:00:08. > :00:13.It's going to get colder than it's been all winter. Ahead of that,

:00:14. > :00:18.though, the showers keep going and going through tonight and into

:00:19. > :00:22.tomorrow. Some of them heavy, possibly thundery too. Here's the

:00:23. > :00:26.satellite. We can pick out the swirl of cloud here. The bands of shower

:00:27. > :00:31.clouds that have been streaming into the UK. All driven and wrapped

:00:32. > :00:34.around an area of low. That is the driving force for the showers that

:00:35. > :00:38.we have at the moment. The centre close to Northern Ireland, which is

:00:39. > :00:42.why it's been so wet earlier in the evening. As the low drifts south, it

:00:43. > :00:45.takes more showers into England and Wales. With fewer breaks in the

:00:46. > :00:49.cloud overnight, it won't be as cold as last night. The ice risk

:00:50. > :00:57.restricted to northern Scotland. Most of the showers will be of rain,

:00:58. > :01:01.but we could have showers over the Highlands. Mostly rain and across

:01:02. > :01:05.the easten side of the country. Still some showers in Northern

:01:06. > :01:08.Ireland. Beginning to ease way from all but eastern counties. Across

:01:09. > :01:13.England and Wales, a lot of cloud for the rush hour in the morning. A

:01:14. > :01:18.lot of showers this time not just in the south-east, but across the south

:01:19. > :01:22.and into Wales. The reason we are getting more showers across the

:01:23. > :01:26.south is that the wind direction is changing and we are drawing in the

:01:27. > :01:33.showers from the warmer Channel. Around the north of that low, we are

:01:34. > :01:36.the rain going. A bit dryer across the west of Scotland. With the low

:01:37. > :01:40.pressure pulling away from Northern Ireland, it should be less wet here,

:01:41. > :01:47.but a lot of showers for England and Wales. Temperatures six to nine. On

:01:48. > :01:51.a par with today. We start then with a lot of showers. The risk of

:01:52. > :01:56.localised flooding. Mid-week, temperatures take a tumble and we'll

:01:57. > :02:01.have more widespread frosts and icy conditions, but briefly it will be

:02:02. > :02:05.dryer. The really cold air is in the north-east of Europe and

:02:06. > :02:08.Scandinavia, below freezing all day. We'll not be as cold as that, but as

:02:09. > :02:13.the low pressure that's bringing the showers drifts south into Europe, we

:02:14. > :02:18.start to draw in an easterly wind and drag in the cold air and we have

:02:19. > :02:21.the conflict with the fronts off the Atlantic.
