:00:00. > :00:13.Good evening. No real letter from the turbulent weather at the moment.

:00:14. > :00:17.If you look at the satellite imagery, that is New Year's Day's

:00:18. > :00:25.wind and rain. This is tomorrow's coming hot on the heels of what you

:00:26. > :00:30.have seen today. We could see some ice in parts of Scotland, but

:00:31. > :00:35.through the night, you will see temperatures rising as the wind

:00:36. > :00:42.strengthens. With the rain will come some squally winds. For breakfast

:00:43. > :00:45.across western Scotland, Wales and western England, bursts of heavy

:00:46. > :00:51.rain, and a narrower band of rain compared to today. The wind could be

:00:52. > :00:55.potentially damaging. The showers will reach the East Coast by

:00:56. > :01:02.lunchtime, but most of the country will then be dry and bright for a

:01:03. > :01:05.time. The breeze will pick up again later on, and squally showers

:01:06. > :01:10.pushing through for the evening in the run-up to midnight, some of them

:01:11. > :01:15.heavy and thundery. If you are celebrating in the capital as we

:01:16. > :01:17.ring in 2014, you have a greater chance of getting wet in Cardiff and

:01:18. > :01:24.London than in Belfast and Edinburgh. The new year starts try

:01:25. > :01:28.and bright, but then heavy rain spreads through from the Southwest

:01:29. > :01:30.all parts during the day. So there is the risk of further flooding.
