:00:00. > :00:12.Good evening. As you have just heard on your local forecast there is more

:00:13. > :00:15.wind and rain to come. The story is dominated by two potent areas of low

:00:16. > :00:18.pressure. There are parts of the world that need the rain at the

:00:19. > :00:24.moment, let me take you to California. That has arrived in the

:00:25. > :00:28.form of patchy rain over the past 24 hours or so. The reason I take you

:00:29. > :00:34.here is the cloud responsible for it, well that will develop into

:00:35. > :00:39.Saturday's storm system. That same jet stream is picking up this area

:00:40. > :00:42.of cloud at the moment, developing into a deepening area of low

:00:43. > :00:45.pressure in the Atlantic and that will bring wet and windy weather for

:00:46. > :00:53.Wednesday. This rain has been spread in from

:00:54. > :01:01.the west during the day. It will continue as an erratic band of rain

:01:02. > :01:05.and hill snow. In the clearer skies between, we

:01:06. > :01:10.could see a touch of frost and ice into a rather chilly Tuesday

:01:11. > :01:15.morning. Wet for the early rises. It does brighten up here throughout the

:01:16. > :01:20.day. Elsewhere, dry and bright moments A good scattering of heavy

:01:21. > :01:24.showers, becoming fewer in numbers during the afternoon.

:01:25. > :01:29.That is until later on - this is the next storm system starting to work

:01:30. > :01:32.its way in. A deepening area of low pressure which will spread in strong

:01:33. > :01:37.winds and heavy rains into Tuesday night and into Wednesday morning. As

:01:38. > :01:41.the low gets closer into Wednesday, the winds strengthen further. We

:01:42. > :01:47.could see maybe 80 miles per hour across some southern and western

:01:48. > :01:53.areas. They will whip up high seas. We have seen some of the sea

:01:54. > :01:57.defences washed away here. The winds will be wrapped around rain,

:01:58. > :02:04.producing the risk of flooding inland as well. 20-40 mms of rain

:02:05. > :02:07.possible in one or two spots. Low pressure to the north over Thursday.

:02:08. > :02:13.Across Scotland and Northern Ireland, where we will see more

:02:14. > :02:19.persistent rain. After that a brighter day.

:02:20. > :02:23.After a bright day, we see showers to end the day. That rain I

:02:24. > :02:28.mentioned in California, well here it comes in our next stormy low

:02:29. > :03:02.pressure system to take us to the weekend. There are weather

:03:03. > :03:07.They should've called this the Widow Maker!
