:00:08. > :00:12.very good night. Good evening. As we have seen, it

:00:13. > :00:17.has been an exceptionally wet month and it is not even over yet. The

:00:18. > :00:23.final day of January promises even more heavy rain and that is not the

:00:24. > :00:29.only hazard. There could be some snow and strong winds over the next

:00:30. > :00:34.48 hours. We have seen too many of these weather systems steaming in

:00:35. > :00:39.from the Atlantic. It is not with this yet, however. Some snow over

:00:40. > :00:44.the hills in northern England and eastern Scotland. Some mist and fog

:00:45. > :00:51.patches in the south. Many of us will start Friday Drive, however the

:00:52. > :00:57.rain is on its way and it will gradually spread its way from west

:00:58. > :01:01.to east. It is easily ten to 15 millimetres and in some places there

:01:02. > :01:06.will be more than that. There is an amber warning in Somerset where we

:01:07. > :01:13.could see 32 millimetres of rain. It does not arrive late in the East --

:01:14. > :01:18.in the east until late in the day. There could well be some snow on the

:01:19. > :01:23.higher parts of northern England, particularly across the hills and

:01:24. > :01:27.mountains of Scotland, arriving in the evening rush hour. If you are

:01:28. > :01:33.travelling tomorrow in Scotland, take note, those high winds will be

:01:34. > :01:40.blowing the snow around. It is a wet evening wherever you are. There

:01:41. > :01:45.could be some snow at lower levels in Scotland in the early hours.

:01:46. > :01:49.Wintry showers sweep across the country throughout Saturday. Some

:01:50. > :01:55.drier and brighter spells in between, but feeling cold as the

:01:56. > :02:01.temperatures stay in single digits. The wind itself could cause some

:02:02. > :02:05.problems on Saturday. Gusts possibly up to 70 miles an hour. If they

:02:06. > :02:12.combine with high tides, that could bring some coastal flooding. Sunday

:02:13. > :02:17.looks a lot calmer. Some lengthier and drier spells at least. However,

:02:18. > :02:23.before we get there there are some potential hazards over the next

:02:24. > :02:27.couple of days. Through Friday evening and overnight and into

:02:28. > :02:30.Saturday there is potential for snow in Scotland. Those strong and gusty

:02:31. > :02:31.winds bring
