:00:00. > :00:14.Good evening. Big changes over the next few days. It has been great for

:00:15. > :00:19.many of us recently and tomorrow it will brighten up quite nicely with

:00:20. > :00:24.some winter sunshine for us to enjoy. On Thursday we have got

:00:25. > :00:30.severe gales in the forecast and that cold air sticks around into

:00:31. > :00:35.Friday. To get the sunshine we have to clear the skies and that process

:00:36. > :00:41.is already underway. It is behind that we see the clear skies

:00:42. > :00:47.developing. Quite cold across northern England, Northern Ireland

:00:48. > :00:51.and Scotland. Maybe a few icy patches in places. Further south it

:00:52. > :00:56.should be frost free with a lot of cloud and rain moving in. A

:00:57. > :01:03.disappointing start to the day with leaden skies. But the rain is not

:01:04. > :01:09.too heavy. A bit of a damp journey to work. The rain moves away from

:01:10. > :01:14.the south of Wales in the morning. In northern England it is a lovely

:01:15. > :01:18.start to the day with crisp, winter sunshine. It is sunny to for the

:01:19. > :01:24.south and east of Scotland, but breezy in the West and it will be

:01:25. > :01:29.wintry on the hills. Showers in the north and the west of the UK and

:01:30. > :01:33.wintry over the hills. By early afternoon most of the rain should

:01:34. > :01:39.have gone and the cloud follows suit. Then we see sunshine coming

:01:40. > :01:44.out across pretty much all parts of the UK, except in the north of

:01:45. > :01:49.Scotland. Temperatures stay in single figures. In the evening light

:01:50. > :01:53.winds and clear skies mean we see frost is developing in the south of

:01:54. > :02:00.England. Further north the winds keep on picking up and we have a

:02:01. > :02:07.winter storm heading our way. It is going to be very windy indeed. These

:02:08. > :02:12.are the gusts of wind. Maybe 80 miles an hour on the coasts of the

:02:13. > :02:18.north and west of Scotland. Travel disruption is quite likely. A band

:02:19. > :02:25.of rain is moving south and behind that there is some cold air. You can

:02:26. > :02:27.see how the cold air sticks around for many northern and eastern areas

:02:28. > :02:30.into Friday.
