:00:09. > :00:14.This time yesterday, John Hammond was warning us that we were about

:00:14. > :00:19.to be put through the mill by the weather. Unfortunately, the weather

:00:19. > :00:24.lived up to all expectations and forecasts, as some of these

:00:24. > :00:29.pictures indicate. Just a flavour of what we had to endure. It was

:00:29. > :00:38.Scotland that bore the brunt of the most damaging and destructive

:00:38. > :00:42.conditions, wins over 100 mph. -- wind. It was not just Scotland

:00:42. > :00:46.taking a battering it, but parts of Northern Ireland and northern

:01:39. > :01:48.Scotland, Northern Ireland, North West England. Sleet and wet snow to

:01:48. > :01:53.lower levels. Further south, it is a dry start. Sunshine, but it is

:01:53. > :02:01.cold. The wind will continue to ease. Through the day, the

:02:01. > :02:05.weakening band of rain, sleet and hail snow moves out. To the north,

:02:05. > :02:14.sunshine. Still the age -- still the stone showers in north-east
