:00:10. > :00:14.Hello again. As a winter draws to a close, we tot up the numbers for

:00:14. > :00:17.the last three months and divide by three and ended with a distinctly

:00:17. > :00:22.average winter across the UK as a whole in terms of sunshine,

:00:22. > :00:27.rainfall and also temperature. That does mask some ups and downs. We

:00:27. > :00:32.started with mild, wet weather in December. It was snowing in January.

:00:32. > :00:37.It finished off with a lot of dry weather, cold and also very, very

:00:37. > :00:41.dull. Guess what we have got for the start of March? More of the

:00:41. > :00:45.same. It is down to an area of high pressure, which is going nowhere in

:00:45. > :00:49.a hurry. The rain is down there, over Spain, for tonight and

:00:49. > :00:53.tomorrow. Very wet, windy and some snow in the mix but nothing like

:00:53. > :00:58.that back here. Still chilly tonight but not as cold as last

:00:58. > :01:05.night because we have more of a cloud cover. A touch of frost, here

:01:05. > :01:09.and there, but patchy. Patchy rain also in the Mist -- in the mix.

:01:09. > :01:13.Temperatures generally about three or four degrees. A little lower in

:01:13. > :01:17.one or two spots. A grey start to Friday for most of us, particularly

:01:17. > :01:20.across the southern parts of the UK. Few brighter spells breaking

:01:20. > :01:25.through further north. Not the extensive sunshine that northern

:01:25. > :01:28.parts have enjoyed for the last couple of days. It is another great

:01:28. > :01:33.one across south-west England. We cannot shift the cloud at the

:01:33. > :01:37.moment. Across southern England that chilly wind continues to blow

:01:37. > :01:43.in from the north-east, just four or five degrees across the north-

:01:43. > :01:49.east coast. In the north, more brightness. There will be some

:01:49. > :01:54.brighter skies in southern Scotland. Not seeing the 12s and 13s we have

:01:54. > :01:57.seen recently. Bringing some up bricks of light rain in across the

:01:57. > :02:01.North of Scotland through Friday evening, we might see a bit in the

:02:01. > :02:05.way of probes -- breaks and the cloud through central parts through

:02:05. > :02:10.the early hours of Saturday morning, leading to a touch of fast. Either

:02:10. > :02:15.side of that, more cloud. Temperatures are few degrees above

:02:15. > :02:20.freezing. What about the weekend? It should stay mostly dry. It will

:02:20. > :02:24.stay mostly cloudy, we cannot shift these conditions at the moment. The
