:00:09. > :00:14.Good evening. A few days ago we record the highest temperatures of

:00:14. > :00:20.the summer so far. Seems like a distant memory now, doesn't it?

:00:20. > :00:25.Another scorcher today in Europe. Italy, Hungary and Serbia are still

:00:25. > :00:30.on red alert, dangerously hot weather here. It's not going to

:00:30. > :00:34.return to our shores, though. We are looking out west for however. A

:00:34. > :00:39.large lump of cloud, no pressure, and it is set to dominate our

:00:39. > :00:43.weather for several days to come. It is drifting inexorably towards

:00:44. > :00:47.us. A header that, a quiet night. Still some very sharp shadows

:00:47. > :00:53.across the North of Scotland in particular. The odd shower

:00:53. > :01:00.elsewhere. Unbroken cloud and it will turn to a fresh old night in

:01:00. > :01:03.rural spots. 13-14. Not a bad start to the day for some of us,

:01:03. > :01:07.particularly in the east. Morning sunshine here but the trend will be

:01:07. > :01:14.for things to cloud up from the West would showery outbreaks of

:01:15. > :01:20.rain. By contrast, further east, across England, certain parts of

:01:20. > :01:23.East Anglia and the south-east, not a bad day. Mostly dry and bright.

:01:23. > :01:29.Then, a cloudy his own through the south-west England, Wales, the

:01:29. > :01:33.Midlands, northern England, South western Scotland with one or two

:01:33. > :01:36.sharp showers. Brightness hanging on in the far north-east of

:01:36. > :01:42.Scotland. Abetted day in the northern isles after today but for

:01:43. > :01:47.Northern Ireland, it will be properly wetter. Wet and cool and

:01:47. > :01:51.breezy. Outbreaks of rain will spill across other parts of the UK

:01:51. > :01:55.tomorrow night and into Friday. Sharp bursts are turning up

:01:55. > :02:01.everywhere especially in Wales and western England together with a

:02:01. > :02:04.gusty wind. The feeling quite cool out there. 17-18 degrees typically.

:02:05. > :02:08.The low pressure will, by this stage, be on our doorstep and as we

:02:08. > :02:12.go through this weekend, it will saunter its way across the UK

:02:12. > :02:18.revolving around that low-pressure, some of the rain quite heavy and

:02:18. > :02:22.sundry. And some pretty gusty wind. It does not feel like August. To
