:00:00. > :00:12.Good evening. Yet another cycle of wet and windy weather is moving

:00:13. > :00:16.across the country at the moment, and there is plenty more of both

:00:17. > :00:20.over the next few days. In the run-up to Christmas, there is no let

:00:21. > :00:24.up in the stormy weather. Travel disruption is likely from the rain

:00:25. > :00:28.and stormy winds. It will turn colder on Christmas Day. But before

:00:29. > :00:33.we get there, more of these things to content with. Another low

:00:34. > :00:37.pressure system sweeping enough the Atlantic, bringing a wet night for

:00:38. > :00:40.many. The strongest winds are currently in the West, but they will

:00:41. > :00:45.get stronger along the south coast, and rain is likely to linger here.

:00:46. > :00:48.Elsewhere will see some clearer skies developing, but with the

:00:49. > :00:55.strength of the wind, it would be a cold night. Into Saturday, strong

:00:56. > :00:58.winds along the south coast, and the rain may start to ease from the

:00:59. > :01:03.south-west. It will linger in the south-east, spreading through parts

:01:04. > :01:07.of the Midlands. Elsewhere, there will be some sunshine, but also bans

:01:08. > :01:12.of showers zipping through. It is a little milder, so the snow will be

:01:13. > :01:16.confined to the very tops of the mountains in Scotland, and there

:01:17. > :01:20.will be sunny spells. Frequent showers for Northern Ireland and

:01:21. > :01:28.northern England. Here, where the sun pops out, make the most of the

:01:29. > :01:32.higher temperature figures. It will stay fairly soggy across the extreme

:01:33. > :01:35.south-east, but further west, drier and brighter, but there is another

:01:36. > :01:42.band of potentially very heavy rain to come marching in, and this

:01:43. > :01:46.feature could be quite squally. Dropping a lot of rain in a short

:01:47. > :01:54.space of time, a lot of spray and surface water on the roads tomorrow

:01:55. > :01:58.evening is that clears, we are left with showers through the early hours

:01:59. > :02:01.of Sunday, but Sunday should be a brighter day across the south-east.

:02:02. > :02:05.The showers turning increasingly wintry further north, because it is

:02:06. > :02:11.a cold day. Temperatures for many stuck in single figures. And at in

:02:12. > :02:16.the Atlantic, another area of low pressure, and this one could prove

:02:17. > :02:22.ugly. The isobars really pinching together for Monday, and another

:02:23. > :02:28.bout of very heavy rain. Monday is a very wet and windy day, not a grey

:02:29. > :02:29.day for travelling, but there will be a lot of travelling to
