:00:11. > :00:16.Good evening. Today's heavy and persistent rain is disappearing over

:00:17. > :00:23.the horizon. Sadly, the other problems are not. Problems to come

:00:24. > :00:26.tonight include snow over Scotland and Northern Ireland, and tomorrow,

:00:27. > :00:32.strong winds and high tides bringing the potential for flooding. This

:00:33. > :00:38.area of low pressure is moving towards us. The first weather front

:00:39. > :00:41.brought today's rain, and there is another one tucking in behind. As

:00:42. > :00:47.that crosses Northern Ireland and Scotland, there will be some snow,

:00:48. > :00:51.mostly over the hills. Later in the night, as sky is clear, it will turn

:00:52. > :00:58.cold. There will be a frost and Saturday morning may well be icy. A

:00:59. > :01:02.wintry start to the weekend. There could well -- there could well be

:01:03. > :01:07.some more snow. Then bands of showers will come streaming in from

:01:08. > :01:13.that area of low pressure across all areas. Some hail and sleet mitt in.

:01:14. > :01:19.Either late afternoon, the snow will be confined to the hills of northern

:01:20. > :01:24.England. It will feel cool, and don't forget the winds, which will

:01:25. > :01:31.be increasing throughout the day. Dust around western coasts, maybe up

:01:32. > :01:35.to 70 miles an hour. -- gusts. It will get worse if the strong winds

:01:36. > :01:44.combined with very high tides. These are the tide times. Those strong

:01:45. > :01:48.winds pushing in the tides, making the waves even higher. The

:01:49. > :01:53.Environment Agency are really concerned about this. They say it is

:01:54. > :01:57.potentially life-threatening. Please don't go out looking for those big

:01:58. > :02:01.waves tomorrow. There's the flood line number. There are already a

:02:02. > :02:06.number of severe flood warnings in force. The low pressure system is

:02:07. > :02:12.still with us on Saturday evening. Expect to get wet if you are heading

:02:13. > :02:17.out. The low drifts away on Sunday. Sunday is no picnic, but it is an

:02:18. > :02:21.improving picture. There will not be as many showers. A better chance of

:02:22. > :02:28.seeing some sunny spells, and the winds will not be as strong. Sunday

:02:29. > :02:30.a brief respite, but there is more rain to come next week. The flood
