:00:09. > :00:16.Today has been the warmest day since November. You probably

:00:16. > :00:19.noticed how mild it was. Double figures in Scotland and widely 14

:00:19. > :00:23.Celsius in England and Wales. Much higher than we would expect at this

:00:23. > :00:27.time of the year. It is due to south-westerly winds, which remain

:00:27. > :00:31.very strong through the night. We have wet weather at the moment in

:00:31. > :00:36.the north-west. The rain eased for a while across England and Wales,

:00:36. > :00:39.but it is starting to come back in again, so rain develops more widely

:00:39. > :00:44.and becomes heavier in England and Wales. We have a number weather

:00:44. > :00:48.warning in Devon, with rising river levels here. The main driver is

:00:48. > :00:54.this area of low pressure rushing towards north Scotland. The main

:00:54. > :00:57.story here is the strength of the wind. Howling, stormy winds in the

:00:57. > :01:02.north of Scotland, driving into the Orkney's, together with high tide

:01:02. > :01:06.and some very big waves. A wet and windy start in the far north of

:01:06. > :01:11.Scotland. By morning, we could see wet and windy weather pushing back

:01:11. > :01:14.into the central belt, through southern Scotland, driving into the

:01:14. > :01:18.north-west of England, hard on the heels of the overnight rain, which

:01:18. > :01:22.is beginning to show signs of easing away from the south-east of

:01:22. > :01:27.England by nine in the morning. But showers will follow on, beginning

:01:27. > :01:31.to drive their way through to the West Country. The winds ease down

:01:31. > :01:36.overnight, but they pick up again in the south-west and Wales in time

:01:36. > :01:40.for the rush-hour, blowing in some heavy showers. Across the Irish Sea,

:01:40. > :01:45.whilst we will have a bit of sunshine, you can see the showers

:01:45. > :01:48.waiting to come in. So tomorrow we have a day of sunshine and showers.

:01:48. > :01:54.A much brighter day than today, but the showers will be particularly

:01:54. > :01:58.heavy, with gusty winds around tomorrow. The rain soon clears from

:01:58. > :02:01.the south-east. Some showers then followed before they fade away, and

:02:01. > :02:06.then the heavier showers drive through Northern Ireland and

:02:06. > :02:11.southern Scotland into northern England. There will be hail and

:02:11. > :02:16.thunder. Some welcome sunshine, but it will not feel quite as warm as

:02:16. > :02:20.today. Not bad for this time of year, though. Similar temperatures
