:00:08. > :00:13.Good evening. Windy weekend seemed to be very fashionable at the

:00:14. > :00:19.moment. This one will be bang on trend. The wind is only part of a

:00:20. > :00:23.very active weather story. These stories usually involve low-pressure

:00:24. > :00:28.systems. There is one to the south of the UK, and another one brewing

:00:29. > :00:32.in the mid Atlantic. The satellite picture shows the cloud

:00:33. > :00:36.approaching. Ahead of it, we have clearer skies across northern

:00:37. > :00:42.Britain. One or two fog patches forming here, particularly over the

:00:43. > :00:47.of York. Further south, that system is throwing cloud and outbreaks of

:00:48. > :00:52.rain, a misty and murky night here. It will turn quite cold.

:00:53. > :00:56.Temperatures in towns and cities hovering around freezing.

:00:57. > :00:59.Temperatures later in the night starting to pick up in Northern

:01:00. > :01:05.Ireland as that area of cloud arrives, ringing rain through the

:01:06. > :01:08.morning. That band of rain spirals across northern England and Scotland

:01:09. > :01:13.through the day. Further south, showers chased through that -- with

:01:14. > :01:17.that ever-increasing winds. There will be some sunshine between the

:01:18. > :01:23.showers. Northern Scotland will not get the rain until late on, but as

:01:24. > :01:28.it arrives, we will see snow over the Grampians. With those strong

:01:29. > :01:32.winds, it is not the data head to the mountains. Heavy showers for

:01:33. > :01:37.Northern Ireland north-west England. By the afternoon, something a little

:01:38. > :01:40.bit brighter and across northern England and the Midlands. A few

:01:41. > :01:45.showers getting chased through by those winds. The winds will

:01:46. > :01:49.strengthen, particularly here, South Wales and south-west England getting

:01:50. > :01:57.very blustery through the afternoon and evening. Gusts of up to 50 miles

:01:58. > :02:01.an hour or 60. Strong winds and bonfires do not mix. They're that

:02:02. > :02:06.mind if you are heading out on Saturday night. Very strong gusts of

:02:07. > :02:10.wind and showers pretty much wherever you are across the UK. It

:02:11. > :02:14.will stay quite wet across north-eastern areas on Saturday

:02:15. > :02:20.night as that low pulls away. More rain late in the day on Sunday, but

:02:21. > :02:24.for most of us on Sunday, we are between weather systems. It will be

:02:25. > :02:29.blustery with showers, but many of us will see some sunshine before

:02:30. > :02:30.that next area of cloud arrives. That rain could
