:00:08. > :00:13.ambitions. From all of us here, Good evening, we have seen spells

:00:13. > :00:19.of very wet and windy weather, sweeping across the UK today. Not

:00:19. > :00:22.down yet either. Let me introduce you to the culprit, and area of low

:00:22. > :00:26.pressure we will stick with until the end of this week. I don't think

:00:26. > :00:29.it will look like this through Thursday and Friday. It is

:00:29. > :00:33.weakening so we will lose some of the strong wind. We still have

:00:33. > :00:36.bands of rain round that low centre. There will be more heavy rain in

:00:36. > :00:40.southern Scotland and Northern Ireland overnight tonight, and now

:00:40. > :00:43.on our radar you can see heavier rain pushing into the south. That

:00:43. > :00:47.will particularly affect central and eastern areas of England

:00:47. > :00:50.through the small hours of Thursday and may result in some localised

:00:50. > :00:54.flooding. The strong wind to the south-west, and affecting Wales

:00:54. > :00:59.could mean coastal flooding thanks to high tides here and with more

:00:59. > :01:04.rain for Dumfries and Galloway, and particularly Antrim and Down local

:01:04. > :01:08.flooding is possible here. After all of that, you may be glad to

:01:08. > :01:11.hear tomorrow promises a quieter day. Lighter wind and rain are

:01:11. > :01:16.eeing off. Not before we have seen heavy downpours to the north of the

:01:16. > :01:20.UK, and that front in the east, well, still continues, to hug our

:01:20. > :01:23.eastern coasts. Overall, though, a much better day for Scotland, some

:01:23. > :01:27.cloud round, yes, still quite cool, temperatures just about making

:01:27. > :01:31.double figures but much drier. Still heavy showers, possibly for

:01:31. > :01:34.Northern Ireland. But I think we will see late sunshine for northern

:01:34. > :01:38.England and Wales and the south- west after some showers through the

:01:38. > :01:42.morning. Still a few sharper showers possible for the Midland,

:01:43. > :01:51.East Anglia and the south-east, and some more persistent rain, possibly

:01:51. > :01:56.on the eastern coast into the likes of Kent and Essex. In fact you can

:01:56. > :02:01.just about see how the front wraps round to the north of the UK, so

:02:01. > :02:04.there will be more showers in northern Scotland on Friday too.

:02:04. > :02:07.The chance of more rain to the east on Friday as well. Hopefully that

:02:07. > :02:12.front will continue to clear through into the North Sea. Overall

:02:12. > :02:16.for Friday, though, not a bad day, a lot of dry weather to come and

:02:16. > :02:19.decent sunny spells. Top temperatures round 13 or 14. And
