:00:10. > :00:14.Good evening. As we saw during the main news, the first spell of wild

:00:14. > :00:19.weather this week is definitely upon us, but it won't be the last.

:00:19. > :00:23.More stormy weather to come, heavy rain and strong wind, particularly

:00:23. > :00:29.at the end of the week. Let's deal with tonight first of all, because

:00:29. > :00:33.a big swirl of cloud providing rain right across the country and its

:00:33. > :00:38.accompanied by strong gusty wind. Probably at their liveliest on the

:00:38. > :00:43.south coast, 60 mph. Maybe more around the coast on the south-east

:00:43. > :00:49.of England. Turning trier overnight but also colder with showers coming

:00:49. > :00:54.in which turns to snow in western Scotland in Northern Ireland and

:00:54. > :00:58.northern England, as temperatures drop to three degrees. Tuesday, a

:00:58. > :01:04.windy day. The rain lingers in the south-east. Sunshine following

:01:04. > :01:07.behind but also following a whole raft of showers turn increasingly

:01:07. > :01:11.wintery particularly in western Scotland, Northern Ireland and

:01:11. > :01:16.parts of northern England but even in the south, there could be a bit

:01:16. > :01:20.of sleet and snow over the hills. Certainly across the Midlands, and

:01:21. > :01:25.Wales. There could be sleet and snow mixed into their showers and a

:01:25. > :01:28.covering across the Pennines by the end of the day. Over the hills and

:01:28. > :01:31.mountains of northern Ireland and western Scotland, there will be

:01:32. > :01:36.snow. Even at low levels, they could be covering by the end of the

:01:36. > :01:43.day. The biggest cause of concern, though, a strengthening wind. The

:01:43. > :01:46.blustery days, but in the evening, the wind whips up with 70 miles an

:01:46. > :01:51.hour in Northern Ireland and Scotland transferring to northern

:01:51. > :01:57.England, accompanied by wintery weather. During Wednesday, very

:01:57. > :02:00.windy, not quite as strong. Another day of sunny spells and showers,

:02:00. > :02:04.wintery on the hills, and wet weather in the south-west later in

:02:04. > :02:09.the day. That is from this rather feeble looking weather front but

:02:09. > :02:14.following on behind, another storm, and this one could be vicious. A

:02:14. > :02:17.deeper period of low pressure. We are very confident those isobars
