:00:09. > :00:16.Good evening. It was a pretty grey day across most of the United

:00:17. > :00:20.Kingdom. Elsewhere there was pretty extensive cloud cover. We are

:00:21. > :00:25.keeping that cloud overnight tonight, we could see some fog

:00:26. > :00:31.forming where it breaks from the wash down towards the Bristol area.

:00:32. > :00:36.With that fog comes a touch of frost. Further north a bit of debris

:00:37. > :00:40.and rain will help keep the temperature is up at five or six

:00:41. > :00:45.degrees. It is a great start to the day with a lot of cloud around and

:00:46. > :00:51.mist and fog in the of the United Kingdom. Away from the fog, a lot of

:00:52. > :00:58.cloud, but not much rain to speak of. A few spits and sports in parts

:00:59. > :01:03.of northern England, but it is a dry start here with a lot of cloud. It

:01:04. > :01:08.is a different story in the north and west of Scotland. This weather

:01:09. > :01:14.front has been gradually drifting southwards during the day. It is

:01:15. > :01:20.quite a slow process, and some of it will turn up in Northern Ireland. In

:01:21. > :01:26.Wales it is a largely dry day. Where the fog lingers temperatures will

:01:27. > :01:32.struggle. Away from the fog it could be six or seven degrees. In the

:01:33. > :01:38.evening the weather front is on the move and it will push its way down

:01:39. > :01:41.across England and Wales. The isobars are getting quite close

:01:42. > :01:49.together, so on Wednesday it will be quite windy. But a central swathe of

:01:50. > :01:55.the UK has a decent day. On Thursday this is one to watch. The low

:01:56. > :02:00.pressure to the north of us and some strong winds and this cold front is

:02:01. > :02:06.heading south. It is coming all the way down from the Arctic and there

:02:07. > :02:10.is a blast of cold air and a significant wind-chill factor. The

:02:11. > :02:17.strongest wind is coming down the eastern side of the UK. This is mid

:02:18. > :02:22.afternoon on Thursday. It is going to feel close to freezing in the

:02:23. > :02:28.North of Scotland. As that weather front slips south, the cold air

:02:29. > :02:30.follows. A real blast of Arctic air is on the way.
