:00:09. > :00:14.Good evening. Some increasingly cold weather on the way for the UK

:00:14. > :00:19.through the weekend and into next week. Not just the cold causing us

:00:19. > :00:23.problems, but through Saturday evening in two Sunday ice will be a

:00:23. > :00:29.big issue, and then on Monday a risk of disruption due to snow.

:00:29. > :00:33.Outside at the moment, patchy Frost developing across the east of the

:00:33. > :00:39.UK with clear spells. Maybe a pocket of mist and fog confined to

:00:39. > :00:43.the hills by the end of the night. A few wintry showers across eastern

:00:43. > :00:48.Scotland and the north-east of England. Further west, the map is

:00:48. > :00:51.green. More cloud, meaning we should be largely free of frost as

:00:51. > :00:56.we go into Saturday. A lot of cloud for Northern Ireland and some

:00:56. > :01:00.drizzly rain. A pretty grey day in prospect. Drizzly rain across

:01:00. > :01:04.western Scotland, maybe some sunshine in the far north but in

:01:04. > :01:09.the east, the threat of wintry showers continues down to lower

:01:09. > :01:12.levels. And some will brush into the north-east of England. Some

:01:12. > :01:16.early sunshine is possible in the east across Lincolnshire and East

:01:16. > :01:21.Anglia, but back under the cloud as we move into the Wales and the

:01:21. > :01:25.south-west there will be outbreaks of rain and some white is mixed in,

:01:25. > :01:29.but that is likely across higher levels, like the Brecon Beacons and

:01:29. > :01:34.a similar story across parts of the Midlands. Maybe some sleet in with

:01:34. > :01:39.the rain. The rain will be that the issue through Saturday for because

:01:39. > :01:44.we could see a lot of rain in a short space of time, and 30 mm is

:01:44. > :01:49.possible, in excess of an inch for some southern counties. Later in

:01:49. > :01:53.the day, we will see the colder air mixing him and that is potentially

:01:53. > :01:57.where we could have some rather more wintry themed whether as we go

:01:57. > :02:03.into Saturday evening and overnight into Sunday. Wintry flurries

:02:03. > :02:07.possible anywhere and a couple of centimetres possibly settle him

:02:07. > :02:11.further. Wintry showers across the North-East as well. Ice is possibly

:02:11. > :02:15.the biggest issue for these areas early on Sunday and throughout the

:02:15. > :02:19.day because the temperatures will struggle to lift. Going into next

:02:19. > :02:22.week, we face the prospect of a weather system coming from the
