:00:10. > :00:14.Good evening. A dry and fairly quiet start tonight across many

:00:14. > :00:17.areas but for some that's about to change, particularly across

:00:17. > :00:21.southern parts of the country, it's going to turn wet and for some

:00:21. > :00:24.thundery as well. The reason is a low pressure system across northern

:00:24. > :00:28.France, the thunder storms have been brewing spreading northwards.

:00:28. > :00:32.You will notice across northern areas a different picture, we have

:00:32. > :00:36.the cloud, broken in places, a cool night but it's those storms that

:00:36. > :00:40.cause us concern. The wet weather will get as far as the Midlands but

:00:40. > :00:44.it's the south-east where we could see the most torrential of the

:00:44. > :00:53.downpours, potential for problems for the the journey to work in the

:00:53. > :01:03.morning, a lot of surface water around.

:01:03. > :01:03.

:01:04. > :01:06.Still a lot of surface water, and even in East Anglia and the south-

:01:06. > :01:11.east, and to the north of the Midlands it's a different picture.

:01:11. > :01:13.We start the day drier and brighter, a little on the cool side for

:01:13. > :01:18.northern England and Scotland but one or two showers around. Most

:01:18. > :01:22.will see a few glimpses of sunshine. For Northern Ireland a quiet start

:01:22. > :01:26.with the cloud breaking in places to allow sunnier moments and it

:01:26. > :01:30.should stay largely dry for many. Brightness to the north-west of

:01:30. > :01:39.Wales but to the south-east we could see rain in Cardiff and as

:01:39. > :01:43.far west as Devon. The main area of rain through the

:01:43. > :01:48.day will start to become confined to eastern areas. The rain gets out

:01:48. > :01:53.of the way in the morning but it's persistent rain through Midlands

:01:53. > :01:56.will limit temperatures. Warming up if you get sunshine in the south-

:01:56. > :01:59.east, although that will be limited. Brighter to the west and north. A

:01:59. > :02:02.few showers in Scotland and Northern Ireland, most will be dry.

:02:03. > :02:07.Tomorrow the rain gets out of the way from the east and we cast our

:02:07. > :02:14.eyes to the west for the next band of thundery rain. It's been driven

:02:14. > :02:17.in by this area of low pressure with us for the week. The wet
