wales and the south-west. If you get

:01:46. > :01:56.yourself out of the breeze and into the sunshine, it should still feel

:01:56. > :01:57.

:01:57. > :02:02.warm. Parts of Essex, Kent could see one or two thunderstorms. But

:02:02. > :02:08.that humid air gets pushed into the Continent as we go into Wednesday.

:02:08. > :02:13.It is a fairly weak a ridge of high pressure at this stage. Sunshine

:02:13. > :02:17.between the showers and there will be a lot of dry weather. We stick

:02:17. > :02:23.with temperatures around where they should be at this time of year into
