:00:12. > :00:16.Good evening. If you're watching last night, I was expecting

:00:16. > :00:20.uncertainty about the precise nature of the weather coming in our

:00:20. > :00:24.direction. We haven't narrowed it down completely, but we are getting

:00:24. > :00:32.there. A storm is brewing in the Atlantic, and it is heading in our

:00:32. > :00:36.direction. But there will be some heavy and squally showers for now.

:00:36. > :00:41.Gusts of 70 mph coming through the English Channel, and some of the

:00:41. > :00:46.showers will be quite heavy and thundery. Some will progress across

:00:46. > :00:56.Wales, through the Midlands and into East Anglia. Temperatures not

:00:56. > :00:56.

:00:56. > :01:02.far above freezing, and we could be seeing ice on road surfaces. It

:01:02. > :01:07.starts from the in part of Scotland, and that could -- foggy, and that

:01:07. > :01:12.could linger into the day. In Northern Ireland, some showers

:01:12. > :01:22.knocking about, and a brief respite for Wales tomorrow after a very

:01:22. > :01:23.

:01:23. > :01:27.showery night. Through the day, for many of us, not too bad, the calm

:01:27. > :01:33.before the storm, you might say. Disbanded showers could move up

:01:33. > :01:41.from the south-west. But on either side, some lengthy dry and bright

:01:41. > :01:48.spells. A chilly one, temperatures still struggling around five, six,

:01:48. > :01:53.seven degrees. Things do go downhill very quickly across the

:01:53. > :01:56.south-west, turning increasingly wet and windy across many central

:01:56. > :02:02.and southern areas, and white across parts of Wales and the

:02:02. > :02:06.Midlands. The risk of significant snowfall here, the worse of the

:02:06. > :02:10.wind staying the other side of the Channel. This mixture of rain and

:02:10. > :02:16.snow will take its time to clear away from central and eastern areas
