:00:00. > :00:08.That is when the wind is going to pick up. Thursday looks like a

:00:09. > :00:11.quieter day. Good evening, a roller-coaster ride

:00:12. > :00:17.of weather continues across the British Isles. We want to get off,

:00:18. > :00:22.but unfortunately we have got more white knuckle rides to come. This

:00:23. > :00:28.area of low pressure is bringing wet and extremely windy weather. It

:00:29. > :00:32.happens again on Friday with another deep low moving in from the

:00:33. > :00:38.south-west. That means that potentially over the next five days

:00:39. > :00:44.we could see as much a 60 - 80 millimetres of rainfall, among's

:00:45. > :00:50.worth in just five days. Before that there are lots of tricky conditions

:00:51. > :00:53.out there at the moment. We have got snow across Scotland and Northern

:00:54. > :00:59.Ireland. As these showers pushed further inland and temperatures fall

:01:00. > :01:04.away, we could see snow at lower levels as well. It is a similar

:01:05. > :01:09.story for South Yorkshire and into Derbyshire and perhaps the Midlands.

:01:10. > :01:15.Even if we do not get the snow, and we keep the showers, it will be a

:01:16. > :01:20.cold night, so that could lead to icy stretches on the roads. That

:01:21. > :01:25.will pale into insignificance because the wind is already picking

:01:26. > :01:30.up and an intense band of rain continues to push in across the

:01:31. > :01:35.country. This time it will be a bit more prolonged for tomorrow. The

:01:36. > :01:42.wins either significant feature. There is an amber warning for the

:01:43. > :01:47.gusts of wind. Let's look at the afternoon. In the Northern Isles and

:01:48. > :01:53.the far north of Scotland it is quite quiet. Snow continues across

:01:54. > :01:58.the mountains and sharp showers in northern Ireland and northern

:01:59. > :02:05.England. The winds pick up into the North West and the South of Wales.

:02:06. > :02:10.The band of rain is still clinging on to East Anglia and the Essex and

:02:11. > :02:17.Kent coasts. Blizzard conditions are possible overnight in Scotland and

:02:18. > :02:22.on the higher ground. By Thursday things potentially get a little

:02:23. > :02:27.quieter. There will be some showers around, but wet and windy weather

:02:28. > :02:28.set to return as we move towards Friday.
