:00:14. > :00:18.This time last year it was all that frost, snow and ice, but this year

:00:18. > :00:22.it looks a bit more benign and more friendly to travellers, thanks

:00:22. > :00:26.chiefly to the temperatures been higher. Tonight, it is free of

:00:26. > :00:31.frost, quite cloudy, rain across the north-west of England and North

:00:31. > :00:34.West Scotland. Foremost, a dry day and we will keep the mild weather

:00:34. > :00:39.going and perhaps a bit more in the way of sunshine compared to today.

:00:39. > :00:44.We should get some breaks developing the cloud as parts of

:00:44. > :00:47.central and eastern England cease and sunshine. North East and West

:00:47. > :00:53.and Scotland will see outbreaks of rain. It will stay Craig across the

:00:53. > :00:57.west of Wales with drizzly rain at times -- grey. Along Devon and

:00:57. > :01:02.Cornwall, things might cheer up. Certainly across parts of south-

:01:02. > :01:06.east England and East Anglia we will get breaks in the cloud and

:01:06. > :01:10.temperatures could get up to 12 or 13 or even 14. Some breaks in the

:01:10. > :01:15.cloud, quite grey across Cumbria and may be brightness in the east

:01:15. > :01:19.of Northern Ireland. North-east Scotland should feel warm but it

:01:19. > :01:23.will state rate in western Scotland. The rain will pep up tomorrow and

:01:23. > :01:26.it will spread widely across Scotland and Northern Ireland

:01:27. > :01:29.tomorrow and then the band of rain will continue to push south through

:01:29. > :01:34.Friday and as it sweeps across England and Wales, some of the rain

:01:34. > :01:37.could be on the heavy side. As skies brightened further north it

:01:37. > :01:42.will be a few scattered showers, but most notably the temperatures

:01:42. > :01:46.will start to drop off once more, back to single figures. That is

:01:46. > :01:52.because the cold front provided the rain is sweeping away the mild air

:01:52. > :01:57.so temporarily, a cold air fixed returns. They could be a frost on

:01:57. > :02:01.Christmas Eve but through the Christmas weekend the yellow and

:02:01. > :02:05.orange colours return as the milder air spreads in from the Atlantic.

:02:05. > :02:09.So by Christmas Day, quite widely, temperatures at double figures. A

:02:09. > :02:13.bright and breezy weekend across the southern half of the UK.

:02:13. > :02:17.Further north, turning windy and for some it could get wet on

:02:17. > :02:22.Christmas Day, particularly in parts of western Scotland. With
