:00:12. > :00:18.Good evening. What a weekend it has been. Rather while. This was the

:00:19. > :00:22.huge Catherine wheel of a storm that affected us today, particularly in

:00:23. > :00:27.northern areas, where it is still blowing a good old gale over

:00:28. > :00:31.Scotland with gusts of 50 to 60 miles an hour. Gradually easing down

:00:32. > :00:35.through the early hours but pretty wet here as well. Elsewhere,

:00:36. > :00:40.quieter. Still showers across western areas but many of us will

:00:41. > :00:43.end the night on a quiet note. With a lot of moisture on the ground we

:00:44. > :00:48.could see some slippery surfaces first thing in the morning. Saturday

:00:49. > :00:53.will be a different sort of day - bright and breezy for many of us.

:00:54. > :00:57.But there will be lines of showers pushing in on the breeze and still

:00:58. > :01:00.very windy for a time across the far north. More clout around with

:01:01. > :01:04.prolonged outbreaks of rain. In fact, in the middle of the

:01:05. > :01:08.afternoon, this band of rain pushes southwards again, with Hill Snow,

:01:09. > :01:16.too. Showers for Northern Ireland but the wind is not as strong. A lot

:01:17. > :01:21.of sunshine across central and eastern areas with a line of showers

:01:22. > :01:26.moving up the Bristol Channel. We have to keep our eye on these

:01:27. > :01:31.showers moving across Essex and Kent. They could actually be more of

:01:32. > :01:36.a future for a time through tomorrow evening. Still some showers out west

:01:37. > :01:41.but the main story from Saturday into Sunday is clearing skies with

:01:42. > :01:45.widespread frost to start the day. However, Sunday looks like a lovely

:01:46. > :01:50.day for most of us. Bright, crisp, lots of sunshine with cloud doubling

:01:51. > :01:54.up later across western areas and a sign of things to come, because it

:01:55. > :01:56.is a brief interlude as it gets stormy again next week. -- cloud

:01:57. > :02:00.bubbling up.
