:00:12. > :00:17.Our great British summer delivered yet more rain today particularly in

:00:17. > :00:21.central Scotland. 50 mm, two inches of rain fell and that led to

:00:22. > :00:26.flooding around Perth, for example. There are still a couple of flood

:00:26. > :00:31.warnings in Tayside. Further south we had heavy, thundery rain. The

:00:31. > :00:36.racing had to be abandoned and there was a funnel cloud reported

:00:36. > :00:40.in Suffolk. This zone of downpours stretched across Wales, the

:00:40. > :00:45.Midlands and East Anglia. To the north the rain is slipping slowly

:00:45. > :00:52.southwards. All the work would be due to yet another area of low

:00:52. > :00:55.pressure. -- the rain. The rain clears away from Scotland and moves

:00:55. > :01:01.into northern England, turning colder in Scotland. Still quite

:01:01. > :01:05.warm to the south. Tomorrow start cloudy with brain across northern

:01:05. > :01:10.England slipping into Wales and the Midlands. It becomes lighter and

:01:10. > :01:13.more patchy, turning showery with the main focus of the show was on

:01:13. > :01:17.the south-east of England. They will be showers in Northern Ireland

:01:17. > :01:20.and across Scotland although it will be much drier. Not really any

:01:20. > :01:24.warmer though because although the winds or a lighter, the wind is

:01:24. > :01:27.still coming in from a northern direction. Fewer lighter showers

:01:27. > :01:30.across northern England and although we will see showers we

:01:30. > :01:34.will not have the downpours we have at the moment. The south-west of

:01:34. > :01:36.England improving, but we will see a lot of showers in the afternoon

:01:36. > :01:41.for the south-east possibly thundery. Likely to affect the

:01:41. > :01:45.cricket. For the golfers we could start with early rain but that

:01:45. > :01:47.should clear away and then some showers through Thursday and Friday,

:01:48. > :01:52.probably drawing and Fine on Saturday. The winds should be light

:01:52. > :01:55.as well. They will be some show us around on Saturday and most of them

:01:55. > :02:00.should be across central and eastern England, mostly sharp in

:02:00. > :02:04.the afternoon. Still disappointing temperatures for this time of year.

:02:04. > :02:08.Into the weekend high pressure is starting to build. Saturday looks

:02:08. > :02:11.decent but then on Sunday the high get squeezed to the south, low-

:02:12. > :02:16.pressure swings in freeing some wet, windy weather and a change across

:02:16. > :02:20.the northern half of the UK. For more than areas Saturday a good day,

:02:20. > :02:23.some sunshine, Sunday the winds pick up and we get some rain
