:00:13. > :00:16.Presley topping the UK charts but can't help falling in love, you may

:00:16. > :00:21.also remember a spring colder than the one we've just been through

:00:21. > :00:25.because the Met office says you have to go back to 1962 to find a spring

:00:25. > :00:28.colder than this one and it was March we did the damage,

:00:28. > :00:32.exceptionally cold. It looks like this spring will be drier than

:00:32. > :00:37.normal but the lack of warmth many of us will remember and it was still

:00:37. > :00:39.in evidence today. In the West, in the sunshine, lovely 21 degrees in

:00:40. > :00:49.Glasgow but in eastern England, temperatures just ten in

:00:49. > :00:52.Scarborough. A bit of a change, though, tomorrow. For the rest of

:00:52. > :00:57.tonight, lingering showers in southern England dying away and we

:00:57. > :01:02.are left with low cloud hill fog across England and a few fog

:01:02. > :01:06.patches, too. Some light rain in the west later on in the night and it's

:01:06. > :01:10.not going to be a cold night. The weather does a switch around

:01:10. > :01:14.tomorrow. Those cloudy areas get a bit brighter and warmer. Especially

:01:14. > :01:18.across eastern England. But for Scotland and Northern Ireland,

:01:18. > :01:22.expect more cloud and lower temperatures. Cloud bringing in

:01:22. > :01:28.patchy rain. For eastern Scotland, slow-moving heavy downpours around,

:01:28. > :01:38.too. Much of England and Wales staying dry. Warm sunshine. It may

:01:38. > :01:47.

:01:47. > :01:50.brighten up in the late afternoon in western Scotland. Heavy downpours in

:01:50. > :01:51.eastern some warmth in the Borders, and the odd heavy shower in

:01:51. > :01:54.north-east England whereas elsewhere across England and Wales, and

:01:54. > :01:56.isolated shower can't be ruled out but most places will be dry. It will

:01:56. > :01:59.feel warm in the sunshine especially across eastern England. Looking fine

:01:59. > :02:02.for the cricket at Lord's. Friday marks the end of the three months

:02:02. > :02:05.which, for statistical purposes, make-up and meteorological spring

:02:05. > :02:09.sale on Saturday, we try our luck with a new month and we have high

:02:09. > :02:12.pressure coming in from the Atlantic, settling things down for

:02:12. > :02:16.England and Wales which will have the best of the weather at the
