:00:09. > :00:12.Good evening. I cannot promise it will last long, but for many of us

:00:12. > :00:17.summer makes a welcome return tomorrow with hazy sunshine across

:00:17. > :00:21.much of the UK. Crucially, much drier than today. You may have seen

:00:21. > :00:27.pictures of the flooding across Hampshire and Dorset. These are

:00:27. > :00:31.some of the statistics. Many places saw an inch and a half of rain. In

:00:31. > :00:34.the Isle of Portland, pretty much what we would expect from a month

:00:34. > :00:38.fell in 12 hours. Those bright colours were the heavy rain, which

:00:38. > :00:42.moved through London causing problems at the cricket. That has

:00:42. > :00:46.gone, but still heavy downpours across eastern Scotland and north-

:00:46. > :00:53.east England. That will take a time to fizzle out towards dawn. For

:00:53. > :00:59.most of us, a dry and clear night, but chilly. It might well turn

:00:59. > :01:03.misty in places, too. For most of us, a fine start to Friday. Sunny

:01:03. > :01:08.spells across western and southern Scotland. A cracking start across

:01:08. > :01:12.northern England. Yes, a bit chilly, but overall it should be blue skies

:01:12. > :01:18.on Friday morning across East Anglia, the Midlands, and much

:01:18. > :01:21.brighter across southern counties of England. Just eight or nine

:01:21. > :01:25.degrees across the south-west of England, but a bit of sun

:01:25. > :01:29.temperatures and also help to clear the mist and fog patches. Sunny

:01:29. > :01:36.skies to start the day across most of Wales. The main exception to the

:01:37. > :01:40.rule will be Northern Ireland, where it will be quite cloudy. Some

:01:40. > :01:46.outbreaks of rain possible in the West throughout the day. But for

:01:46. > :01:50.many, it will be a fine day. Rather hazy sunshine in western areas. It

:01:50. > :01:55.will probably feel warmer, too, particularly across parts of the

:01:55. > :02:01.South where it was just 13 degrees today. Tomorrow may you reach the

:02:01. > :02:04.low twenties. Much more chance of cricket at the Oval. The high

:02:05. > :02:08.pressure is ousted over the weekend and this weather front will cause

:02:08. > :02:11.some headaches. Some uncertainty about it, but at the moment on

:02:11. > :02:16.Saturday it could bring rain to northern England, parts of the

:02:16. > :02:20.Midlands, Wales and the south-west. Brighter further north. It could be

:02:20. > :02:23.quite warm across parts of the south-east, if the sun shines. But
