:00:07. > :00:12.Good evening. After an exceptionally mild night last night, tonight will

:00:13. > :00:16.be a chilly affair as we have got much clearer skies across the

:00:17. > :00:21.British Isles. And we will keep those clearer skies into the early

:00:22. > :00:25.hours of Saturday, but it will change dramatically as the day pans

:00:26. > :00:30.out. We are seeing the skies clearing at the moment thanks to

:00:31. > :00:34.this high pressure. It is this low we are up against on Saturday. So,

:00:35. > :00:37.first things that they come actually, a lot of dry weather

:00:38. > :00:44.around. In rural areas, temperatures down to freezing. Towns and cities,

:00:45. > :00:49.4-5. Into the West, a lot of cloud, the rain quickly following. Key

:00:50. > :00:54.elements for Saturday, Scotland and Northern Ireland will be windy.

:00:55. > :00:58.Widespread gales and gusts of wind perhaps touching 70 mph. The wind

:00:59. > :01:02.certainly strong enough to cause damage and possibly some

:01:03. > :01:06.disruption. BBC local radio, great place to get your travel

:01:07. > :01:10.information. Further south, and much quieter start of the weekend.

:01:11. > :01:14.Already the wind picking up in the south-west of England and for Wales,

:01:15. > :01:19.to, but quite mild. It will be chilly further east. Clear skies and

:01:20. > :01:23.early sunshine and the breeze means early-morning problems with mist and

:01:24. > :01:27.fog. The weather system will slowly plough its way eastwards through the

:01:28. > :01:30.day, so Northern Ireland and Scotland not seeing much clearance

:01:31. > :01:33.of the rain in the afternoon. Central and eastern areas of

:01:34. > :01:37.England, though, won't pick up on the worst of it until after dark.

:01:38. > :01:42.There are in mind, if you're heading out on Saturday evening, with the

:01:43. > :01:45.wet across England and Wales. In Scotland and Northern Ireland, some

:01:46. > :01:49.squalling and wintry showers across here during the small hours of

:01:50. > :01:53.Sunday. By the end of the night, it all looks pretty calm once again.

:01:54. > :01:58.The tail end of the previous weather system, the south of the UK, and

:01:59. > :02:01.then again, as the date goes on, another low approaching from the

:02:02. > :02:05.Atlantic, so it all goes downhill quickly through the latter part of

:02:06. > :02:08.Sunday, certainly for England and Wales. More cloud and rain in the

:02:09. > :02:11.south for the afternoon and then later in the day into the evening,

:02:12. > :02:17.very strong wind, particularly for the far west of the British Isles.

:02:18. > :02:21.Perhaps stronger than Saturday. Potentially even gusting up to 80

:02:22. > :02:26.mph. So, through this weekend, some stormy weather. For England and

:02:27. > :02:28.Wales, yes, somewhat windy weather but most of it will come through on

:02:29. > :02:29.Saturday night.
